July 1st
The last day of June, an hour until midnight.
"Okay, Aurelia, I think we should head to bed." Lucas yawned.
"We've got to be prepared." His wife reminded him. "Mr. Gold will be paying us a visit in a month." It was indeed almost a year since their last encounter with the Furati elf. Both Aurelia and Lucas had been doing as much research on his kind, just in case the deal went sour.
"We will be. But that doesn't mean you have to stop caring for your physical health. Sleep is important, especially in your state." Lucas shut his book and put it aside.
"It's not like I can really get any sleep. The baby seems to start kicking whenever I start to doze off." Aurelia grumbled. She was a little over eight months pregnant.
"That doesn't mean you shouldn't try." Lucas was always the logical one. Aurelia shot him a tired glare.
"Look, a lot of the research on these elves comes from Midas and Nathe, where they were native. So why would Mr. Gold come here?" Aurelia wondered, speaking both to herself and Lucas as she stuck her nose further into the book.
"I honestly have no idea." Lucas admitted. He scribbled this bit of information down in his research notebook. "What else did you find."
"Furati aren't natural swimmers. They don't usually live directly by the sea or anything like that, but for some reason they are the natural enemies of mermaids. Doesn't that seem a little strange? And do you remember what that guy, Char, helped us find? If you figure out the elf's true you can escape the deal. The only problem is that we have absolutely no clue Mr. Gold's true name is." Aurelia stated.
Lucas scribbled down every word she said. "Okay these are some interesting points, but you have to get some rest. I think it's time to go to bed."
"Just five more minutes." Aurelia mumbled. Lucas reached over and grabbed her book.
"Lia, let go. It's nearly midnight."
"Lucas, just go to bed without me." Aurelia laughed.
"If you're not going to take care of yourself I am." Lucas told her as they wrestled for the book Aurelia had been holding.
"Oh come on, Luke-" Aurelia's laughter halted. Her eyes went wide as she placed a hand on her stomach.
"What- what's wrong?" Lucas quickly rushed to his feet and put a hand on his wife's shoulder.
Aurelia looked up at him, trying to remain calm. "I think... My water just broke."

The castle doctor was requested immediately. Soon their room was crowded with servants and healers. Lucas was panicking, like expected. He was freaking out more than the woman giving birth.
It wasn't long before their child, their first child was born. At exactly 1:11 AM on July 1st Princess Laceila Hunter entered the world.
But there was more. Aurelia didn't even get to hold her newborn daughter before the king and queen received some shocking news.
"It appears you're having twins." Doctor Rowen Styne told them.
"Twins?" Lucas gasped as if the word was completely alien to him. "We only asked for one."
"Well apparently there's a limited time offer. Have one, get a second one free." Doctor Styne commented.
Two minutes later another child of King Lucas and Queen Aurelia was born.
In Lucas' arms was their daughter and in Aurelia's arms was their son.
"I was thinking," Aurelia began, as she gazed at her now calm son. "I'd like them to grow up to be good people. I want to name them after heroes."
"I think I know exactly what you're thinking." Lucas began. "Arion and Lacey."
"Perfect," Aurelia grinned at her children. She hugged Arion tightly.
She'd never let them go.
