Affirmation.

A familiar tune cuts into your deep slumber, your features scrunching up at the intrusive sound as you bury your face deeper into your human pillow, judging by his calm breathing - it's safe to say the noise doesn't bother him at all.

"Sabo..." You gather since he had used your phone once as it is, he could answer the call for you since you're much too tired but it would seem that he knew what you were going to ask and already has a reply to it.

"They wouldn't hear my voice as you do." He explains softly whilst still taking your phone from the beside table, though instead of answering it, he simply pokes your hand with the device and urges you to do the troublesome task yourself.

One day I'll be able to sleep without any interruptions.

Your eyes catch the time as you click to answer the cell, drawing a frown to your face as you bring the speaker up against your ear. "Hello?"

It's 7 o-clock in the goddamn morning which just so happens to be far too early for you, something that displeases you greatly and apparently, the voice on the other end of the line can pick up on that.

"Sorry to disturb you so early in the day," The voice politely chimes, admittedly you're on the verge of yelling 'not sorry enough' until the mystery person states their purpose, something that wakes you up instantly. "This is Thatch from Captain Furniture. And you are [F/n], yes?"

"Y-Yeah! Good morning, Thatch!" You don't miss how Sabo tilts his head at that, watching as you sit yourself up in bed, eagerly studying the eldest brother's every word.

"G'morning! I tried to email you the other day but it has come to my attention that you never responded, I could have just written the address down wrong so that could be my own mistake." Of course, you know he's very much not mistaken, you just hadn't had the chance to respond since you were so preoccupied with watching movies yesterday. "I'm just calling to confirm what you'd like and hopefully, we can get them delivered for you today."

Delivered? Today? Does this mean I can finally get him inside my house??

"Should I be worried that you want my brother here so badly~?" Sabo playfully chimes with a somewhat goofy grin etched into his features, the boy even leaning forward a little, seemingly trying to see if he can hear his brother's voice through the phone.

"Shh, Sabo!" You make sure to whisper as you bring the phone away from your face, attempting to go unheard by the older sibling before you respond to the patient brunette directly. "Yes, that would be amazing! I wanted the sawana sofa with a matching armchair, the colour is charcoal grey!"

For a moment Thatch says nothing, almost making you wonder if the line had gone dead before his voice suddenly booms in your ear. "Right! Excellent, yes! I will jot that down for you! A-Anything else?"

His slight change in attitude definitely throws you off quite a bit, he doesn't seem like the sort to stutter over his sentences, you can even hear him vaguely shuffling around in the background.

Is he okay?

"Is it possible that I could also request some stools for my kitchen island?" Your voice is showing clear hints of hesitation as you try to work out why the brunette is acting so strange now but ultimately, you just chalk it down to the possibility that he's probably trying to sift through paperwork during this conversation.

"Absolutely, would you be the one choosing the style or would it be this 'Sabo' gentleman? I assume you live together?" Well, there goes your entire thought process.

You hadn't realised just how well your phone's microphone can pick up sound, even whispers. The blunder only causing Sabo to burst into a fit of giggles as he carelessly presses his hand to your lower back. "Tell him it's rude to assume things from women, that'll really mess him up~!"

What? No, shut up Sabo, before I confuse the poor man even more!

"Y-Yeah...I mean no, he doesn't live here! He's kind of just a friend who slept over last night...sorta." At this point your brain is malfunctioning and it certainly doesn't help that all you can hear in the background is a certain giggly blonde causing you to half-heartedly swat his chest with the back of your hand, silently attempting to shut him up. "I-I'll be the one choosing the decoration!"

Christ, kill me now.

"Uh--Oh! Of course, I understand! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to assume!" The poor male blurts every word sporadically down the phone, only making his younger brother fall back down to your bed, still chuckling away and even having to clutch at his ribs in the process.

"Hahaha! I can't~! I didn't even know I could feel pain while being dead until now ahahaha~!"

This damn boy...!

"Did you have any designs in mind then, or would you like my brother to bring a booklet for you to go through upon delivery? As said already, your next purchase will be free as an apology for your injury when you were in our store and you'll get 25% off the asking price for the furniture we deliver today!" Thatch adds, managing to regain his professional tone once again.

"I'll go through the designs in the booklet first, if that's okay!" You don't really have much choice in the matter since you never got the chance to look at the stools due to injuring yourself so that you could meet Marco, something that you're beginning to wonder was even worth the pain.

At least one of the sibling's will be delivering the seating to your home so they won't be able to avoid coming in and then perhaps, Sabo could try to communicate with them.

Yes, perfe--!

"That's absolutely fine, darlin'. Delivery will be around noon-ish and we'll be more than happy to bring the furniture into your house for you, you'll only need to show us where to put it."

He's coming too? Wait, he called me darling!

"Huh?" Sabo's laughter finally dying out completely as he sits up again, his back leaning against yours and his ear pressing against the back of your phone, seemingly trying to eavesdrop some more. "He better be doing it out of mannerisms and not trying to flirt with you."

"That's fine, Thatch! Thank you!" And with that, you hastily hang up the phone, trying to ignore the burning in your cheeks but it's definitely a futile attempt.

I've never had a man get jealous over me before!

"Well, what do you expect? You're beautiful and he's alive, he already has an advantage over me!" The blonde blurts upon hearing your thoughts, a light pink hue dusting his cheeks as he sheepishly scratches his nose. "Besides, he can go on dates and stuff..."

It takes just about all of your willpower to force your self-control and not allow your inner thoughts to break down into a circus of high-pitched screams that would surely deafen the handsome ghost that's currently sharing your bed.

"But..." You lowly murmur while gazing up into the boy's beautiful eyes, locking the ocean blue colour of his irises into your memory as your hand shyly comes up to his cheek, gently caressing his warm skin. "He isn't you and therefore, he doesn't get to share a bed with me."

If somebody told you last week that you'd have the confidence to say such a thing to a man, especially a surprisingly-warm ghost, you'd definitely scoff at the claim.

You're not a promiscuous lady but it would seem that your ghostly friend, or perhaps even lover at this point, doesn't mind taking things slow with you.

"Well, that's a relief. The thought of Thatch laying in bed with you kinda grosses me out."

"I should hope so, he's your brother!" Your response doesn't fail to draw a giggle from Sabo's lips, a cheerful expression taking over his features as he pulls you comfortably into his chest, his lips hovering mere inches from your own and successfully tempting your bravery.

But will he allow such a thing so soon?

"You wouldn't know unless you try, little miss petal." The blonde teases softly, etching just a little closer as his gaze flickers down to your mouth before returning to your burning stare, encouraging you to try.

And with that, you gently fill the space.

Your lips connecting with his as light as a feather and igniting a blissful warmth between you both, your affections meld perfectly with his own, his soothing hand cupping your face as he deepens the kiss a little more, causing your cheeks to burn and your brain to buffer completely.

You've never been kissed with so much passion before and it feels absolutely amazing.

He indulges in the sweet liplock for a few moments before gently tugging your lip in between his teeth, lightly nibbling on your sensitive skin before he reluctantly breaks away, his nose brushing against yours as your eyes flicker open, gazing into his as a small smile graces your lips.

He is so perfect...but wait, is he my lover now or am I just a bit of fun for him?

"A bit of fun? No way, you're definitely my lover~!"

"S-Stop reading me--!"
