Chapter 74- (Daemons Multiverse)
Karma stays with Ink and meets a parasite.
Karma has so much fun!...Ink does not

Daemons Multiverse
Things soon calmed down and when Karma had a chance to look around, he was a bit sad to see that Gaster had already left. He was busy thinking of where he would now go, when Ink had burst out in excited chatter about taking him to his place.
Now he might have rejected this idea if it wasn't for how awesome Inks' companion was, who was called Chroma. He loved being able to lay on them and they even talked to him! He was sure he was making a new friend and as they looked comfortable around Ink, he would give the Creator a chance.
The Doodle Sphere had visually no differences to what he was used to but he actually liked it. It was nice having something the same in a place where there were so many major differences.
It took a few hours to calm his emotions after that stressful situation, making him fiddle with the beads on his scarf for comfort. He was also a tad drained from hiding his emotions from the twins but he thankfully had some food in his inventory to sort that out.
He had been on guard the first few days and was thankful Chorma had stayed by his side, letting him lean on them in comfort.
Not seeing any paint vials was a massive step to calm him and as the days passed he started to relax around the Creator. It helped that Ink had loads of cool ideas on what they could do and it made seeing all the new things so much easier with a guide. He fully relaxed in the others' presence, when they accidentally brushed against his wings, making his new magic hum at him in happiness.
He was a tad annoyed that his wings had become more sensitive though, after the magic from his brother was added but he was hoping it would settle down soon. Perhaps learning to use the new magic type would help? It was a thought but he was in no rush, first he had to see how many animals Chroma could turn into. He would love it if they could become mythical creatures. That would be so cool!
"Karma! Can you come downstairs please?"
He perked up at the sound and stood up to stretch, snorting as Chroma gave a grumble at being woken up. Looking around his bedroom he was still surprised that Ink had made sure to decorate it to his tastes. He loved all the pillows and ledges on the walls that he could fly up to. Even the large fluffy rug was amazing to lie down on. He was unsure why Ink had insisted he choose every detail but he did love the results.
"Come on, sleepy heads! The food is getting cold"
'Why is he so loud?"
He chirped in amusement at Chroma, who continued to grumble when they turned into a snake, before winding around his neck. When he was sure they were comfy he went downstairs, relieved they had no surprise visitors today.
Karma's wings fluttered at the chocolate waffles on the table and he headed straight for them, occasionally feeding a bite to Chroma. Apparently Daemons didn't need to eat but it was an enjoyable activity.
He had been horrified when they told him they had never had chocolate so had demanded Ink bring them a selection for them to try. It had been a fun day, where they had watched movies while rating the many desserts Ink had found. Ink had gained his respect after admitting that they were all delicious. This Creator didn't seem too bad.
"Now that you have finished it's time to get ready"
Karma looked at them in puzzlement but then remembered that they were going to the park today. He had hoped Ink would have forgotten, as it didn't sound like it would be much different to what he had experienced before. He glanced at the door in contemplation but squawked when Ink picked him up, taking him through an already open portal.
They were getting too good at predicting him and even the traitor Chroma laughed at him!
"It won't be that bad, Karma. Look at all the slides this place has! They even have a climbing wall!"
It sounded to him that Ink was the one who wanted to be here more than him. He wiggled in the hold, pleased when he was let down. He waited for Ink to stop talking about how 'great' the park was and all the 'new friends' he would make.
He highly doubted that as not having a visible Daemon always unnerved the majority of monsters. Children were the worst and he was determined to avoid them while he was in this multiverse.
"INK? WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?"
He stiffened at the voice and warily looked over at Blue. Ignoring their curious look he focused on their Daemon instead. He loved how big the hare was and thought the various shades of brown fur looked very nice. He was waiting to grab Inks attention so they could just leave but it seemed this new distraction would mean it would be a while.
