Now, Rising Flare Dragon attack Tai!" The dragon unleashed a mighty flamethrower across the field. Tai braced himself from the attack. "How does it feel being attack from your old buddy?" "He's still my buddy!" "I'm not so sure if Flare here, agrees. Isn't that right Flare?" The dragon spoke in a monotone voice. "The reason I left is because the human named Tai is unworthy." Tai couldn't believe what it's saying. "You don't truly mean that!" "Oh Tai, I think he does. Face it! He's my buddy! Not yours. I end." Score: Tai-6, Tyson-9.

"Fine! Be that way! I'll just show what I'm made of!" Tai was outraged. Tyson started to think to himself. "Yes, show me more negativity." "Tai better calm down." Luke said to Charles. "Or this will be his downfall. Rising Flare Dragon is being controlled." Charles nodded. "Draw, charge and draw. I call Thousand Rapier Dragon to the left! Gain a life! Now Thousand Rapier and I will attack Rising Flare!" "Cast! Dragon Barrier! It protects Flare from being destroyed!" "Dang. I end." "Draw, charge and draw. I cast Dragonic Charge! I use Bear-Trap to attack Thousand Rapier! Then Flare will attack Tai! I end." Score: Tai-5, Tyson-9.

Over the next couple turn, Tyson has been reading Tai's attack. Protect his monsters, while destroying Tai's. Tai has just been attacking without thinking. Now the score is Tai-1, Tyson-9. It's Tai's turn. He's on one knee panting. "Draw. Charge and draw. I call Twin Brutes, Boomerang and Thousand Rapier Dragon. Thousand Rapier attack Latale Shield!" "Cast! Dragobond on Latale Shield!" "Boomerang and Twin Brutes attack Rising Flare." "Cast! Dragoenergy!" "Shoot!" "Flare! Destroy Boomerang!" "I attack Rising Flare!" "I cast Dragobond." "I end." Tyson starts to laugh. "Man, you're pathetic. I would love to see you try to recklessly defeat me but I wil end this." He hold his ring in the air. "Power from all the worlds, lend me the strength to defend! GUARDIAN BREAK!" A burst of energy released from his ring, then surrounding him. He started to transform. His hair has a black and silver stripe going in the middle. He also have dark purple wings. The crowd was in awe. "So you can use it too." "Yes, and this will be the end of you!"

"Draw, charge and draw. I retire Rising Flare Dragon to buddycall to the right. Reborn from an inferno, the super heated blade that cuts through everything! Show them your reborn power! Come forth, Rising Flare HEAT EDGE!!" The reborn dragon stood there with it's crimson talons looking at Tai. "Heat Edge..." "There it is." Rosena said. "The sacred Guardian." Blair finished. "Got a good look? Because this will be the last you see him." Tai was speechless.  "I use Flare's effect. If Rising Flare Dragon is in my drop zone, it gains 2000 power and defense! Then I pay 1 life to equip Steel Fist Dragoknuckle. Now Latale Shield and Flare will attack Thousand Rapier and Twin Brutes!" The dragons cut the others in half. Tyson walked to Tai. "Now your field's empty and all you have is a sword." He was in his face. "And what can you do?" Tai said nothing. "That's what I thought." Tyson threw a punch that launched him off the stage. "Face it, you lost." He walked back to his spot. "I use Dragoknukle's effect to charge my gauge and end." 

Tai lie there with his face in the ground. "How did this happen to me? I was suppose to get Heat Edge back, but now I have 1 life left." Mystic Flame watched their teammate on the ground feeling helpless. "I can't take this anymore!" Blair said. She rested Hallie against the wall then ran out of the pit. "Where are you going?" Stella said but it was too late. She was gone. "Aw man, he's gonna get it now." A voice said. Rosena and Stella looked around to find whoever said that. "Down here." They looked at Hallie. "You're not sleeping?" Rosena said. Hallie got up. "I was but it sounds like Sis is determined about something." She went to the screen and saw Tai on the ground. "Yep, that will do it. Once Sis set her mind to something, she won't give up on it." "Then lets hope she can get through to him." Rosena said. They agreed.

