Together again

Together, we are an ocean."

People were playing volleyball and enjoying the nice day, not noticing the three ghost who were standing there and staring at two buildings.

"A bike shack right where my house used to be." Reggie stated, not really knowing how to feel at the moment. "Right here."

"Yeah, I'm sorry, man." Luke said while slapping his friends chest hoping that could count as sympathy, yet that went down the drain as Reggie continued. "They made the Meyersons' house into a noodle shop. Why couldn't they have made mine a pizzeria or something?"

"They tore down the whole neighborhood." Alex gestured showing that a lot more has happened while they've been gone. "I guess my folks are gone." Reggie stated.

"No. Everyone's gone." Alex muttered, only to receive a look from Reggie. "Twenty-five years, gone. Friends, family, Bobby, everyone."

"Bobby, that's right. I guess that vegetarian lucked out. What do you think happened to him?" Reggie questioned looking at Alex, after being reminded about the boy.

Luke just shrugged, "He probably just got old like everybody else and moved on." Giving up on the sad moment and just wanting to find something else to talk about. Alex turned towards Luke. "Dude, how are you so casual about all of this? Don't you wanna figure out what happened?"

Luke just rolled his eyes, as he faced his two band mates. "Let's be real for a second. It's not like we were that close to our families. My folks always regretted buying me that guitar." Luke than pointed towards the bass player. "Reggie, your parents were literally a fight away from a divorce." He then turned to his drummer and looked at him sadly. "Alex, I... Your parents were never cool again after you told them you were gay or when they caught us kissing each other on the front porch after one of our dates." After saying that, he turned his head towards the sky. "How about Reese, huh? I think she had it worse than us sometimes."

"Ok." Alex said, gaining Lukes attention. "None of us had it great. All right? But at least we had something, you know, what do we have now?" Before Luke or Reggie could say anything, Alex held his hand up. "And before you say cool teleportation skills, just know I'm not entirely ok with that either, all right? It tingles, in weird places." Alex finished as he gestured to his body making everyone slightly uncomfortable.

"I'll tell you what we had. It's what we've had since the day we came together. Boys, we have us, we're the only family we're ever gonna need, and once we can get Reese to trust us again, we can be complete. You know what else we have?"

"I'm gonna guess death breath." Reggie said, only gaining a laugh from Luke.

"Our music, you dork. We have our music, you guys. People, actual people, can hear us play! They can't see us, fine, but they can feel us. If I had my guitar, I'd play for all these people right now. Just like what we used to do down at the pier."

Alex looked at his friend curiously. "They can't tip what they can't see." Luke just rolled his eyes at his friends statement. "It's not about the tips, Alex. It's about playing music. Connecting with people, making a difference in their day. I just... I wish I had my guitar." For no reason, Luke spun around as his guitar appeared in his hands.

"Whoa! That was rad, how'd you do that?" Reggie asked.

"I don't know. I-I-I mean, I wished for it, and then it came in my hands..."

Once hearing this Reggie squatted down, closed his eyes and held his hands out. "I-I-I wish I had a puppy. A hamster? Pizza?" When nothing still happened, Reggie groans as he plopped himself onto the sand.

Just when Luke was about to say something, a familiar laugh filled their ear drums. "Aww, Reggie why the long face?"

Needing a break from her sister and friends constant arguing about what had been said earlier today, Chris decided to go down towards the one place she knew would make her feel better. Once arriving, Chris just walked, watching people goofed around allowing themselves one day of relaxation before returning to reality.

As Chris was walking towards her favorite noodle shop, she saw three familiar guys talking. Not thinking twice, Chris walked towards the group. "I-I-I wish I had a puppy. A hamster? Pizza?" Reggie stated, before siting on the group with a look that was similar to a golden retriever not getting what he wants.

"Aww, Reggie why the long face?" She asked, making the boys quickly turn to look at her, shocked that she was here.

"Reese? Wh-what are you doing here?" Alex asked, looking at the girl. "I have a free period at this time and decided to come out here and look at the view and get away from some people, didn't know you guys would be here."

"So, what up?" She asked looking at the three, as she sat down next too reggie, ignoring the hint of jealousy that Luke was sending towards the two. "Reggie is just sad he couldn't making pizza appear in his hands." Alex stated, only making the boy to groan more from disappointment.

"Hey, I think I know something that'll cheer you up." Luke stated happily, as he started to strum his guitar causing an upbeat tune to fill the air. Seeing that this is what they're going to be doing, Alex stood by Lukes side and turned to the two people who were still siting. "Come on, Reginald!" He started to slap a beat on his legs and chest, both still trying to convince their friend to get up.

(Luke)

A one, two, three, four.

(Reggie)

Can you?

Can you hear me?

(Alex)

Yep, loud and clear!

We gotta get

Gotta get ready

Reggie jumped on the log as the other two joined him, leaving Chris to watch the boys play and sing. She couldn't deny that they looked happy.

'Cause it's been years!

Whoa, oh, oh, oh

This band is back

Whoa, oh, oh, oh

This band is back

The boys made their way to random chairs that were on the lawn just goofing around, seeing everyone just dancing around to their song.

Woohoo, ooh, ooh

Woohoo, ooh, ooh

Woohoo, ooh, ooh

Can you

Yes we can

Can you hear me?

Loud and clear

We gotta get, wanna get

We gotta get ready

Reggie said directly at the surfer who was passing by, making the man question on what was happening, Chris couldn't help but laugh as the girl.

'Cause it's been years

Hey

Whoa, oh, oh, oh

This band is back

Whoa, oh, oh, oh

This band is back...

"You won't find the speaker. It's direct spot audio, I heard about it in a TED talk." A random guy said, as the boys surrounded him and his friend.

Woohoo, ooh, ooh

Whoo-ooh...

Yee-ha

Alex started to scat as the band settled down to a closing of their song, slowly making their way back to Chris who was now leaning against a tree. As the boys got closer, she started to clap. "Nice show boys, that was something I actually looked forward to this time." Looking directly at Luke, who looked away still somewhat embarrassed.

"Thanks, Reese." Reggie said as he draped his arm around her shoulder, something that he was use to doing. Yet, his smile turned into a frown when she shrugged it off.

"Ok, still not Reese, first of all. My name is Chris, so please just remember that for me. Secondly I would love to stay and continue to look crazy in front of a lot of strangers, but I got school." With that Chris left the three guys standing there as she made her way down the sidewalk towards her car.

"I don't think we're ever going to get on her good side." Alex stated, making the three of them groan in defeat.

Here's another chapter that I had already done, I might haver to finish the rest of them tonight or tomorrow.
