The rest of the week Jace hung out with Maria. He never left her side under any circumstance. He would take her everywhere. They went to the park, movies, lake, arcades, restaurants, everywhere and anywhere he could think of. He would be so happy and cheerful the entire time. Jace never hesitated to hold her hand, hug her, or plant a kiss on her cheek or forehead. Maria, however, would squeak and become a flushed, stuttering mess. Jace just ignored it. He loved every moment with the girl that had his entire heart. With a giggle, Licori watched Maria hang out with all her friends and crush with her memories slowly coming back. But Licori had to worry. The week was quickly coming to an end and they didn't know the exact date the other three would be returning. The thought obviously never crossed Maria's mind seeing as she was always with the group and at her mother's restaurant. Jace never seemed to worry too as he held the girl he loved close to him, despite her becoming a stuttering mess every time. She seemed to not complain though. She enjoyed Jace holding her close. Or by the signs, that's what Jace thinks. With a smile Licori disappeared back to the mansion. Jace was currently in the park with Maria. He was firmly holding her hand as if it would be the last time he would ever hold it. Maria just quietly followed him, not arguing or trying to escape his grasp. He would talk non stop to her. She just smiled, a blush in her face, and listened to every single word he spoke. He led her to a bench and began ranting on and on about how roses are the greatest flowers ever. She began to get a feeling and suddenly remembered her ice rose. Ah yes, her ice rose that glowed green and pink. With a smile, a small idea formed in her head just for Jace. What they didn't know is that they were in for a surprise. Back at the mansion, Licori prepared for the arrival of her sister, Joseph, and Tiarcy. They would be arriving tomorrow so she thought she would get everything ready. She cleaned the dining room, dusted all the bedrooms, refilled the pantry, worked on the greenhouse and watered the garden. She cleaned the restrooms, vacuumed the carpets and rugs, polished the tables and trophies, fed the animals, and wiped every glass surface clean. As she was sweeping the big entrance, a limo pulled up and she froze. Joseph, Tiarcy, and her sister Jewels emerged from the limo and walked to the giant doors. She looked at the maids and butler who looked just as confused and scared as her. She paled Maria... All she could think about is how her friend was going to be in some deep shit. She gulped as they entered the grand entrance room, their eyes searching for a certain brown haired princess of a once powerful kingdom. They all looked upstairs as they could not see her. They all made their way upstairs. Jace was just about done ranting about roses to Maria, when she got a text. She read it and fear swept over her face. He looked at her with concern but she did not dare face him. She quickly typed a response and put her phone away. She then looked at Jace and calmly smiled sweetly at him. He felt her hiding something, but what? He shrugged it off and continued talking. As soon as he finished, he turned his attention to Maria. "I really wish I could have given you a rose..." he stated, a bit sadly if I do say so myself. Then again, I'm just the author. Anyways... She just smiled kindly at him. "Th-That's q-quite a-al-alright J-Jace" she sputtered out sweetly. He just had to smile and blush at her kindness. He found it absolutely adorable and cute. That's when they were interrupted. "That's where you are missy!" They both looked in front of them. There stood Joseph, Tiarcy, and Jewels. Maria paled and Jace held onto Maria tightly. "Why did you leave the house?!" Jewels yelled, causing Maria to flinch. "I hate being cooped up on the property! Please please don't take me back!" Maria pleaded. It took awhile before Jace plugged the pieces together. He hugged Maria and hissed like a cat. The three took a step back in surprise, but quickly shook it off. "Hand her over you wretched Rogue" Joseph spat out. Jace paled at what Joseph called him. "What? You think I didn't know? I know about the three clans. I also know you and your brothers are Rogues." Joseph spat out. Maria read about the clans in the library. She didn't expect Jace to be in one. But the couple didn't react fast enough as for they both were distracted. Joseph and Jewels yanked Maria away from Jace. Jace and Maria yelped as they were both being pulled farther and farther away from each other. Maria then held her hand out to Jace and closed her eyes. In mid-air, an ice rose appeared. Jace caught it just as Maria was stuffed into the black limo across the street. He sadly watched as the limo drove away, with the love of his life in it. He sadly sank to the ground and covered his face. He peered at the ice rose, to see it faintly glow pink and green.
