Three Months Later/Nevada Apartment Complex

Amara- I lounge on the couch resting after three hours of being on my feet. (Groans Softly) I was startled when there was suddenly a cold wet nose pressed into my hip. (Smiles) Taking a deep calming breath and slowly letting it out, I reach out and gently pet my husky between the ears. "Kida, my sweet girl."

Kelly- I walk back into the livingroom and give Mara a cup of tea. (Smiles Softly) I cross the small amount of space and make myself comfortably in the chair opposite from the couch. "You shouldn't be working so much now, you're due any day." I watch the redhead and her husky interact.

Veronique- I just put Annabelle, Chloe, Nero and Keegan down for a nap and sit on the couch behind Mara as I rub her lower back. "Agreed, you've been having major problems through your pregnancy."

Amara- (Sighs Heavily) As much as it bothered me, I know they were right as on multiple occasions I had pregnancy loss scares due to all the stress and being overworked. (Hums Coyly) "You win, however, one of you can call my boss and explain the situation." I hold up my phone and dangle it in a challenging manner.

Kelly- (Smirks Deviously) "Bet!" I lazily climb out of the chair and grab Mara's cell on the way out of the living room. In mere moments I return, phone in hand as well as a tray of drinks. "Now, then...let's explain the situation to this dickwad." (Hums Playfully) I go through Mara's phone and speed dial her shitty boss as I effectively get her fired. (Smirks) "Done." I hand Mara her phone back, before going back to my seat.

Ashley- We all watched as Kelly ripped into the lowlife. (Nods) "You, go girl." As I was sitting on the floor in front of where Mara sits, I tilted my head back gazing up at her. "Girlie, are you feeling up to that photo shoot?"

Amara- Gently rubbing at my swollen belly as I give her an uneasy look. "Are you sure it's such a good idea?" In mere seconds, she went from smiling to looking down right offended.

Ashley- (Narrows Eyes) "Mara, you are that ass-hole's fiancé!" Pausing momentarily, then continuing my rant. "You have been the bigger person by keeping him in the loop. You've sent him sonograms from every doctor's appointment, blood work results and a DNA report for added measure. I really think it would do him good to see your belly and the transition you've made in eight months!"

Amara- I listened from start to finish and she easily won me over. (Sighs Over-Exaggeratedly) "Alright..." Pausing momentarily (Smiles Softly) "You're right, let's do it!"

Veronique and Kelly- (Squeals Happily) We get to our own feet and then walk over to the couch and help our sister to hers.

Ashley- I know she was really uncomfortable, but she was going to thank me later, they both were. (Smirks Slyly) "He is going to love these!"

Amara- (Huffs and Smiles) "He better."

Kelly and Veronique- (Laughs)

(Phone Dings)

Zak- I pick up my phone. (Raises Eyebrows Inquiringly) "Why is Ashley texting me?" I click the notification as it pops me into the message. (Hums Softly) I slowly look over the attached images;

I save the images to my phone gallery. "Fuck she's as gorgeous as ever!"

Nick- I walk into his office and happen to overhear the last part of his statement. "Who is gorgeous?" I sit down in a chair across from him.

Zak- He barely has the chance to get comfortable as I toss my phone at him. "Ash sent me photos of Mara."

Nick- After my tongue lashing, Zak took more interest in Marr and his child again. (Eyes Widen) I suddenly have a phone thrown at me. (Huffs UnAmusedly) "Stop throwing your shit at me." (Glares Playfully) Fixing myself, I read over the text and admire the images. "The Dark Queen is absolutely stunning." I click the phone off as I reach up and place it on the desk. (Frowns) The look that graces Zak's face is unusual, the best way I could describe the way he looked is distraught. "Zak?"

Zak- (Sighs Heavily) Shifting my position as I sit back in my chair and reach up rubbing my hands down my face. "I've fucked up..."

Nick- (Rolls Eyes) I wasn't gonna point out the obvious. However, I chose to reply to what was unsaid. "You can start with; I'm sorry and please forgive me."

Zak- (Nods) Pushing the chair back as I bounce to my feet. "I need to make things right, I need them in my life."

Nick- Long gone is Vegas playboy bachelor as my brother has been domesticated by a kindred soul. (Smiles Proudly) "Let's go, I'm taking you to her." Getting to my feet just as quickly, I rest a hand on Zak's shoulder as I lead him out of the office.

Zak- Pocketing my phone, I eagerly allow Nick to guide me out to his truck.
