Chapter 18
"I thought I got rid of you," Snowfall said, staring at his reflection in the ice. His gaze shifted to the reflection of his Canadian counterpart.
"You can't ever get rid of me, you know," Etho said, "I won't ever give into you."
"You are a persistent little bitch, aren't you?" Snowfall growled. Etho shrugged.
"Look, I know you're angry, but can we please just talk about it?"
"Talk about what?"
"Like, how you're using my body? And how we should...share?" Snowfall scoffed.
"Good luck convincing me on THAT."
"Snowfall?" said a voice behind him. He turned around, spotting Kye in the doorway, "Who are you talking to?"
"W-What? Oh uh, no one."
"C'mon, Snowfall," Etho said, "Why don't you tell her?"
"Shut up." Snowfall mumbled, confusing Kye even more.
"Are you sure you're not talking to anyone?" She looked around, "There's no one else here..." He was quiet, as Etho continued speaking to him.
"It won't hurt to tell her, will it? So what's the point in keeping me a secret?"
"SHUT UP!" Snowfall yelled, throwing icicles in Etho's direction. But he was gone.
"Snowfall!" Kye yelled, "Are you okay?!"
"I-ya I'm fine-" Snowfall stammered, "It's nothing important," Kye glanced nervously at the icicles pierced in the wall.
"If it's troubling you, then it must be important in some way,"
"..."
Kye took his hand, ignoring the fact that it was freezing cold. "I won't tell anyone, promise!"
"It's nothing, really," Snowfall said, pulling his hand out of hers and walking out of the small cavern. Kye stared at the doorway, thinking.
What's he hiding?
-----------------------------------------
"X!" Grian yelled, bursting into the room. X was startled, almost falling off his chair.
"Geez, you scared the life out of me," he said, adjusting himself so he didn't fall off, "Why'd you yell?"
"We came here to update you on the situation," Scar said, "Apparently there's demons now." X stared at them, unimpressed.
"Demons? And...how do you know?"
"Because there was a demonic Iskall and False chasing me earlier," Grian chimed in. X was quiet, processing the thought.
"That seems like the work of Cleo..." X said finally.
"Cleo? Do you think she's helping Snowfall then?" Grian asked, "If this even was his doing."
"It's possible," X said, "Although I'm not sure why she would be helping him."
"What if she isn't doing it intentionally?" Scar asked, "What if she's forced too?" They looked at him, considering what he said.
"That's another possibility," X said, "One that makes far more sense in this situation..."
"Ya, I don't think Cleo is the type to steal powers and use them for herself..." Grian said. His face lit up, "Ohmygosh! This should be our first task! To get Cleo back! I need to tell Tango!" The gremlin rushed off, leaving Scar and X in the room.
"We should probably go after him," X said, heading towards the door, "We don't want him getting caught again," X rushed out the door as well, Scar following, stumbling a bit. "Uh...you okay, Scar?" X asked, looking back to his friend.
"Y-ya, I'm fine..." He replied, "Just a...head...ache........" He passed out, X catching him to break his fall.
"Scar!" X yelled, "Dammit Scar, wake up!" He laid his unconscious friend on the ground, spotting red blood on the side of his body.
"Of course, blood loss. And you wouldn't bother to tell anyone," X mumbled, examining the wound, "You're lucky you got to me," His hands started glowing a bright pink color, as the wound started to close up. Color returned to Scar's pale skin, as his skin started warming up again. Scar gasped, letting X relax a bit.
"Oh thank god it worked," He sighed, as Scar sat up.
"What happened?"
"You passed out. Thankfully I healed you before you lost more blood and,you know, died."
"Oh god..." Scar stared at the floor, "And it's worse now since we can't respawn," X nodded. Scar paused.
"Wait, you said you healed me?" He looked at X, confused, "Is that your power?"
"Hm? Oh, yeah!"
"B-But I thought you said you have all the powers," Scar said, startling X, "As far as I'm aware, I don't think anyone has a healing power."
"First of all, how did you know that?"
"Tango, he told me everything,"
"Oh, and answering your question, it's my power. Apparently I got a power of my own as well as everyone else's."
"Huh. I guess that makes sense..." Scar said, standing up, "We should probably go after Grian by the way," X nodded, standing up as well.
"We don't want him getting hurt in any way again,"

"Cat! What you're doing?!" Hayden yelled, "By torturing these souls, you're not doing anything!"
"Oh, and what would you know about souls?" Cat smirked, "Let alone fallen angels, like your little friend over there," Kye whimpered, hiding behind Hayden's leg.
"Kye has nothing to do with this," Hayden said sternly, "This is about what you're doing. It's wrong, even if the Council thinks it's okay."
"Don't you understand?!" Cat shouted, "Souls are POWER! If I get enough souls, I can overthrow the Council, and Hell will be MINE to rule!!" She looked at Hayden, her emerald green eyes glistening, "I thought this is what you wanted."
"Yes, but not like this! I don't want to torture souls to get power! Or force our friends to do things for me!" Hayden sighed, "They're our friends, Cat, not servants." Cat scoffed.
"Do you really think demons can have friends?" She laughed, "You're so naive! Listen, Hayden, demons can't have friends. It's just how it works."
"That's what you think," Hayden mumbled, "You may think we demons can't have friends, but I believe we do. I mean, look at Leo and Ari, do you think they aren't your friends?! Or Charlie, Vex, Ridly, Ace, or Damian?! Or me?!" Cat was quiet. "Do you think you could've come to this point without us?!"
"I don't need friends to get me here," Cat snarled, "Friends are for fools, and I am not one."
