Chapter 153- (*^&$@ Multiverse)

Karma doubts things could get any worse but the someone is more then happy to prove them wrong

*^&$@ multiverse

Karma sat on the couch and blankly watched the tv, the Bittie on his lap as he was alone for once, giving him time to just think. He didnt like how many old memories were being dredged back up again and kind of missed when it was just him and Ink.

Dream and Blue were way overprotective, grateful that at least Ink 'kidnapped' him every so often so they could have a break from it all.

..he would prefer the numbers in his vision would go away though, feeling it had only grown worse as time went by it felt like 404 was haunting him, wanting to cry but also feeling oddly happy. He didnt like the conflicting emotions one bit.

He gently rubbed Blots back, who was gazing at the tv in utter wonder and joy, smiling at the purr they let out and glad that at least one of them was having fun.

"..Karma?"

He hummed in question to Sunnys voice, gently petting Azure next and amused when they nearly fell asleep in response. He was so glad his friends were here with him, going back to petting Blot when they made grabby hands for his hand.

"Why haven't you told anyone your real name since we've been here?"

His hands stilled, the start of his good mood souring when reality slapped him in the face again.

"I am a Goth, Sunny. That is my type and original name, just as you are a Dream. I thought it wiser to be careful while we are here"

His words were light, spoken without a hint of hesitation or change of expression he had gotten better at lying but a part of him mourned it was even necessary in the first place.

"Oh, that makes sense"

Oh how he wanted to tell them of how his role was choking him, feeling a gaze always on his back but he didnt want to worry them, scared what might happen to them if he told the truth.

-

Time seemed to go slowly even if Karma knew otherwise. He began noticing he was kept in the Doodle Sphere more often and that the time distortion for this place had been increased further.

It became truly apparent with how Blue massively changed between visits, their magic visibly having growing stronger and looking far more comfortable around Ink and Dream.

He listened to Sunnys words of caution and what emotions those around him felt but currently didnt feel it was necessary, his own magic having deemed the Star Sans as 'neutral'. He wouldn't say he was fully safe, as being stuck in the multiverse that seemed to be trying to permanently bind him meant he was in constant danger but he had no clue how to fix it.

One thing he knew was that time was running out, his role becoming like a noose around his neck, knowing something bad was going to happen soon. He worriedly looked down at his friends, the pin on his scarf flashing only making him want to cry.

He felt like he was being mocked and the heavy presence in the air made it worse.

In a fit of rage he threw it across the room, collapsing onto the ground and covering himself with his wings.

...he wanted to go home he didnt want to be here anymore.

UnderFell

"Are you sure this is a good idea, Ink?"

Dream was unsure about this, watching Blue showed off some flowers to the babybones, keeping his guard up in case of an attack. His brother had gotten more vicious lately and had even managed to recruit people to their destruction, shivering when he remembered the rumour of the Destroyer making an alliance with Nightmare.

He tried his best to avoid the Destroyer, having watched from afar as Ink battled them and was horrified at the power levels of the two gods. He wasnt even the same level as them, truly worried if Blue ever managed to meet Error. They were only mortal and while they were doing well in battles against the 'Bad Sans' he didnt want to test them against actual immortals.

"Of course! They have been cooped up and are getting sad. You need to change up the environment or they will keep plucking their wings"

He frowned in worry, not having realised Goth was still doing that habit and could see that perhaps Ink had a point.

"It's just been too dangerous lately but I could see how letting them out in a controlled environment might-wait. Did you get that advice out of a bird book?!"

He looked on in disbelief at the book Ink was holding up, their unrepentant look making him seriously fight the urge to just strangle them.

"What else was I supposed to do?! The babybones books were useless as were the ones on other monster children. Even the one for grown adults was a bust!..and very confusing to read"

That was said so very sincerely and learning how much effort and thought Ink had actually put into this made him speechless. The fact it was also clearly working made him sigh in defeat

"Fine..i can see your point. Im just worried if Nightmare will attack soon. They have been much more vicious lately"

"You need to relax, Dream. Everything will be fine! Just you wait and see"

-

Dream was going to dust Ink when he next saw them!

Cursing he ducked under a bone attack and summoned his bow, pinning Killer to the ground but having to jump back when e black tentacle smashed the ground where he had been.

He teleported to Blues side and pulled them down before Horror could dust them, kicking the giant monster away and jumping back in the fight. His eyelights shrunk when he saw the blue string around his arm, paling when he saw the Destroyer across from him smiling maniacally, staggering back when Ink destroyed the magic binding him before they lunged back towards Error.

"Error! Leave my creations alone!"

"Try taking better care of them then!"

He didnt have time to gawk before he had to duck another knife, eyes darting as he tried to locate Goth. Things had happened so fast that he had lost sight of them earlier, lashing out when he felt Dust try and sneak up behind him.

"You are a tad slow, ink blot. Are you getting feeble in your old age?"

"Shut up!"

He was honestly starting to worry the longer time went by and there was no sign of Goth, gasping when tentacles constricted around him and just managing to jam his weapon in a weak spot to get free.

"Can you even man-WHAT IS THAT?! THAT BETTER NOT BE WHAT I THINK IT IS!"

