Chapter 14- (Second Multiverse)

SwapDream comes to visit and no one is happy

Waking up it almost felt like he was back home. Ink presence was calming and he let out a purr at being fed magic. Opening his socket she realised his mistake, when he saw the white dots staring at him. Memories flashed back at last night's events and he held back a grimace. Ink might have stated he cared but he remembered no mention of anyone else's thoughts.

It was nice to imagine but he knew Ink alone wouldn't be able to be his support. He hardly knew this monster and asking further questions was still dangerous. Being open with others was a foreign feeling as he didn't want to give strangers 'weapons', better able to strike him deep. He may want rest but his mind was his only true escape. He would have to bury his true self further to stay safe. His SOUL gave a twinge at his thoughts but it was ignored. Having his entire being easy to locate would have been terrifying, if he didnt know it was also the easiest way for him to finally leave .

"You are awake and fed".

Inks voice was bland and he was unsure what the other wanted. Nodding he stretched out his body, refusing to move off the other.

"I need paint to help more".

He pushed his face in the other's neck and puffed his wings, to show his displeasure. Logically he knew the other required paints but it was another matter seeing it in person. Sitting up on Inks chest he glanced at the vials speculatively. Would they work on him? The white looked the most tempting. Just drifting through this life till he could leave. His fingers twitched in want but he would not do that to Ink. Who knew how long it took to restock paints. There had to be other ways to get what he wanted.

Looking at all the colours he was unsure what the other needed exactly. He grabbed Inks hand and placed it on the vials, slowly passing each one. This proved effective as the yellow one was clutched and brought to the Creator's mouth.

Watching symbols form in their eyes was mesmerising. Ink seemed more alert as he sipped from his other colours. It brightened his features as more paint was ingested, till they looked like their usual self.

Ink was pleased his plan had worked so well. He might have forgotten to say a few things but he was sure that was fine. He grinned at Karma, who was still perched on him. The other was so cute! They looked much liverier than yesterday, which he approved of. His eyelights quickly switched to exclamation marks, while staring at the others' wings.

"You're a bird!".

The confused look made him coo but his plan was set. He had been meaning to do this for a while but Dream kept discouraging him. Remembering yesterday's failure he was sure this trip would please Karma. He opened a inky portal beneath them, dropping into a grassy meadow.

He eagerly watched as Karma perked up at the surroundings and saw their wings twitch with the breeze. They got off him, head twisting around as if afraid to miss any new detail. The buzzing of his phone was getting annoying, so he opened it and grimaced at the message. It seemed it was here. Not many understood his persistent dislike but that first meeting was enough to cement his opinion. Looking at Karma he hesitated in taking them away, from something they finally looked like they wanted to do.

"Ka-Goth. You can fly if you want. I'll be right back. I can stay if you want, you just need to say".

Using their real name was the right call as he saw them stutter in shock. They seemed to contemplate what to say, before they confirmed they would be fine by themselves. He was wary to take them at their word but didn't want to smother them. Dream seemed to be doing that enough for the both of them. With one last glance he teleported away, hoping to get rid of it as soon as possible

He loved coming to this multivere. All the fun he could have and getting to see his cute little darling. They were so shy pretending they didn't like him but he would persevere. That cuteness was hard to resist~.

He grinned at the shouting from nearby while running away. He opened a portal to another AU, in order to prolong the 'game'. He liked visiting his variant and enjoyed the reactions he received when he flared his aura. Looking around he was pleased at seeing no one nearby. He stretched his wings in the open field and flew up in the sky, enjoying the breeze and clear sky. This multiverse was useful for a bit of fun, without his brother finding him too soon. It always took awhile before he was usually caught, so he enjoyed the free time before it was inevitably over.

His eyes picked up a dark spot to his left, that was too large to be any ordinary bird. His lips quirked at the idea of catching whoever it was. Flying higher he glided closer and admired the rainbow sheen on the others dark wings. The pure white outfit with their tiny frame was so cute~.

They matched perfectly with his red and yellow clothes, it felt like a sign. The joy flowing off them was addicting and while not wanting to interrupt it, he couldn't help but want to see their reaction.

He folded in his wings, stretched his arms out and quickly grabbed them. The screech in shock made him laugh but he was interested in their lack of struggle. They even moved their arms around his neck, as if to get a firmer hold. The ground was coming fast so he spread his wings out to catch them. Landing on the ground he finally admired his catch.

It seems he caught a mini death bird. How interesting~.

"Whats your name, little crow? Far out from the flock aren't you?~"

He had seen the stripes but the magic was especially telling. He kept his grip firm, not willing to risk the new mystery running away.

"Goth but I'm called Karma here".

Another multiverse traveller! His smirk widened but he sensed something odd. Tilting his head to the side he focused his magic on the other and was shocked at the deep negativity hiding inside. He could only compare it to his brother, but the other had eaten an apple. He sensed no apple in the babybones, so what made this one different?

He flared his aura to crush those feelings but nothing happened. The little crow must have noticed, as they looked at him in disdain and even flared their wings at him. How amusing! They almost looked like their beloved. He wondered how their chosen partner would feel about a child. The looks and the wings were a wonderful blend of them both and he liked the resilience shown.

As his interest peaked, so did his worry at the details he noticed. Their feathers for one, were not as numerous as they should be. Using one arm to hold the other he tried to touch a wing but his hand was smacked away. He did not sense any anger or fear behind the action; it just seemed the other didn't want him to touch. Grabbing the flailing arm he brought it closer and his smirk fell at the tiny cracks littering the bones. It seems someone was failing at looking after his latest obsession, which would not do at all. Before he could do much more a shout alerted him his time was up.

"GET AWAY FROM THEM! I told you to stay away, Oneiro!"

His smirk reappeared as he turned towards the Creator. Playing with the other was harder, due to the lack of SOUL, but the rewards were worth it. Nothing beat their first meeting but sadly the other was harder to catch off guard nowadays.

He much preferred hearing his real name but he was taking a shine to his assigned one.

"No need to worry, Creator. I was just having a chat. Better keep them close, who knows who could snatch them up~".

Riling the other up was great but he had no interest in a fight. He let the babybones down, watching as they observed him with suspicion. What a smart little bird~.

He couldn't wait to play again. He saw Ink relaxing and that would not do at all. He crouched down to surround the little one in his wings. He made sure to soak them in his magic, before jumping back at the attack to his skull.

"Naughty Creator. That could have hurt me~".

Ink never should have left Karam alone. It had managed to go where he didn't want them. They had been spotted on the other side of the multiverse, so he was bewildered how they ended up here so quickly. He looked over at Karma and was relieved at seeing no damage. They only looked slightly ruffled but that would be explained by the flying. He hoped it didn't come back. He had worked with Error to make it harder to enter their multiverse but not nearly enough it seems.

He picked up Karma heading straight home and stressed out of his mind. It was supposed to be a nice excursion without having a mad man appear. His instincts were now screaming at him to hide his young. He enjoyed the comfort of the bond but cursed the side effects of a newly made one. He was glad his Dream never turned out like that! He was never visiting that multiverse. It must be insane to have that thing there.

He might have gone overboard with kicking everyone out of the house and setting up traps but he wasn't taking any chances. It was one of the few cases where even Nightmare agreed it might not even be enough for his personal stalker.
