Forced Gods Multiverse

Playing with Colour and Mono was great!...even if he now had a slither of doubt of their true intentions but even now he was still worried about them. He just couldn't cut them off, like his dad was suggesting, much to their visible disappointment. He knew he could come across as naive but he didn't want to just shut everyone out in fear like he did...had he ever done that before?

Shaking that thought off he looked over at his friends, hoping they would soon share their worries. Whenever he tried asking what was wrong, they insisted it was nothing.

..Was he just reading them wrong?

-

It was another day waiting for Mono to come and get him, from where Colour dropped him off. It was rather earlier than usual but with the dark circles under his friends' sockets he stayed silent, wishing they would tell him the truth of what was bothering them.

He was currently sitting on the ground, playing with the stone his dad recently got him. Holding it to the light he smiled at how it sparkled, wondering if his dad would get him more if he asked.

"That's a nice stone you have there. Where did you get it?"

He looked up at the monster he had sensed a while ago, chirping in surprise at their wings. He stood up and got closer to their floating form, spreading his wings to see if it matched theirs. He pouted when he realised how much smaller his were but still admired theirs.

"My dad! I like your wings!"

"Your wings are even prettier. Much nicer than my pure black ones"

He blushed at the compliment, hiding his face in his scarf before looking over them in curiosity. He had never met a monster like them before and their magic felt very similar to his own....His fingers twitched when he saw their feathers, really wanting to touch them. He chirped as they lowered their wings to his reach, gently touching the black feathers, cooing at how soft they were.

He whined when they pulled back, their blank sockets looking at him strangely.

"Sorry kid. I have to go. Nice meeting you"

He waved goodbye, looking forward to telling his dad all about this later. He rarely met other winged monsters, so this was exciting!

When the day ended he informed his dad, who was smiling wider than they had ever before. They praised him, saying they were so very proud of him. He had been very confused but happily enjoyed the cuddles, thinking this was just another weird adult thing.

-

" Stay still! This won't hurt a bit, Colour "

"I know you are lying, Mono! Stay away"

"Dream! Get out of my way"

"I will not let you destroy the AU brother!"

Karma intently watched the fight, taking in everything he could. He had not seen both sides fight often and had been rather shocked when one day Mono had suddenly attacked Colour, but thanks to visiting that weird String multiverse he could see the issue much clearer than before.

He still had no clue what all the colours meant, as Star was less than helpful on that front but he had a general idea at least. His own were still odd to look at and he was kind of confused why some pulsed weirdly, regretting not having asked for more information before.

While it wasn't a golden String attached to his friends, like the one he had cut before, it still had the same feel. Something powerful was controlling his friends but with seemingly no consistent schedule.

There could be days between these fights and he frowned when Monos String suddenly grew brighter, with them nearly beheading Colour in their next attack. He could see Dreams about to brighten and winced, when a positivity arrow dug into one of Nightmares tentacles.

He did briefly see one String on that black winged monster yesterday but it was rather faint at the time, so he thought it would unravel by itself in time. Not to mention, he was still hesitant to do anything. While he may have cut one String before it had taken a lot out of him. There were FOUR Strings here and he was worried if he had enough magic to even do it.

..although his dad had been feeding him a steady supply of SOULS for some reason, so maybe he would be ok?

He stood up when he saw the battle looked close to ending, preparing to summon his weapon. The fights always ended the same way, with both sides suddenly stopping and looking like they were dolls with their strings cut. There were some mortals down there as well but that shouldn't be an issue, as he would just be using his scythe for this.

He started to get closer to the fight, making sure to be as inconspicuous as possible but suddenly paused, feeling a sense of dread wash over him. Even his magic was trying to warn him but he was clueless at what the problem was and looking at the fight he knew he wouldn't get a chance as good as this again to act.

He straightened up and felt DETERMINED to succeed. He lifted up his scythe and with no hesitation he struck, pushing all his magic into the weapon. He smiled as he felt the Strings snap but fear soon replaced it as he saw his weapon shatter. He had little time to take this in before pain swept through him, making him scream in agony.

He barely felt when he was lifted up, holding tight on whoever was holding him, sobbing in pain.

He just wanted it to stop.

Ḁ̷͈͛n̶̜̻̳̑̎̕t̶͓̋̽ȉ̴̭͎͉V̵̧̮̫͝o̶̲̱̓̈́̕ǐ̴̭̬͜d̸̡̘̆̌̐

Time seemed meaningless as he tried to breath through the pain, whimpering whenever he was jolted. Why did it hurt so much? This had never happened to him before. Was his SOUL breaking? Everything was just too much...

"-hear me now? You need to breathe. Karma? You need to pull in your magic!..Please~"

..was that dad? They sounded weird. He opened his sockets, whining at the effort it took, weakly chirping.