"Goth!"

His SOUL raced when he finally spotted the babybones, seeing they were in Nightmares hold. He gasped when the familiar dark pressure of Ink magic came out, not having time to even think of a plan before he was forced onto his knees by the pressure.

He tried to stand up but the pressure only seemed to get worse, screaming when he saw what was about to happen.

"𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕥𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕙𝕥 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕔𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕖𝕤𝕔𝕒𝕡𝕖 𝕤𝕠 𝕖𝕒𝕤𝕚𝕝𝕪?"

Karma was tired, so very tired.

"𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕜𝕟𝕠𝕨 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥𝕤 𝕟𝕠𝕥 𝕙𝕠𝕨 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕘𝕒𝕞𝕖 𝕘𝕠𝕖𝕤. 𝕎𝕖 𝕕𝕠𝕟𝕥 𝕨𝕒𝕟𝕥 𝕚𝕥 𝕥𝕠 𝕖𝕟𝕕 𝕥𝕠𝕠 𝕢𝕦𝕚𝕔𝕜𝕝𝕪 𝕕𝕠 𝕨𝕖 𝕟𝕠𝕨?~"

The world around him was frozen, the distortion increasing as he saw cracks appear in the AU.

"𝕀 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕜 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕘𝕠𝕥 𝕗𝕒𝕣 𝕥𝕠𝕠 𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕗𝕠𝕣𝕥𝕒𝕓𝕝𝕖 𝕝𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕝𝕪, %^£$&@&*. 𝕆𝕙, 𝕚𝕞 𝕤𝕠𝕣𝕣𝕪. 𝕋𝕙𝕒𝕥𝕤 𝕟𝕠 𝕝𝕠𝕟𝕘𝕖𝕣 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕟𝕒𝕞𝕖 𝕚𝕤 𝕚𝕥, 𝕂𝕒𝕣𝕞𝕒~"

His wings drooped when he saw how everyone was in the same state, even the Bitties not making a sound, as if everything had been put on pause.

"𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕤𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕙𝕒𝕧𝕖 𝕟𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕝𝕖𝕗𝕥 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕘𝕒𝕞𝕖 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕤𝕠 𝕝𝕠𝕟𝕘. 𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕜𝕟𝕠𝕨 𝕙𝕠𝕨 𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕣𝕪 𝕀 𝕔𝕒𝕟 𝕘𝕖𝕥 𝕚𝕗 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕕𝕠𝕟'𝕥 𝕡𝕝𝕒𝕪 𝕒𝕝𝕠𝕟𝕘. 𝕀 𝕨𝕠𝕟'𝕥 𝕓𝕝𝕒𝕞𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝕥𝕚𝕞𝕖 𝕒𝕤 𝕚𝕥𝕤 𝕤𝕖𝕖𝕞𝕤 𝕥𝕙𝕖 ℂ𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕥𝕠𝕣 𝕘𝕠𝕥 𝕒 𝕓𝕚𝕥 𝕥𝕠𝕠 𝕔𝕒𝕣𝕖𝕝𝕖𝕤𝕤"

His eyelight dimmed when he looked forward, unsurprised that he would have been hit by an attack by Ink if she hadn't paused everything. He was sure he would have survived but doubted Nightmare would have, still in their tentacles even in this state.

The way his role squeezed would have shown he would have soon joined them, hating that he had been dragged back here.

"𝕎𝕙𝕪 𝕤𝕦𝕔𝕙 𝕒 𝕝𝕠𝕠𝕜? 𝕀 𝕥𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕙𝕥 𝕪𝕠𝕦'𝕕 𝕖𝕟𝕛𝕠𝕪 𝕘𝕠𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕕𝕠𝕨𝕟 𝕞𝕖𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕪 𝕝𝕒𝕟𝕖? 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕡𝕒𝕤𝕥 𝕔𝕒𝕟 𝕓𝕖 𝕤𝕠 𝕖𝕩𝕔𝕚𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕥𝕠 𝕣𝕖𝕝𝕚𝕧𝕖. 𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕤𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕓𝕖 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕜𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕞𝕖!"

He should have known not to let his guard down, choking down a sob when he felt her presence, flinching when he felt a deceptively soft touch to his face.

Had everything been pointless?

Should he have just given in?

"ℕ𝕠𝕨 𝕟𝕠𝕨, 𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕚𝕤 𝕟𝕠 𝕟𝕖𝕖𝕕 𝕥𝕠 𝕒𝕔𝕥 𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥. 𝕎𝕖 𝕕𝕠𝕟'𝕥 𝕨𝕒𝕟𝕥 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕘𝕒𝕞𝕖 𝕥𝕠 𝕖𝕟𝕕 𝕥𝕠𝕠 𝕤𝕠𝕠𝕟, 𝕕𝕠 𝕨𝕖, 𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕥𝕝𝕖 𝕂𝕒𝕣𝕞𝕒? 𝕀 𝕥𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕙𝕥 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕨𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕝𝕠𝕧𝕖 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕤! 𝕊𝕙𝕒𝕝𝕝 𝕨𝕖 𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕣𝕥 𝕒 𝕟𝕖𝕨 𝕘𝕒𝕞𝕖?~"
