The city of Avalion was a beautiful sight to behold to show the planet's successful and rich civilization to all who could see it with their bare eyes. The flying cars getting stuck in air traffic as the cars below them move freely and also being bombarded by advertisements when the drivers try to get their minds off of the stressful waiting. In the high and neon-colored buildings were the offices that run the town to keep it alive and busy, from the skyscrapers to the stump restaurants. Besides Avalion being the busy city as it is, right next to the buildings is the Intergalactic Union's Headquarters. The HQ was the biggest building of Avalion, towering over the city under it's watch and shadow. The building has a wide circular shape with a half-sphere top and open windows for the ships to enter through the port and leave for missions. The outside of the city, which is a peaceful grassy plains area with a couple of trees on different spots, hide the city's defenses in case of meteors or unfriendly raiders. Avalion was at the peak of technological advances and promoting it's ways to the other civilizations.
A particular young man with short brown hair and in a seemingly uncomfortable business uniform enters the building and looked around in amazement at the busy interior of the Headquarters. He moves through the crowds of people as he headed into the building, seeming to have no exact destination to get to and just admiring. The man sighed after he made it past the crowd and looks at the signs pointing to the locations that are marked on it. The man found the sign that points to "Job Applications" and walked down that path along with other people he didn't know towards it. After a few minutes, he arrived at the large room with many stands for the many jobs that are looking for recruits. However, the man's luck against him, there were already seemingly long lines for most of the good jobs he liked. The man found the stalls that had no line, yet they were mostly related to the unpopular jobs. As he kept looking, he began to think about having to resort to those unpopular jobs.
He eventually found a stand that seemed bigger than the others, because it was the military of the Union who are enlisting recruits to join the ranks to protect the land's peace. There were a few people in line already and the man was pretty skeptical about the thought of going to war and risking his life. The man glances back at the military stand and saw one sentence on the stand that caught his interest: "Government will pay Debts." The man was already in debt since graduating, so for a promise like that just seemed to good to be true. Losing any doubts of joining, he gets in line with the others with his smile and his thoughts of living a debt-free life.
Some time passes as the two soldiers there interviewed each person at the front of the line. "Next!" The first soldiers said, the man being the one next as he walked to the seat and sat down in front of the soldiers. The second soldier got some papers up along with a pen as he seemed to be ready to write as the first soldier looked at the man. "What's your name?" The soldier asks.
"It's Danny," the man speaks his name, "Danny Oswald."
The second soldier began writing as the first soldier kept talking, "How old are you?" Danny looked at the second soldier for a moment before looking back at the first soldier, "I just turned 18 last week" he answered.
The soldier and Danny continued talking about his accomplishments, hobbies, and other related questions as the paper was almost filled with the info. "Do you have any previous combat experience?" The soldier asks Danny. "None at all" Danny answered, starting to worry that it could affect whether he'll be in or not. Instead, the soldier asks another question, "Would you like to take the training course?" Danny was not at a split decision when he heard that question. On one hand, he heard about the tough and cruel training course that they do. Danny wasn't quite sure he was that dedicated to risk it. On the other hand, the training could help him greatly since he was becoming a soldier now, and his debt-free life wouldn't be great if he died on his first day. Danny came up with his final decision, "Sure, I'll join." The second soldier finished writing the paper and the first soldier gave Danny a card with the location of where the training course will be.
It was only two hours ago when Danny got interviewed as he was now walking through the guarded gate and into the white and blue complex. Danny continued walking as he observed the interior just like when he was at the HQ and saw the front desk there. He gets to the front and the person there looks at him. "Name?" The person asks as he takes out a list of people. "Danny Oswald" he tells the person as the person marks him on the list and opened the big door that was next to the counter, giving him access to the barracks and where his training course will be. Danny kept on walking the path down and sees a man in an army uniform with badges on him, instructing the trainees there with a harsh tone in his voice. Danny was cautious to not disturb him as he slowly walks up to the man. Suddenly, the man turned quickly around to Danny, causing Danny to fall over onto his back in surprise. "Are you one of the new recruits?" The general questions Danny as he got back up from the ground. Usually, Danny would be annoyed by getting surprised by someone, but this time he had to be serious around the general. "Y-Yes sir!" The General gave him the stink eye as he observed him from his clothes to his face, getting uncomfortably close to him in the process. The general stood back up again after his "observation" and walked into a room before chucking a bag at Danny, causing him to grunt when he caught it before it hit his chest. "Get changed, Soldier! The enemy won't stop for anybody!" The general shouted. Danny quickly ran into a room and locked it as he began to get undressed and put on the uniform that was given. He looks at a mirror and gets a quick glance at his uniform before heading out and began the cruel training.
