Navi's pov.

5 people.

I've been forced to take the life of 5 people. I've tortured them. Then killed them.

"Navi, my girl, don't look so down. You know I think we make a great team. " I clench my fist as Jacy puts her arm around my shoulder and casually leans against me.

"I'm not a monster like you," I grit out, yet I feel as though I'm wrong.

"Just accept it Navi, it'll make your life much easier." Jacy coos. "Those demons that whisper to you, they are louder aren't they, the trauma you've gone through, has changed you." She looks towards the scattered corpse, the man, she had just made me torture and kill. "Made you more sadistic. I'm just helping it, giving it a little push." She then softly pushes my shoulder.

With a giggle she walks away.

I stare into the lifeless eyes of the dead man. Forever, each of the people I've killed will haunt me.

"Come on Navi." Jacy states as she slides back into view folding her arms across her chest. "What are you waiting for, what are you holding on to, why won't you let the darkness take you, I see it, I see it in you." My features soften.

Darkness? I had darkness in me. I drop my head.

Dark memories I had those but actual darkness? Evil? No.

"No I'm not like you." I say sternly.

Jacy smirks "Aw that's it, hope." Jacy shakes her head. "Tsk, tsk, poor girl still waiting on her happy ending."

A moment goes by.

She looks back at me, "They are gonna get tired Navi, of saving you, of babysitting you. The girl with the heartfelt sob story gets old." Jacy chuckles.

"But the crooked one, always gets the attention, people are around them to enjoy, not to baby sit." I glare at her words. She walks around me in a circle.

She places her hands on my shoulder as her lips get close to my ear. "Navi answer me this. Who do you think would win class favorite, you, or Riley. She is pretty kick ass hug? Not breaking all the time or getting kidnapped, she is the hero everyone loves." Jacy then moves to the other side leaning in towards my other ear. "You're the damsel in distress everyone rolls there eyes at."

My head falls. She was right, this was the second time I had gotten kidnapped in a short period of time. Jacy then moves back infront of me.

"This kingdom already has a band of heroes, why don't you join me, pick a big girl role." I stare at Jacy. Her eyes entice me to give in.

"What does it matter? Even if I say no, you can make me say yes." I whisper. What game was she playing.

"I mean yeah but I figured I'd be nice," Jacy shrugs causing me to tilt my head slightly.

"Follow me, please dear," Jacy states as she walks pass me, with out hesitation I turn and follow her out the door, to another room, another victim, tied and gagged.

"Freeze her blood." I furrow my eyebrows as I look at Jacy confused.

"I can't do that." I whisper.

"Yes you can, freeze her blood, please dear." Automatically my body takes a step to the fearful woman. I put my hand on her arm and concentrate.

The woman takes in a deep breath as she moans in pain.

I let go of her, Jacy walks to the woman and slits her throat. She smirks at me when nothing happens. I look at the open wound, the blood was slush.

I cover my mouth with my hand, bile makes it's way up and I quickly turn and lean over and vomit what little contents I have in my stomach this was the last straw.  I've just frozen someones blood.

"Congrats, you learned a new trick." Jacy strokes my hair approvingly causing me to shudder. She hands me a rag, I take it and wipe my mouth.

"Dear you're doing fine, your breaking, I can see it. You'll accept my offer soon enough, then we can make the world burn together." I swallow harshly at her words. Never. I'll never follow her.

Yet at this point, I don't have a choice.

Annie's pov

We quickly leave the plane and I gasp at the tall slender man before us. Dark red ruby eyes stare into mine. He greets me with a smile, showing his pearly white fangs, his dark hair is pulled up in an elegant bun. Skin is sickly pale like most vampires.

He is dressed in a formal black suit making me feel severely underdressed.

Bain puts his hand out to shake and King London takes a step moving a hand from behind his back and grasp Bains hand giving it a quick shake.

"Let's move quickly." London states as he turns and leads us to multiple black SUVs. Luckily there is enough for all 100 wolves we had brought. The best of the best tracker wolves.
Bain, Daniel, Riley, and London and myself get into the second SUV. A vampire drives us to the castle.

"So I already have vampires out searching, getting Intel on the girl you said Navi had killed. I've been sent papers on the girl that matches your description. She went missing a couple days ago, last seen leaving the campus. So far that's all they know." London explains as he hands Riley the papers, they show a picture of the shewolf.

