"Nika...Nika...Wake up sweetie" I heard a voice call. I slowly opened my eyes, only to be faced with pure blindness, that is from the obvious light on the ceiling that I was staring at. "Huh, where am I?" I said to the lady that was apparently shaking my body. "You're in class Ms.Town, you apparently got hit by this young man's football" she looking and nodding toward Norris. "Psh how do you know if it was me Mrs.End?" Norris said with a smirk on his face, God must have held me back, because I was .2 seconds from running up to him, and smacking that damned smirk off his face. Mrs.End just put a hand on her hip and huffed. "Ok class drama's over," Mrs.End said while clapping her hands and walking to the board, but before I could get up, Mrs.End assigned me a partner and wrote me a pass to go to the nurses. "Cody please take her with you to the nurse," Mrs.End said while facing the class and glaring at the jock sitting next to Norris, and boy just looked at me. The boy whose name was Cody had big blueish greenish eyes that sparkled, dark blue hair which he dyed, I could tell he dyed his hair often, because of the leftover streaks of red in his hair, and a perfect body. He's hot I thought while locking eyes with him, as I was staring into his eyes I noticed a bit of anger and I felt my body tense up. Better be cautious around him my I thought as he slowly got up, grabbed my hand, and led me out of the classroom.

I and the boy named Cody walked slowly down the halls to the nurse's office. My body was still tense from the angry glare I got from Cody. "Umm you don't have to take me to the nurse's office I can walk myself there," I said staring at my feet, keeping my head down."You also seemed annoyed with me and my presence" I mumbled under my breath "Ugh can you shut up? I'm doing this cause the teacher told me too, I don't want to walk you no more than you want me to...so shut your mouth and keep walking" Cody said while looking straight ahead and stuffing his hands in his pockets. Maybe this is an act he has to keep up cause he's a jock, I thought while looking up.

We stopped in front of the nurse's office, and I stepped in only to noticed that Cody was right behind me, "Um you can just leave me here", I said turning around and looking Cody in the eyes. Cody didn't say anything instead he just looked down, "Sorry" Cody mumbled while once again putting his hands in his pockets. "For what? you didn't do anything, instead, I should be thanking you... For walking me down here" I said giving a warm smile and trying to sound as kind as possible. "It was my football and my suggestion to throw the football...Well not my suggestion to throw it at someone but you know just toss it around" Cody said looking away from my gaze, I started to giggle at him, "What's so funny?!!" Cody said while blushing and giving me a death glare. " It's not your fault, besides I'm not hurt, I'm really strong ya know!" I said while holding up both my arms trying to show off my muscles. Cody just stared at me and started to laugh at my actions. His laugh was cute and quiet not loud and obnoxious. "Not a laugh you hear every day it's actually quite c-" I cut myself off. "Oops did I say that out loud?" I said while putting my hands over my mouth and looking at Cody."Yes yes, you did" Cody said closing his eyes, nodding, and laughing once again.

While in the nurse's office I told her what happened, and that my head hurts a lot. The nurse just gave me an ice pack and a pass back to class, of course, I thought to myself, these school nurses don't help you with anything, they just give you an ice pack and tell you to go back to class. I walked out of the nurse's office, and saw Cody sitting in a chair, waiting for me."Ready to head back?" I said walking past Cody who didn't say anything. I stopped when Cody pulled my arm and twirled me around to face him. "You sure you're ok?" Cody said while looking me in the eyes and feeling the spot where the ball hit me. I felt my cheeks and ears heat up" Y-yes I'm fine let's get to class" I said looking away from Cody, I then heard him let out a deep sigh "I'm glad we can't have anything ruin my reputation" he said while letting go of me and walking toward the class. What an asshole I thought while walking back to class silently.

I and Cody walked into class and noticed it was free time. Cody walked over to his little group of friends. Wow, they must all be assholes and bitches I thought while going to my seat, pulling out my phone, and listening to music. I was going to text my mom to please buy me Starbucks and a burger when I got home but I felt a hand on my shoulder, I looked up and noticed it was Cody "Hey you can come sit with us" Cody said while smiling. I nodded in agreement (because who can ignore a respectful invitation)and went over to sit with Cody, Norris, and a few other people I didn't know, "U-Um hello, I'm Nika Town" I said offering my hand to anyone who would accept it and tell me their name as well. I froze when I heard a deep chuckle from the male to the right of me "what do you think this is a job interview?" he said while crossing his arms and leaning back in the chair, "there's no need to be formal" a female under another male said with a warm smile. "I'm Rica," the girl said while flipping her natural red hair over her pale skin, "and this here is Chris", Rica said while pointing to the guy I suspected to be her boyfriend. "Sup" Chris said while holding up 2 fingers, "and that's Chrisa," she said pointing to the blonde who was filing her nails. I thought she was gonna say hi or something, but instead, she kept filing her nails "yeah she's a bitch" Rica said rolling her eyes. "Damn straight" the blonde finally spoke, while blowing her nails, and crossing her legs. Wow, what a bitch I thought to myself.

I sat down next to Cody and stared at my phone daring to not look up." So, Norris, do you know Nika" Rica said looking at Norris." I uh yeah something like that...we ride the same bus," he said looking at me and back at Rica "Oh~ well it's nice to have a hot black girl like Nika riding that lame-ass bus," Rica said while looking at me and winking at me. I felt my cheeks heat up and I looked over at Cody and noticed that he had his hood was over his head and he was peacefully sleeping, Ahh~ he must be in dreamland, I wonder what he's dreaming about? I thought not even noticing that I was staring at him. "Hey Ms.Town, Mr.Snipe, and Mr.Ting can you take these books and papers to the office," Mrs.End said while looking at the little group I was in. "Ting, Snipe? who is that?" I asked while looking at the class. "I'm Snipe," Norris said pointing to himself, "and that's Ting," Rica said pointing to the sleeping Cody. Hmm, Norris Snipe, and Cody Ting, those aren't names you hear every day, I thought to myself. I tapped Cody on his shoulder and he instantly woke up. "The papers guys" Mrs.End called out to us, "Oh yeah," I said while walking up to get the papers sheepishly.

I, Cody, and Norris carried the papers to the office without saying a word, but on the way back I noticed Norris and Cody exchange a few words, glares, and high fives, but I didn't think anything of it. "So where are you from Nika," Norris said flashy me one of his movie-star smiles, that could melt steel.... "oh I'm from Michigan," I said giving him a shy smile "hmm nice," Cody and Norris said simultaneously, making me giggle. "Well, Ms.Town if you ever need anything just count on me..not Cody cause he can be a dick sometimes," Norris said with a wink "Hey! Not true I'm really nice" Cody said "Um you're kinda mean " I whispered "what, when have I ever been mean to you," Cody said crossing his arms. "In the nurse's office you got touchy-feeling with me to see if I was on then you said and I quote "oh good we can't have anything ruin my reputation," I said walking with my hand behind me like a noble, I turned around only to see Cody blushing extremely hard "oh-oh I'm so sorry," I said while looking away from Cody's gaze.