First off was the endurance test, where the trainees have to do at least run a mile back and forth ten times. Danny got tired on the 8th mile and slowed to a jog as he watched some of the trainees finish and some struggling to continue. The second part was the shooting range where the trainees tested with many kinds of guns to get the hang of using them. The shooting range had a short, medium, and far distance for the kinds of guns, steel bars connected to chains on the roof keep the shooting range steady since some of the guns had a strong recoil enough to make an earthquake in the room just by firing it without a modification. Danny chose a futuristic pistol to use first, but the recoil was so much that it hit him square on the nose and knocked him over on his first shot, which didn't even hit the target. The third part was swimming, where the trainees have to swim around a big pool five times using the least amount of breaths possible. Danny was a great swimmer, but for every half-mile, he has to take a breath.
Eventually the night came quickly while they were training as they got into a line again, sweaty and exhausted as ever. The general came back in and the trainees quickly stood back up and saluted. The general observed each trainee uncomfortably closely again before backing away. "Listen up! Sleep is important as well as training!" The general shouted, "Without it, we might as well be Care Bears in a bear trap in bear country with our bear hands on our bear behinds!" As ridiculous as the statement may be, no one made a comment about it. "Now get to rest!" The general ordered before walking back to his room as well as the trainees and Danny went to their rooms. They all flopped onto the bed and went to sleep, but Danny stayed up for a while, thinking about how bad he must've looked like to the general. However, his determination to make it is more stronger than his fear of humiliation, mostly due to his wanting to avoid his debt at all costs. After a while, he went to sleep finally.
The next morning, the trainees all woke up, refreshed from last night, and went back outside and stood in a line in front of the general, who was awake before them. "Do you know what today is??" The general loudly asks the trainees. One of them was about to answer before the general quickly interrupted, "Whatever you're thinking it is is wrong! Today is the day that decided which army you're getting yourself into!" Danny seemed confused as to what the general meant, along with a few other trainees. "As you know, this army is divided into four separate armies! The first one if the kiddie unit, where all the scaredy cats and lazy bums are put in where they'll train day after day after day until they understand what exactly they got themselves into! Second section is the privates-"
One of the trainees held in a laugh, but the general took noticed and marched quickly over to that trainee with a glare. "Alright Mr. Comedian!" He shouted at the trainee, "You find yourself so funny, go ahead and tell a joke!" The trainee was about to say something, only for the mad general to interrupt him again, "BEEP! Times's up! Reviews just came in! Your show sucked even more than a two year old sucking a lollipop!" The general's tough comment made the trainee go all silent, as if all his confidence just blew away with the wind. The general marches back to where he was before to resume his talking. "The second army is the privates. Those who at least have some experience will be put here! You won't fight the big wars, but you'll be put in guard duty and supply runs! Third part is the Spear! They'll be the ones going into wars and battles first! Fourth and most powerful army is called the Calvary! Just hearing the name makes you shake, don't it?!" In all honesty, they're shaking because they don't want him calling them out like Mr.comedian. "They'll be the ones that'll come in the battles and wars later on as our surprise reinforcements! When you're a Calvary, everything is a risk to your discovery! The Calvary is our surprise weapon, and we'll do whatever it takes to keep it secret!" Danny was now even more confused about where he wanted to be. He doesn't want to be in the kiddie unit; training is already too much of a pain! He didn't want to be in the Calvary either; so much stress just to be in secret. Perhaps the privates or the Spear are his forte...
