Karma is having so much fun playing with Pale and X!
Pale is very amused, while X wants to cry at the craziness he has been thrown into.

WingVerse Multiverse

Pale examined the new surroundings once he exited the portal, quickly moving out the way so the other two could come through. That so-called 'Curse' multiverse had been mildly interesting but the Balancers had been rather strange, acting so jumpy whenever he went near them.

He idly wondered what eating their Code would be like, never having been in a place like that before. Annoyingly before he could try, Oneiro had nudged him into a portal and it was only Karmas excited look that prevented him from going back to sample a few of the AU's.

He suddenly grimaced as a tingling sensation came over him, twitching but ultimately letting the Code of the multiverse affect him, despite the strong urge to just eat the magic.

He winced as his new appendages suddenly appeared, taking a moment to catch his balance. Blankly examining his new wings he carefully folded them behind him, truly having little opinion about them, only accepting this temporary change as Oneiro suggested Karma would enjoy it.

He watched in amusement as X fell onto the ground face first, when they came through the portal, their new wings clearly unbalancing them. He tried to remember if any of them had warned the monster of what was going to happen but no memory popped up, not truly caring either way.

He had only accepted the new addition, as Karma recognised them and Oneiro said there were plenty of restrictions on them, so they were unable to cause any harm to the babybones. He was even told he could just dust them if he wanted but would need to find someone else to be with them if he did, considering what happened last time he left Karma alone.

Pale had never been so annoyed by his soulless state then right now, as having to eat AU's often really took time away from his child. He would still be watching the new monster carefully though and if he needed to, he knew he could just grab Template in a true emergency. They were always up for 'adventures'.

He smiled as Karma came through, still a tad shocked at the new changes to his child's wings, feeling like they changed every time he saw them. He did enjoy the subtle rainbow and gold that practically lined every single one of his child's feathers, thinking it truly suited them.

Template had been annoyingly loud, when he showed him the pictures he received from Oneiro but he had still readily agreed with their comments. His child truly was perfect no matter the look.

Karma chirped in surprise at suddenly seeing Pale have wings, carefully tugging the closest one towards him, to look at their feathers closer. Their wings were mainly pure white with random splashes of colour, that he guessed was corresponding to an emotion they had eaten.

He smiled as they stretched them out, still jealous of how much larger other monsters' wings were compared to his own, even if it made sense. He was a child and he was just thankful he wasn't stuck with baby fluff feathers for life and had actual feathers, as it would be impossible to fly otherwise.

"...What the FUNK was that?"

Karma giggled at X, going over to their downed form while looking at their new wings, which were mainly blue and red. An odd mix to be sure but it strangely suited them, as it matched their red and blue eyelights.

X shakily stood up, instinctively spreading out his new wings to help balance, praying this wasn't another permanent change he would have to live with. The Code changes he had been forced to endure so far were bad enough and he was suddenly doubting that weird Dreams Oneiro/SwapDream words, that he had nothing to worry about .

He suspiciously hadn't seen his 'Master' in a while either and being told by Oneiro 'Its all fine' and 'How do you feel about a new job?'', should have been a massive red flag.

He barely had any time to get used to the last place he was dragged to, shivering in remembrance at all those weird monsters who had been deeply fascinated, that he could be near them without issue. His Code changes seemed more like a curse as time went on, praying that this place wouldn't be as stressful but just going by his new 'wings' he wasn't holding up much hope.

He really was an idiot like Chara used to accuse him of but having a small hand tapping his face, looking at him in worry just seemed to make it worth it.

He had very little left in his multiverse after XGasters stupid war, even when they mysteriously disappeared straight after. He felt out of place there and he had the sneaking suspicion his home no longer existed but had been rather hesitant to ask the creepy high LOVE Dream.

He had learned his lesson while dealing with 'The Devil' and his survival instincts had heavily kicked in, making him shut his mouth to prevent himself asking any stupid questions, to the creepy Dreams clear amusement.

He smiled as the Karma chirped at him in question, patting their skull in comfort. He might despise having his Code changed but it was making his life easier right now as he was soon able to stand up with little issue, folding his wings smoothly behind his back.

"I'm fine, Karma. It was just unexpected"

That was a light way to put it and he shivered when the Ink look alike Pale/Destroyer stood far too close to him, feeling rather nervous despite knowing this wasn't his Ink.

"Do you like our wings, my child? In a few days we should be able to fly with you"

...days? Was this monster insane?!

X was just getting used to having wings and no matter how much his modified Code insisted he would be fine, he still didn't enjoy the thought of going high up in the air on new appendages. Did this monster have no fear?! Pale:Soulless/Currently has a mix of emotions.

"Really?!"

He stared at the babybones sudden star shaped eyelight, watching as their wings flapped in excitement at Pales words, their hopeful gaze settling on both of them and felt his resolve waver.

...On the other hand, he knew sometimes the best way to learn, was to do. He was sure he could fly fine . He had learnt many unusual things under XGaster, how hard could flying be?

Undertale AU23

X was going to have a SOUL attack any second now and he let out a whimper when he saw Karma dive close to the ground..again. Why had he agreed to go flying? More importantly, why had Pale agreed to this?! Weren't they one of Karmas parents?

"Look what i can do, X!"

His eyelights grew larger and he paled, as he saw them suddenly fold their wings in, dropping towrads the ground like a rock. He flapped his wings and pushed off the ground, snatching the babybones before they smashed into the ground, wobbly floating in the air while holding them tight.

"Why did you catch me? I was about to do a cool trick."

"Im s-sure you were but I just wanted to..fly with you..?"