He lifted Chroma off him and held them near Inks arm, letting them wrap around them instead. Looking around he found a nice shady spot, leaving the two adults to talk to each other.
He sighed in relief at how much quieter it was here and leaned back against a tree, until a small fuzzy object caught his attention.
Kneeling near it he grinned at realising it was a furby, but why was it here?
"Hey brah. I can see you found one of my runaways. Mind passing them over, dawg?"
He had easily sensed Fresh coming near, so with no alarm he picked up the black furby and handed it over to the much taller monster. Looking behind them he chirped at seeing even more furbys on the ground.
"Can I play with them?"
He rarely met up with Fresh variants so felt rather calm with the usually neutral monster. They merely grinned at him before their glasses flashed to SU-RE. He sat in the middle of the numerous furbys, softly petting the different furs, enamoured at how varied they were. His wings flared in glee when some started talking. This was so much better than being out there with all the noise.
He did have to keep shifting out of the way for one of them though, unsure why it was so keen on getting so close. It was cool that Daemons came in all shapes and wondered what the strangest ones were. When he had to move yet again, to avoid touching Freshs' Daemon, he looked up at Fresh in confusion.
"Why are they doing that? Can't they feel my magic?"
He did love seeing all the animal shaped SOULS but he had to be much more careful with his magic. It would be so easy to snap the golden thread he saw connecting the two, making him curious if the Reaper of this place had the same issue.
Fresh was glad he was finally able to meet the babybones, who had caused such a stir in the Council of Sans. Ink had been being such a buzzkill, shooing him away but now he had the chance to see if all the rumours were true. While intrigued how they knew which one was his Daemon, he wanted to confirm something first.
He sat on the ground beside them and reached a hand to tap their chest. He could tell they weren't Daemon less, no matter what the more hysterical said. It was part of his nature to always be able to find his preys Daemons.
It was hilarious how no one noticed what he was, as his Daemon always took over his preys. Most took his Daemons odd shape due to his eccentricity and not due to him being a different species. Ink did know what he was but clearly didn't care, as long as he didn't make too much of a mess.
He pulled back when he felt their magic start to spike at his touch. His instincts were also blaring at him to be careful but where would the fun be in that? He instead started to pat their skull, smirking at the puzzlement on their face.
"KARMA! Where are you?!"
Fresh pouted at his fun ending so soon but paused as he had an idea. Why not just steal them? Grinning at his genius plan he gathered all of his furbys and picked up Karma, liking how he didn't need to bother with the annoying issue of grabbing their Daemon as well.
He was mystified how other monsters dealt with having to avoid other Daemons but it was one of the so-called 'taboos' he enjoyed playing with. It was even better when Ink was there to join in as well! It was hilarious when some fainted, from watching them interact casually with others.
*Fresh-Poof!*
He truly had the best way to travel and easily avoided being caught by Ink. He should probably move quickly before they found him.
"Why are we here?"
He grinned down at the babybones before walking to Life's garden. Reapertale was a great place to go, especially with all the stuck up monsters. A hiss from his arms made him look for the source, spotting Reaper grumbling to their brother. Checking their Daemon he was sad to not see it in its other form.
While a hyena was cool, the weird crow was so much more fun to mess with. Bird Daemons were so fussy about their wings and therefore so much easier to play with.
It was also interesting how such large mind shifts could alter your Daemon, even when you were of age. That is why Fresh decided to be such a 'kind' monster, making sure to help Reaper chill out more. He hardly received any gratitude though but he thought the bright pink wings had looked great on them!
Rushing away when he saw them about to look over, he walked further into the field of flowers. He smirked at spotting his prize and he shot out his hand, managing to cage the butterfly in his grip.
He showed it to Karma, who cooed at the iridescent wings but didn't touch it. When he tried to bring it closer they only pushed his hand away, glaring at him in irritation. What a funny babybones.
"What are you doing?!"
He pouted at Reaper being able to find him so quickly but smirked at the panic on their face.