"..h-rts"

He whined louder when dad suddenly held him tighter, displeased when they started to shake, his body protesting the pressure.

"I-I'm sorry. It's o-ok. Dont worry, i will m-make it all better~"

He tried to hiss when they pulled back, not wanting to be put down but shivered in distress when something cool was put around his neck. He shuddered at the temperature change, trying to push the item away, whimpering when dad easily held him off.

"I-I know little raven. I'm sorry. Please don't f-fight me"

It took him far too long to realise that the cool touch was helping and he finally relented, going limp in his dad's hold. He focused on breathing, everything else far too hard to consider.

The white of his surroundings was calming, helping to distract him from the pain. He didn't regret what he did but he wished it hadn't hurt so much. He was never doing that again...

"..Feel better now?~"

He merely yawned in response, trying to block out the white by nuzzling into dads neck.

"...sleep now, my child~"

-

Karma slept, preferring the comforting darkness to the real world. Whenever he felt consciousness return he pushed back, fearing the pain. He was more than happy to stay like this but it seemed that someone did not agree.

"Wake up, sleepy head~"

Who was that? Why would he need to wake up? The darkness was safe. No way for him to be hurt here.

"Little raven. Won't you wake up?~"

He grumbled when something stroked his face, trying to move away from the touch to no avail. He huffed as he felt his body be moved but cooed as he was laid on something soft. This was much better.

"..Karma?~"

He sighed, annoyed that he wasn't allowed to sleep and opened his sockets. He crooned at the pillows he was on, purring when a hand stroked his wings, pleased at some of the itchy feeling disappearing.

"Why hello there. Did you have a nice sleep?~"

Karma hummed, stretching his wings, confused why they felt so stiff. Just how long had he been asleep?..were his friends ok?

"D-d?"

"What is it? Are you still in pain?~"

"Can I see my fri-nds?"

The silence stretched on and he was confused, pushing himself up so he could actually look at his dad, chirping in thanks when he was helped. He was moved to his dads lap, idly playing with their hands. He really liked the colour of their bones, finding the blue tips very pretty but was brought back to the present at his dads continued silence, feeling disappointed.

"..it's fine, dad...where are we going next?"

"We can see them..but not for long! Would that be ok, little raven?~"

He was shocked his dad changed his mind and snapped his skull up to look at them, whining when he got dizzy.

"Careful! You are still recovering. Do you feel ready to do this now?~"

"Yes!"

He had a feeling if they didn't go now they never would.

Forced Gods Multiverse

Karma was grinning as he stepped out of the portal, pleased he had won the argument to walk, even if he had to hold his dads hand for balance. It was still a win!

"Not so fast. They aren't going anywhere~"

Karma's wings fluttered when he spotted Colour and Mono, letting go of dads to get closer, only wobbling a bit. He was nearly there when he paused at realising there was another monster there, he hadn't been expecting.

They looked to be even taller than dad but he did really like their large golden wings. He bet they were soft like the black winged skeleton he met. When he focused on their face he shifted in unease, unsure what the look in their eyelights meant. He took a step back when they got closer, feeling slight guilt as they wilted but he was still wary. He soon backed into his dads legs, turning his back on the stranger to hide in his dads trousers, for some reason a bit fearful to look at them.

He groaned as a headache sprung up, humming in appreciation when dad gently rubbed his skull.

"Karma. Have you met our friend before?"

He shook his head at Colours question, feeling his dad rumble in comfort.

"He is really nice. I bet he will let you touch his wings if you ask?"

..that did sound tempting and he cursed at them for knowing one of his weaknesses. He chirped at his dad in question, still unsure about this.

"The choice is yours, little raven~"

Karma stiffened as he heard a growl from behind him, thankful when the sound soon stopped. This new monster was kind of scary!

"He won't hurt you, he is just very noisy..kind of like Colour"

"Hey!"

" You know I can stop anyone easily. You have seen me fight. " Mono sounded smug, confident in their suggestion, which made Karma decide to look at them. He would trust his friends..but he was still making sure dad came with him!

Grabbing their hand he stuttered at seeing the stranger so close, glad they were at least crouching down. He steadily made his way over them but stopped a foot away from them. He looked them over, deciding they must really like the colour yellow and smiled at spotting their floating circlet.

Maybe they weren't as scary as he thought.

"..I'm Karma. What's your name?"

"It's Oneiro." Karma felt a flash of familiarity at the name before it faded, clutching his dads hand tighter.

"..Oneiro? That's a pretty name"

Karma: *Meagre survival instincts blaring in warning* Hmm, what should i do?

*Does the thing anyway and gets hurt*

Karma:..Huh, how unexpected
-
Oneiro: What have you done to my kid?!~

'Dad': I think you mean 'my' kid
