Chapter 62- (X-Bitty Multiverse)
The Bitties have not had an easy life and sadly it doesn't get better

X-Bitty Multiverse
The three bitties shivered in the back of their cage, waiting to see where they would end up next. The three of them had been to many homes but were always sent back, as they ended up needing much more magic to survive than others of their type. It didn't help that they had formed a family bond between each other, meaning they had to be housed together.
They had been given many new names but they all decided to stick with what monster they were created after. Dream was the leader of the group with Ink and Blue acting as support. This had helped them survive many households and they feared what their next 'home' would be like. Blue hated the fact that they had to rely on others for magic and was losing hope of ever finding a true home.
They heard the bell of the shop ring and they made sure to hide themselves from any customers. It was especially bad when children came, as they liked to poke at all the Bitties, usually very roughly.
"Hello, welcome to Bitty Central, how can I help you?"
"Hello! I need a Bitty and I don't care what type. I just need it to keep my kid company most of the day. There is no limit or restriction, as long as they are non-violent"
"Let me show you the most popular types with children. If you will follow me over here"
Blue relaxed his posture, knowing their area would be avoided. Therefore he was rather shocked when a skeletons monster's face stared at him, through the glass divider.
"These are perfect. I'll take them"
"Sir, these have been sent back multiple times. Are you sure you don't want others? We have much friendlier ones available"
"Nope. I know my kid with love them"
Dream shivered at the monster, pulling his family closer towards him. He could sense their emotions and they felt strange. He didn't trust them. There was sadly not much he could do as they were soon put into the carrier box, to be sent off to their new home.
"Now listen here. I don't care what you do as long as my kid is entertained. It's rather annoying having to get you but I was told it was important not to leave kids alone..or something. I stopped listening at that point. We are here! Be good or else~"
The box they were in was roughly put on a surface and they cowered in a corner. This was already starting off badly.
"Karma~. Come see what i got"
Ink was wary of his big look alike and didn't like the tone of their voice. His SOUL sank as the lid was opened, removing the illusion of safety. He didn't look away from the larger threat, even if he briefly glanced at the child they would be a 'gift' to.
"They can keep you company now while I'm busy with work.....well, see you later"
Dream was appalled as the parent just left. He might not have the largest empathy range but he didn't sense anyone else nearby. Was the kid expected to live by themselves? He pushed back the other two when he saw the kid get closer and was confused when instead of grabbing them, their box was lowered to the ground.
"Hi, my name is Karma and you just met Ink. There should be nothing dangerous for you in the house, so feel free to explore"
Dream was bewildered how the kid then left them alone, only watching them occasionally when they moved around. They all explored this new environment starting to feel more tired as the hours went by.
A sudden burst of magic shocked them and when they looked for the source, they spotted the kid sitting on the couch, staring at them in approval. Just where had they ended up?
-
After the first night they slowly started interacting with the kid, growing to enjoy their company. Karma was rather quiet and didn't seem to do much apart from watch the tv. When asked why, they were told that there was pretty much nothing else to do here.
"If you guys want to go outside, I did see an open window in the kitchen. You can probably leave by there"
"What about the front door?"
Dream was rather confused at the odd way of getting outside and not using the more obvious choice.
"Oh well, i can't go outside as the house is warded against me leaving. Ink said it was too dangerous but i don't mind too much"
This was only the start of the many red flags they would see in the home, concerning Karma. Another was how they rarely saw big Ink around.
"Karma, when do you get fed?"
"I don't. Ink has been far too busy to come here, let alone for me to ask for anything. I will be fine though so no need to worry. I can still feed you all"
That had not been the issue but no matter how they worded it, Karma did not seem phased by the adult monster's behaviour. That is when they decided that they would have to be the adults here but first they needed to get closer to their new member.
They started to watch tv with them and even started playing games around the house. The most important stage was the naming.
"You want me to name you all?...why?"
"All Bitties are given the same names corresponding to their type. Being given a new name is..special"
"Shouldn't you get Ink to do this then? Isn't he the primary carer for you guys?"
"I THINK I WOULD RATHER DUS-"
"What Blue means is that we would like you to do it instead. We don't want to disturb Ink as he is so..busy"
"Ok, if you are sure"
That is how Dream became Sunny, Blue changed to Azure and Ink to Blot. Blot was the most pleased, as he had hated having to share a name with the larger monster. They were happy in their new routine so were shocked when Ink started visiting daily.
Karma seemed pleased by it but the Bitties hid away, keeping watch over the interactions.
"Come over here, Karma. I want you to try something new. I'll get you some chocolate later as a reward~"
Ink might look outwardly happy but there was an unsettling gleam in their sockets, when Karma got near. Sunny watched as Ink grabbed one of his coloured vials and offered it to Karma.
"Drink all of this"
"But I thought this was only meant for you, Ink? Don't you need it?"
The Bitties were missing something important, as they saw Ink twitch at the response.
"I can easily get more. This should help you feel better. I have noticed how tired you have been lately"
Blot was outraged at the blatant lie. They other hadn't been around enough to tell..unless they were secretly watching them all. This was getting rather dangerous and he wanted to warn Karma, but it was too late. They all watched in horror as Karma Drank it all and then were grabbed by Ink, before they could collapse to the ground.
"Whoops. I should do it on the couch next time. Rather odd they fell asleep though. I wonder what the other colours will do?"
The Bitties could only watch in dismay as Ink visited every night and fed a new vial to Karma. It got to the point where Ink had to forcefully feed them it, as Karma looked too disoriented to do it themselves.
The Bitties made sure to stay close to the kid, after Ink left, trying to keep Karma awake and coherent. They had to get out of this house as soon as they could, before things got deadly.
One night the pattern was shattered, as this time the Bitties were laying on top of Karma, who had not woken up since yesterday. They heard Ink appear in the kitchen, followed by the crashing of plates and pans.
When Ink came into the living room they all felt a cold sweat, at the look on the other's face. They looked blank and Blot pointed out the missing vials on their chest.
They didn't move when they saw Ink stalk closer to Karma and lift them into his arms, seeming happy to ignore their existence. They all gathered into Karmas scarf, holding on tight, when the world seemed to drastically change around them.
Azure searched the surroundings and was uneasy at how everything looked black and white.
"I brought them. The main player should come searching for them"
Sunny stiffened at the dead tone, not being able to sense any emotions from Ink. Was the other even a monster?
"Put him down and you can have it back, Ink"
The Bitties held on tight as Karma was placed on the ground, hearing a loud clatter following soon after. Glancing over they spotted the vials Ink usually had, on the ground nearby. They were silent as Ink grabbed the item and walked away, without a glance back at Karma.
"Oh? I wasn't expecting so many guests. What shall I do with all of you?"
They were all scared stiff at the malevolence in the voice and froze as purple eyelights fell on them and their sleeping charge.