"You need to leave!"
You try and 'eat' a few Gods and they get all huffy. Even if they saw it as him merely being a cannibal, like Horror. There was no way he was correcting them, as that was even funnier than the truth. A perfect disguise as well.
"P-Please. S-Stop"
He grinned at Life, impressed how they were able to pale with all the white fur they had. He tightened his fist with the 'butterfly' in response, snorting at the wince on their face. This was just too easy. Where were the boastful 'all powerful Gods'?
"Are you going to eat it?"
This seemed to startle the other two monsters, who were now looking at the babybones in horror. He really should bring them along for more of his visits, they made others have the best reactions!
When his laughter faded it clicked in his mind what they had just said. It seemed the little dude could sense Daemons just like Reaper. Ink found such cool things. That was why he made sure to visit them often.
He started to bring his fist closer to his mouth, curious what a 'God' would taste like.
"No. You know the rules"
He huffed at his fun being denied and glared at Ink in annoyance. Seeing Reapers phone out he knew he would have to think of something special to 'thank' them for this. The way Reapers feathers ruffled, at his attention meant that they knew it too. He reluctantly let go of Life's Daemon before cradling Karma closer.
Watching Ink carefully, he started to nuzzle the babybones making them giggle in response. Seeing Ink tense was so fun but he could feel their magic start to gather, so knew this would have to end. With one last squeeze he threw Karma at Ink and Fresh-Poofed away, unwilling to stay for any 'punishment'.
Time to see what else he can do to stir up the boring normality of the AU's!
-
Karma thought the day trip went great! Much better then what Ink had planned for him to do. While happy to be fussed over by Chroma when he got back home, he scowled whenever Ink tried to get closer. That was too much energy for him to deal with!
He did manage to see some cool rocks and even a very odd plant in Reapertale, that Fresh had surprisingly taken note of and dropped them off later, much to Inks irritation.
He had therefore decided to drop them off for his brother to find in their shared space, not liking the look Ink had been giving the items. It was nice having a place that he could get away from everyone, with no risk of others finding him.
The following days were much quieter and he appreciated just staying in the Doodle Sphere. He did meet the Destroyer of this multiverse and they had looked much calmer than others he had met before and even their Daemon was cute! It was rather a nice change to the constant fights between Creator and Destroyer he was used to seeing.
Currently he was having a wonderful nap on Chroma, who decided to take on a much larger form of a bear. This was definitely his new best friend.
'Little bird, Ink is calling'
Karma was more than willing to ignore that and instead buried himself further into their fur. Ink could wait, further napping awaited him.
'Karma...'
He was about to doze off when his fluffy bed disappeared and the hard ground met him. He groggily pushed himself up and saw Ink next to him, looking rather nervous.
"K-Karma. I-I want to t-talk abo-ut...y-you see the t-thing is-"
Karma could see this would take ages if he left them be. He got closer to them and when they looked at him in confusion, he saw his chance. He easily pushed them onto the floor and sat on their chest, lying on top of them. While not as comfy as his previous spot it was still good.
He could still feel some shaking coming from Ink so started to purr in comfort. This was a familiar position and he felt more than happy to nap here now.
"..Do you know?"
"Hmm?"
"Do you know, Karma?"
He was uncertain what was being asked but when he reluctantly looked at their face, he observed their white eyelights. He felt surprisingly calm, as he had grown rather used to this Creator. It helped that he could spot Chroma sitting nearby, watching them both with a placid gaze.
"Of course i do"
He was more puzzled how no one else had noticed but it could be due to how unusual the situation was. He had known Ink was soulless as soon as he saw them. It was a rather clever way to use paints though, by creating a bond with their 'Daemon'.
Chroma was technically 'alive' to his senses and it felt more like a symbiotic situation that the two of them had. Ink fed the magic and Chroma helped Ink with his emotions.
This multiverse had so many odd things. It was great!