X felt like an idiot at the terrible lie, not wanting to upset the child with his worry. He couldn't even take it back, as he saw them light up in excitement at the idea of him joining them. He had been reluctant to fly, for very good reason but now it seemed he was stuck doing it.

He reluctantly let them go, sighing when they shot off straight into the sky and tried to fly after them.

Flap Wings and turn right

He was trying his best to fly smoothly, wanting to feel proud of his quick progress but felt rather inadequate compared to the speedy babybones, twitching when he saw Pale smoothly fly past him, acting as if they had been born with wings.

..he also wasn't impressed with the 'instructions' he was getting from his Code, feeling it was rather useless.

It really felt like it was spending more time mocking him then actually helping him. He winced when he nearly crashed into a tree, only avoiding it at the last minute but it did scuff the edge of his right wing.

It was definitely mocking him. His new 'master' truly was worse than The Devil..

"Oo. What's that?..I'm going to pet it!"

X felt a cold sweat at that statement from the babybones, even his Code spiking in alarm at the words. He was already diving towards the babybones before he realised it and dragging them away from the 'animal'.

Whatever it was, it was not friendly, having to distract the squirming babybones in his arms while Pale permanently dealt with the issue.

"You did great at flying, X. We should do this again soon!"

X barely managed to choke back hysterical laughter, merely holding the babybones closer in response.

He twitched as Pale suddenly leaned over him to check over Karma, feeling extremely awkward at being this close to them, especially after having been warned of the consequences of doing anything that might upset Karma.

If he wasn't so scared of them he would be offended at the unneeded warning but he had dealt with far too many dangerous monsters, not to mention his Code 'leash', to even dare to say a thing.

"Your feathers are a tad messy, my child. How would you feel about a preening session? You can even play with mine, if you wish?"

X shivered at their almost monotone voice, unsure how the babybones basked in the attention.

"Yeah!..where can we do that though?"

It was a valid question, as the AU they were in was rather bare and not the best for relaxing in. He had overheard Pale tell Karma that it was devoid of other monsters and buildings, trying to ignore the specks of dust that covered their outfit and the way his Code 'helpfully' told him what had actually happened.

He sometimes really missed being in the dark. He never understood the saying that 'ignorance was bliss' until after dealing with The Devil.

"I already have something prepared for us. Will your familiar be joining us?"

"Nope! They are having fun hunting"

X was alarmed, when Karmas sockets briefly flashed a ghostly pale colour with white error symbols, only his Code alerting him this was normal Connection with familiar Nix kept him from summoning his magic, in order to get rid of a potential threat.

He had seen the 'familiar' a few times, finding their stare alone terrifying. He was convinced the animal was threatening him but Karma insisted they were just playing around.

The way they groomed their paw while flashing their claws whenever he happened to be watching, did not feel like a coincidence to him. It didn't help that he saw Pale smile each time it happened, not even trying to hide their sadistic amusement at his panic.

X had readily followed Pale into the portal, holding the wiggling babybones tightly as he did so. He knew they wanted to preen but he had also seen the way they were staring intently at the sky, not wanting to have to catch them again so soon. His SOUL was far too fragile to take more stress.

He was far too rattled from flying to care that he was in the oppressive white again, Karma antics easily managing to suppress the usual panic he felt when in this sort of environment.

He spotted a pile of cushions nearby, wondering just how long Pale had planned this for but thought it would be pointless to ask, as the other monster barely seemed to tolerate him.

Pale: Will eliminate you if you are a threat to Karma

..he really didn't need his Code to realise that fact and instead focused on placing Karma down on the cushions, smiling as he saw them eagerly reaching for Pales feathers.

"They are so soft!"

"I'm glad you like them...X? Why don't you sit down as well? I'm sure you would enjoy a preening session as well."

Pale softly spoke and was glad X didn't miss the clear threat in his tone.

The main reason they had come to the multiverse was so Karma could indulge in these instincts more, Pale enjoying watching his child light up at getting to share in an activity he usually couldn't partake in.

He would consider coming to this type of multiverse again in the future, his magic sparking in content at his child's emotions.

Karma chirped with glee as he had even more feathers to look at, giggling as Pale started to preen his smaller wings, stretching them out so they could reach his feathers easier. He hummed a happy tune as he preened Pales wings, not having to do much as they were very neat.

When he was done, he looked over at X wings which were the exact opposite with many feathers sticking out weirdly, giving them a rather amusing look. They had such a cool mix of red and blue feathers though, idly wondering how the multiverse decided on what wing colours a visitor would get.

At least this place was far less traumatising then the Human DreamSwap at least, still getting shivers at recalling being a human for months.

"Can I touch your feathers, X?"

X was already nodding, their wide eyed innocent look hardly needed...he could have done without the dark glare from Pale though, discreetly sighing as he moved his wings so the child could reach them easier.

His wings were quite large and he didn't mention he already knew how to preen them thanks to the Devils Code changes, just enjoying listening to Karma happily babble on the steps to grooming.

There might be plenty of negatives of being here and his new life.

Karma: Status: Happy/Good Health

... But he was rather enjoying this part. His wings instinctively curling tighter around the tiny child, letting out a rare purr as he basked in the childish joy they were exuding. He didn't have any set role in his life anymore but he could get used to this.

"Your wings are so pretty, X!"

Oneiro: *Pausing as he has a sudden thought* Did i ever tell X what would happen when they stepped through the portal?~

Also Oneiro: *Completely disregarding it a second later* Oh well, im sure it will all be fine~

Karma: *Excited at the new place* Wow, this place looks fun

Pale: *Pleased at how happy Karma is, blanking X entirely* We can go wherever you want, my child

X: *Still struggling to stand up with his new wings* Where the FUNK are we?! What is happening?!