"That's her," Riley states with one look at the girls picture. "Freshman in college, just moved here, no family, they probably targeted her on purpose."

"That way they have a longer time span before someone starts looking for her." Daniel states as he rubs the back of his neck.

London nods his head in agreement. I couldn't help but stare at him. London, this is the same king that helped Zero escape. One of the most well respected kings of all time. He was atleast 600 years old yet, he only looked a couple years older than Bain.

I tear my gaze from him as we pull into the castle. The castle is the same size and the Alphas castle back home.

We walk in the castle, I look around, the structure is different than back home, the lobby is slightly bigger and has more seating furniture.

"Where is the bathroom?" I ask politely. London smiles at me as he points up some stairs to my left.

"Walk up those stairs, take a left down the hallway four doors down to your right. My second in command is on his way from that way, so he will fetch you on his way. He should only be a couple moments." London explains, I nod my head as I go up the stairs on the left while the rest of them go to the right.

I count the doors and walk in the bathroom. Its nice and pristine clean. I quickly do my business and walk out.

I squeal as I run into someone causing me to fall back. Luckily they catch me before I fall.

Dark maroon colored eyes gaze down into my widened ones. Dusty red lips parted slightly in surprise. High cheek bones, pale skin. His dark chocolate brown hair, pulled up tightly in a formal bun.

I may never find words beautiful enough to describe him.

Sparks start to run in the places he is holding me, letting me know, he is mine.

His eyes widen significantly as he slowly brings me up on my feet. I give him a light smile as I put my hand out awkwardly, "I'm-I'm Annie."

"I can't be with you, sorry." My eyebrows furrow up at his words. I don't even know this man, but just a couple words from him, my heart is already breaking.

I blink back tears, not letting them fall as I shake my head. "What? I-I don't understand?" I question.

He doesn't say anything as he looks around. "Come, the King is waiting." He walks pass me,he seems to float graciously and I turn quickly following behind.

Nothing is said. My question hangs in the air, the silence builds over us. Weighing heavy, yet I seem to be the only one of us to bare the weight.

I realize now why people fear silence.

We get to a wooden door and I nod to myself. Fine, so be it. He opens the door and we walk in seeing London and the others. I smile slightly in amusement at the outfit Riley is wearing, the one Fraiser obviously picked out. Black form fitting latex pants with a various pockets designed specifically for weapons. As well as a black form fitting tshirt, small spikes on the sleeves of the shoulders. It makes Riley look more intimidating than normal.

"What have I missed?" I ask as I avoid looking at the man I don't even know. He is obviously Londons second in command.

"We are splitting off in groups." Riley states as she looks at the map.

"We have a bunch of chunks of forest." Riley states pointing to them. "Daniel is taking a group here, to the east of the island, a big stretch of woods is right at the beach."

She then moves her hand over a small village to another stretch of woods, slightly bigger. "Bain and London will be here with a mix of their men searching." She moves her hand south.

"I'll be here with a group , and you'll be north, you and Jadyn will lead a group." She explains causing the man, that is my mate, eyes to widen slightly.

So his name is Jadyn, interesting.

"Now remember, we are just looking, if you find where Jacy is keeping Navi don't attack. We need a plan, so radio someone and we will all meet back here and get our resources ready and attack together." Riley explains looking at Bain with a pointed look. Bain just smirks at her.

"Ready?" Riley states looking at everyone causing us all to nod. She then gives us little walkie talkies, seeing as not everyone can mind link.

We then all exit the room. We all go to assigned rooms to change. I put on a blue sports bra with  darker blue latex pants. The color makes my red eyes pop. I then pull on the dark brown army boots and quickly walk out of the room.

I spot Jadyn who gives me a once over. His eyes linger on my breast and then move down to my exposed stomach. I resist a smirk at the lust that crosses his eyes. Jadyn is wearing a black tight shirt and dark grey jogging pants.  I walk past him as I go outside.

I follow Jadyn to a small ranger. He climbs in the driver side, about 30 wolves come up to us and nod signaling they are ready, I hop in the passenger side and he takes off.

I never knew how deafening silence could be.