Tai was still on the ground thinking to himself. "Maybe, maybe I am unworthy. Maybe Heat Edge need someone more powerful." "Tai!" "Who's calling me?" "Tai!" "It sounds like..." "Tai! Get up! Get up right now!" He manage to sit up. It was Blair near the rail in the stands. "Now listen to me! You came to far to give up now. The person out there is not Tai! The Tai I lo..became friends with would fight with a smile! He would have fun fighting. Not being angry or give up! I don't think 'giving up' is in your vocabulary. You still helped me while you were in the hospital. Now get up and fight! Get Heat Edge back!" "She's right." He thought. "This isn't me!" He pushed himself up. He slapped both his cheeks. "Alright. Thanks Blair!" He gave her a thumbs-up. "I'm back and ready to win this!" She nodded.

He turned to Tyson. "I'm also ready to get Heat Edge back." "And how are you gonna do that?" He hold his bracelet across his chest. "By this." An aura surrounded him. "A person's soul and a Guardian's spirit makes an unbreakable will to protect!" His aura became stronger and changed into different colors. Tyson was confused. "How is this happening?!" "Ignite the fiery spirit of the world! GUARDIAN BURST!" He released a burst of energy as he transformed. After it was done, everyone was in awe. His hair was multi-colored while he had fiery angel wings. One of his eyes was crimson red while the other was multi-colored. "How did this happen?!" "Cause I'm the Legendary Rainbow Guardian! And this is my Spirit Mode!" Luke was impressed. "He combined his spirit with his Guardian Mode." He thought. "Never cease to amaze me, Tai." "You're back for real, Tai." Blair thought. "Go get him."

"Congratulations, but this won't change nothing!" "Everything is about to change! FINAL TURN!" "How is this your Final Turn? I have 11 life left!" "I'll do this! Miracle Draw! Charge and draw!" He drew 2 shining cards. "Perfect! I cast Dragonic Charge! Charge! I call 2 Boomerang Dragons to the left and center! Next I pay 3 gauge. The mighty dragon who has enormous power! Come and show them the true power of the Gargantuan blade! Come forth, Super Armordragon GARGANTUA BLADE DRAGON!!" An enormous dragon covered in blades appeared released a mighty roar. "So this you're new buddy. Well, it's very powerful. Why get Flare back?" "Because it has been with me for a long time. And I don't abandon friends. I use Gargantua Blade's effect! I can return up to 2 weapons from my drop zone to my hand! Now I discard my Dragoknuckle to destroy yours! Punisher Blade!" A flurry of swords destroy Tyson's item. "Now I discard Dragobrave to destroy Dragon Return System!" "Why would you do that?!" Tai grinned. "Because it's my Final Turn and I'm pulling out all the stops!" Mystic Flame laughed while Luke and Charles covered their faces. "He's an idiot!" They all said. "Um, okay?" Tyson was confused. 

"Now I pay 1 gauge to cast Superior Buddy! All buddy monsters gain the ability Penetrate! Both Boomerang Dragons attack the fighter! Now return to my hand! Gargantua Blade attack the fighter!" "I cast Dragonic Formation! Flare! Protect me!" "It's no use! Gargantua Blade has Penetrate!" "Dang!" Heat Edge and Gargantua Blade clashed into each other. Heat Edge try to land some blows but Gargantua Blade dodged them. Gargantua Blade sliced Heat Edge. "Thank you." Gargantua Blade nodded as Heat Edge was destroyed. "Penetrate!" "Now it's my turn!" Tai ran flew over the dragon then struck Tyson. "I still have 3 life left." "I'm not done!" He flew in the air. "I pay 5 gauge!" "Oh no." "Roaring Slash! GARGANTUA PUNISHER!!!" The Gargantuan Blade crushed Tyson winning the game. Final Score: Tai-5, Tyson-0.

They both returned to normal while slowly got up. Tai walked up to him. "That was a good match." He offered a handshake. Tyson was confused. "Are you Tai?" "Um, yes. We just fought." "Fought? I don't remember that?" "You don't?" "Nope." "Oh well, you fought well." "Thanks." Both teams went on stage. "You did it Tai!" The team said. Anna and Hanna got Tyson. "Anna? Hanna? What happen?" "Long story." They both said. "Hey Tyson, can you give Tai's deck back please?" Anna asked. "Sure. I don't know why I have it." He gave the deck to Tai. "Thanks." "I think we should go don't you think Anna?" "Yeah. We'll see you guys later." They left the stage. Then the announcer came up. "Ladies and Gentleman! The winners of the Grand Prix is Team Mystic Flame!" The crowd cheered. They were given a trophy. Tai hold it in the air. Everyone was clapping. "We did it! We won and I got Heat Edge back." "Hey Tai." Rosena called. The team has their hands in the middle. Tai put his in. "Flame..." "ON!!"
