Chapter 19- (Blueberror Multiverse)

Lots of new things for Karma to see

———

The landing was surprisingly soft but very cold. He happily laid limp, with no rush to see his new surroundings. He sensed no SOULS near him but there were some present, wherever he was. Pushing himself up he wiped off the snow and looked around. It reminded him of Snowdin but that did not help to narrow down where he was. His powers were working fine but he was unsure where to even go from here.

His bonds were still blocked as the 'collar' Dream had put on him was still charged. He wasn't even sure where he would go even if he had the choice. Dream hadn't been too bad to stay with and neither had Ink, but nothing stood out to him. He still hadn't found a real home and was wary to even try. It had been many loops since his last safe place was ripped away from him. He wanted to save himself the inevitable sorrow from feeling that again. He did want to keep his sanity at least, through his personal hell.

Dreams' words of not leaving him were pretty little lies, he had heard them countless times. There had been no need to crush the others' hopes by saying anything, he had some tact still.

He focused on the present and decided to explore where he was. He made sure to make himself invisible to the mortals, to avoid any uncomfortable questions. He took his time looking around as he had no destination or set time limit. The feather on his chest was certainly full of magic, so perhaps he would be picked up soon. He would enjoy the freedom of being alone while he could.

He saw no monster dust around so assumed the human was either doing a pacifist run or hadn't arrived yet. He sadly hadn't seen any of the importation monsters, to help tell how far along the timeline it was.

He stopped moving when he spotted the CORE. It was such a beautiful piece of machinery that was linked with hope and despair. He felt a tug on his power, signalling a potential death happening nearby. Curious he followed into the main Lab and wasn't surprised when he spotted a Gaster near the edge of the Core. The warning lights were flashing and he saw on the nearest screen, a message about an overload occuring.

He had arrived very early it seems. Most AU's were further along than this and he rarely had the privilege to witness this iconic moment. Would this one perhaps survive? Would they be pushed by their Sans? The possibilities were endless and he flew higher to observe It all in detail.

He heard the creaking of the platform but knew no one else did. He blankly watched as this Gaster fell in the CORE, with their SOUL instantly shattering. It seemed it was a lucky one this time, as they would not be stuck to wander forever lost in time. His eye light however froze on the Void opening. The power of the CORE was truly terrifying at what it could accomplish, but he was more tempted to jump in. Surely even a God would not survive that? He must have been thinking too long as the opening closed, with the machinery going back to normal.

He was disappointed but he was sure he would find another opportunity. He rarely interfered in the lives of mortals, as the results could get rather messy. What happened was meant to occur and the timeline moved forward in a healthy flow. He teleported away when he heard voices coming. There was no need to intrude on someone's grief.

Days passed when the familiar hunger appeared. He felt no need to steal from the sealed monsters, so continued with his unhurried walk. It was easily ignored even though his SOUL rebelled at the lack of fresh magic. He slept in the trees in Snowdin or the cave around Wetland. His body would survive and the breaks staved off boredom.

When he felt an odd SOUL enter this universe, he was intrigued. He followed its direction and saw it was located in Judgment Hall. He walked to be standing in front of the visitor and hummed when he saw them fully.

Most wrongly assumed that just because Fresh ate SOULS, meant he did not have one of his own. It may have been differently shaped to other monsters or humans, but it was less present. He supposed it was chosen ignorance so as not to feel guilt, at trying to kill a being doing what it must to survive.

"Hey, mah little dude. I'm Fresh! You seen Sans at all? Need a radical chat with him"

"Too early in the timeline. Good luck on the next one though"

Fresh felt his interest peak at this unusual little monster. He never went for child hosts as adults were much sturdier. His nature also rebelled at the thought of ending young before they could grow. He was sure he had never seen this one before but their words made it seem they knew what he was.

He sensed no fear from them and was observed with a steady gaze. What AU were they from and why were they here? He walked closer, towering over the small skeleton. Pulling down his glasses he observed them with his true self. He could taste death on them, but he knew Reaper had no young. He focused on the yellow pulsing magic but he couldn't tell what it was. The item did try to push him away from the younger monster, strangely enough. What a weird little trinket.

Putting his glasses back on he smirked at the indifference directed at him. Things had been getting a bit dull lately and he was sure this would liven things up. Grabbing the babybones he teleported to the Antivoid, ready to show off his new find.

"ERROR! Look at the little rad dude I found. He even has wings!"

" Leave me alone, parasite. Go bother the squid "

Karma glared at Fresh when he was dropped with no warning. He watched in indifference as Fresh annoyed what looked like the Destroyer. Letting them do their thing he searched for something more interesting. The pure white was strangely soothing and he felt his senses calm the longer he was here. It looked like this was the Antivoid, that his Error often lived in. He had never been allowed to visit for some reason but here it was free reign to roam.

He was startled when SOULS started pulsing near him, as if in greeting. He saw no one else around but when he looked up his wings rose in interest.

There were so many SOULS and all of them were Red. It had been a while since he had eaten one and he was very tempted to grab one. Seeing the strings wrapped around them he realised they were already claimed. What did Error even do with them? Seemed like a lot of effort and wasted magic to keep them here. He looked away from the tantalising sight, trying to see further into the white space.

He was bored of waiting, so walked away from the talking. This place was strange as it took no time before he heard nothing at all. He noticed only his breathing and there was nothing else visible. He remembered reading humans being driven insane, by being kept in white rooms with no stimulus. It was a good thing he was a monster and not fully sane to begin with.

The walk was calming and his hunger gradually faded away. He felt as if his body was floating in this space and looked forward to sleeping here. The only other magic he felt was from Dreams feather, but even that seemed to be draining. He thought it could last for as long as the other wanted, but maybe the Antivoid does something?

It seems his peace wasn't meant to be, as he heard glitching sounds nearby. Had he been found so soon? He walked closer and realised this wasn't Error but a smaller black boned monster. They were crying while curled up on the floor. They didn't look injured but who knew what was hidden under their clothes.

"You ok?"

He wasn't expecting the other to leap up and get in a defensive position. The other reminded him of a Swap sans. The stars on their skull were cute, making him wish to have some. He was still being stared at and he worried the other didn't hear him. He should probably try signing to make sure they understood.

His sympathy for the other died a fiery death, when he was roughly grabbed and taken through another portal. He was going to hurt the next monster who didn't respect his boundaries. Before he could lash out the change of surroundings startled him.

Everything looked strange with all the colours being present. Compared to the Antivoid it was over stimulating, making him hide his face in the other monster. If he was getting taken again he was doing it in comfort. The touch was slightly burning but that wasn't unusual for him.

The voices suddenly surrounding him were unusually loud and he couldn't stifle a whimper. Something soft was thrown around him, muffling and darkening the surroundings further. Why was he so out of it? What did this monster do to him?

Magic washed over him and he shivered....... Did someone just CHECK him? He was tempted to show his displeasure, when the monster holding him fed him magic. He would accept the offering, but they were on thin ice. It ended too quickly for his liking and he was given away to another being.

....whose SOUL was this? He had seen and felt too many to count, but this one was new. It was powerful and belonged to a balancer, which was clear. The thread thin connection to his role was even there. He would have looked up but it seemed he was being held too tight. It looked like he would keep his promise sooner than he thought.