Before he could think of anything else, the General started to talk again, "Today, you are about to be signed into one of these four armies from your first day here!" The general announced, causing the others to widen their eyes in surprise. Assuming already?! But it was one day!! The general seemed to care less though, as he pulled out a list and got his hand ready to point. "We'll start with who'll be in the kiddie unit!" The general announced, waving his finger to each trainee slowly. The trainees were sweating already in fear of being picked, Danny being the most afraid of them all.
The general's hand slowed down as it was approaching Danny until suddenly, something that even surprised the general, an explosion could be heard and seen from the far wall behind the general. They all looked at where the explosion came from and they all, even the general, widened their eyes in surprise as what came out of the smoke: A Hyperhunter.
Hyperhunters came from the hostile planet of Ogoria, where only the evilest could live without getting arrested. The soldiers on Ogoria are all made of metal with intimidating designs and destructive weapons. Hyperhunters are shaped like buff humans, only that they're made of metal and their head only has one razor-like visor with fire emitting out of it. They may not have a lot of weapons, but they have great strength that no trainees should ever go face to face with.
The Hyperhunter gave out a loud shout as it stomps the floor, making the course shake from the pressure. The general quickly takes out his pistol and fires at it while all of the trainees, including Danny, ran for their lives. The pistol's blue photon blasts did nothing to the Hyperhunter as it slaps the gun out of the general's hand and punches him square on the face, knocking him out. Now all of the trainees were full of fear! If the general can't take it out, who will?! The robot crushes the list and gave out another shout as it fires it laser vision around the room, causing part of the wall to fall. Danny watches in horror as it ran to the shooting range, where the Hyperhunter Locked its sights on Danny and walks slowly towards him when two of the trainees took out a rifle and a assault rifle and began firing at the robot, still doing nothing as the robot then snatched the guns away and knocked their heads together to knock them both unconscious. The robot turns its head to see Danny trying to open the back door but to no avail. The Hyperhunter walks through the shooting range door as Danny widened its eyes at the robot, feeling hopeless. Before he could cry himself to sleep, he found the pistol that he used before and aimed it at the robot, forgetting about the strong recoil. When he fired, the gun's recoil knocked Danny back to the wall as the photon blast bounced around the room, causing the robot to watch it while standing still. The blast finally hit something on the roof: one of the chains that held one of the steel bars up to keep the room stable. The chain broke and the steel bar swung down and hits the robot, causing it to fly out of the room and land on its back. Danny pulled himself up and quickly got out of the shooting range before the room collapsed. Danny looks back at the robot and saw that the top of its head had bent open a bit. Taking the advantage, Danny ran towards the robot, the other trainees watching in surprise, and began to pull on the bent part to open its head. The robot took notice and quickly got up, causing Danny to hang on its back. The Hyperhunter started to fire its laser vision around the room and shakes in an attempt to get Danny off of it, but his grip was tightened by the confidence of the robot's weakness being exposed! The robot then charged backwards in an attempt to slam Danny into the wall, but before it could make contact, the top of its head started to get pulled off by Danny's strength, causing a small part of the flame in its head to leak out and the Hyperhunter shrieked in the feeling. Finally, with one final pull, Danny's hand held the top of the Hyperhunter and held it up while shouting in strength as the flame began to be slowly flickering as the robot gave one last shriek before the flame went out and the robot, once a threat to every single living person in the complex, became but a mere, cold statue.
Danny, the hero of the trainees, panted as he held the top of the robot's head up high still as he looked around to see the amazement of the other trainees, actually applauding him in the process. Then the door quickly opened as another man appeared as he rushed into the room, holding with him what appears to be a electron launcher and a I.P.G. On his back.
"Never fear! Jakk Storm is he-" the male with the explosives said before stopping himself to see the scene of the crime and looks at the unmoving body of the Hyperhunter with a trainee on it's back, holding the top of its head on his hand. The man sighed in disappointment, surprisingly, and kicked the dirt, "Aw man! I was so looking forward to bowing something up!"

Danny was sitting in a waiting room, right in front of the medical room where the injured were put in from the Hyperhunter attack. He was wondering why the general told him to wait here. Did he do something wrong? Was the Hyperhunter controlled by them and he just got himself into kiddie unit by destroying it? He grew worried by each scenario as a ding was heard and he turned to the noise and saw an elevator door was opening up, which was surprising since it looked like a bookcase, and the general was standing there with a crutch on his side and a smile on his face.
"Come on, boy!" He tells Danny as he then entered the elevator with the general and began moving upwards after the door closed. "When I saw how you performed on the first day," the General started to talk, this time not yelling, "I figured you would be a private. Your choice of gun wasn't exactly great, but your performance on the first test was above average, and the last test was just average. I never figured you would take out that Hyperhunter and beat the Galactic Squad to the punch!" The general then started to laugh a bit at what he said. Danny looks at the General with a confused look, "Whose the Galactic Squad?" Danny asks the general, getting a calm look from him in return. "Remember when I said that the Calvary are the strongest?" the General reminded him of the talk he gave before the Hyberhunter attacked, "That was for the usual trainees. The Galactic Squad is the real strongest unit there is. You met one of them actually! Jakk Storm: Galactic Squad Demolitionist! He was the one supposed to be taking out the Hyperhunter." Danny then remembered that guy who had the explosives. In a way, someone with a lot of explosives would be strong.
The elevator stops at its destination, showing a personal garage with a ship in the middle of it in front of closed gates. The ship seemed to be more unique than the other ships he saw: The ship was shaped like a crescent with two rectangular jet thrusters on each side of the crescent. The ship was colored red with yellow stripes across it. Danny looked at the ship in amazement as he got closer to it along with the General. Just then, the ship's front door opened as steps emerged from it and touched the ground, revealing the commander there with his short red hair and a smile on his face while looking at Danny. He held his helmet under his arm as he walks down the steps and stood in front of Danny. "Is your name Danny Oswald?" The Commander asks him with Danny answering with a nod. "The name's Zane. Welcome to Galactic Squad."
Danny looked back at the General again, "What's the commander doing here?" He asks him before Zane answered the question for him. "I want to recruit you, that's what" Zane smiles as he crosses his arms, forgetting that he dropped his helmet, in which he quickly picked it up before it hit the floor and resumed his original pose as he acted like nothing happened. Ignoring that embarrassing moment, Danny's eyes widen at the answer, "Hold on! Are you sure? I-I mean it's an honor, but why me?" Zane chuckled by that question, "Why you? You took down a Hyperhunter by yourself when everyone else was afraid" the Commander answered, Danny kept the secret to himself that he was also scared, "That's strength worthy of our team."
"O-Okay" Danny said, trying to get his cool back, "So when do I start?"
"You'll Start now" Zane replied as he heads into the ship and looks back at Danny, "Well? Are you coming?" Danny took a moment before nodding and walks inside the ship, waving at the General before the ship's door closed. The general waved back before heading back to the elevator. Danny walked to the front window where Zane sat as he sits in the empty seat as well and looked outside to hear the hangar doors behind them open up. Zane gets the ship up and turned it around to face the opening and flies the ship out of it, flying over the city. Danny looked outside in awe as he saw his Home city under him as a whole. "Better buckle up, Danny. The ride gets rough from here" Zane eats him as the ship's engine's started to charge up. Danny took notice and quickly buckled himself up before the ship flew faster and upwards as they left the sky of Avalion and into space. Danny's life with the Galactic Squad starts now!

However, back at the HQ of the Union, generals and commanders sat around in a circle as they shouted and argued with each other. "Silence!" A loud voice rang as everyone went quiet as they turn and faced the leader of the Union, standing there with his arms crossed and eyes closed. He slowly opens them up as he looked at everyone, "Of all my time as the leader of Avalion, not once had we got such a situation as critical as this," he stated with a cold and serious voice, "A Hyperhunter attacking the training complex......a threat like that should've been noticeable." The leader then slams his hands on the table and glared at the others.
"Now tell me......how could you let this threat slip by?"
