Epilogue
She saw nothing but snow and a blinding white screen. She briefly cursed her self for having teleported herself, in critical condition, to the middle of fucking nowhere.
Then she realized something.
This was actually helpful in a strange way. Snow, ice, and cold often helped her focus more and high heat often made her dizzy, so she supposed that it was good nonetheless.
While breathing heavily, she tried to stay conscious. She took a few steps forward on very unsteady legs, hardly keeping her balance. She flinched as screams appeared in her head again.
*"if they won't..vanish until I get over their deaths....does that mean I'll hear them forever..?"* she thought.
Suddenly, pain shot up her left leg. She heard a sickening crunch and she crumpled to the ground.
She lost all feeling in her left leg and realized that she had broken it. It would take a while to heal. Normally, it would heal within an instant, but due to that damned holy sword, it would take far longer to heal.
She gasped for breath as she kept her right hand across her stomach to help contain the blood flow. She looked in front of her through her one good eye and saw a cave roughly ten feet in front of her.
Shakily, she slowly crawled forward while using what little strength she had left within her arms. After what felt like hours, she reached the foot of the cave.
It was not a large cave by any means necessary. As she crawled into the cave, she ignored the unholy amounts of pain crawling through her body. Although most of her body parts were broken and damaged, her will remained unbroken; she lacked a mortal soul but she wouldn't let THAT stop her from reaching the end.
Fighting to stay awake now, she reached the end of the cave. Far enough from the mouth so that she would be able to hide well.
Scenes flashed in her vision from the scene of her playing a game called "tag" with Rose and Autumn, to a night months ago where they watched a "movie" about space where humans made massive "spaceships" and during a battle one ship was heavily damaged with lots of "critical damage warnings" going on.
Now she figured that would be her case if she was a machine.
Then she remembered charging through her father's legions, fighting Akure, and the other generals. She wondered where Mogurs skull had ended up and if it was a realm she hadn't been to and didn't recognize either.
All this flashed through her eyes as she propped herself up in a small hole, hidden by some rocks and with enough space for her to lay full out or lean against the rock side.
Leaning against the rock side, a very rare show of true emotion a tear trickled down her cheek.
"Autumn..mother..my true father..I'm sorry if I failed you...but he is gone..the one who...-gack-!" She coughed up some blood.
"You have not failed Frost," said a soft light voice suddenly.
Frost could hardly move as a bright golden light appeared in front of her and three figures shone in the light.
Though the light was blinding she managed to see who they were and who that little girl was.
"We are grateful for your sacrifice Frost and we are at peace. Please do not worry about us..our souls are safe," said the girl with her usual cheerful smile.
Before Frost could speak another familiar voice spoke.
"You've done admirably young one but now you must rest..and allow yourself to heal for the next major event, " said the god of the abyss as he appeared beside the family who slowly vanished.
"w...what-?" She slowly asked.
"In an unknown period of time, you will be sought out by one that walks the realms...and you will find yourself with allies you never dreamed of having and perhaps allow them into your wounded heart..it will be the only way for you to forgive yourself," he said in a surprisingly gentle voice.
Frost merely nodded and her message shown in her eyes *" but...who?"* she asked.
He seemed to read her thoughts and said, "the fates have forbidden me from speaking her and her friend's name but when the time comes...remember me and do not despair," he said as he began to hover into the air and then added, "Until we meet again.." and vanished into smoke.
"Until we...until..we..meet again, " she said the last few words slipping out of her as she began to fall asleep.
Years passed and during this time, legends had formed about her, a great spirit of winter who helped the poor and rid the village of a tyrant.
Back in the human world, where she once lived, conspiracy theorists went nuts as the video of her killing her father's spy went viral.
But she wouldn't realize this till years later and nor would she even care.
An unprecedented amount of time later she finally awoke.
Groaning, she sat up and looked herself over.
All wounds that once showed a massive battle were gone and her thoughts were clear.
With this, she knew she was at full strength. She probably had been for decades but she had just remained asleep since then.
She stood up shakily not from pain but just from mere sleepiness.
She wondered that if she was fine and nothing could disturb her, why did she wake up all of a sudden?
Suddenly she picked up two auras near her. It was a distance of about five hundred meters or something of that short but they were..odd and not normal auras and for some reason,, the second one repulsed her.
Readying herself, she latched onto the already blowing snowstorm and increased its energy tenfold.
She would prove that she was still the alpha and the omega when it came to ice magic.
She felt one of the two stray from where they appeared and tried to slow down her storm.
She wouldn't allow that, but she realized she had bigger problems as the first aura suddenly appeared very close to the foot of the cave.
Summoning a lair of ice crossbows already, loaded with ice arrows and aiming them both at the foot of the cave and waited to see who was headed to meet her.
After a few more moments a very tall figure walked out of the storm she was tall and more skinny and lanky at least that's what Frost thought.
But to her, the biggest thing about this stranger was the outfit she wore.
A mixture of metal plates and leather straps were clad around her as her knight-like helmet focused on her.
"Calm yourself...I'm not here to fight you," she said smoothly
A strange feeling washed over her. It felt reassuring but at the same time, she didn't like it.
Regardless she slowly lowered her crossbows and said, "Why are you here and what do you want?" She asked dismissing them.
"Oh, I just wanna have a nice little chat...I've got a deal for you," she said in that same smooth voice.
"What kind of deal?" She asked.
"Lemme just say it will be revealed in time," the figure stated
"Tell me quickly or I will not hesitate to freeze you and send your essence down to Hell," she stated still on guard
The figure merely chuckled and said, "without a doubt, you could fear Frost"
Frost tilted her head and asked, "how do you know my name?"
The figure chuckled, "I've been watching you for years and I had to wait for the perfect time to pay you a visit."
Frost narrowed her eyes, "So who are you?"
"Just an admirer of yours. I've heard the tales of your abilities your ice magic is nearly unmatched even to this day," she replied
Frost remained unmoved.
"You wake me up from my rest to tell me that?" She asked.
The figure softly laughed, "oh heavens no we still have a business to attend to."
The figure sat down cross-legged in front of her as Frost looked down.
"Oh, please. I mean you no harm please sit and then we'll talk," she said smoothly.
Frost sighed and sat down crossing her arms and asked, "Alright what is it?"
"I'm bringing together some...extraordinary beings to combat what is very likely the greatest threat the realms have ever known, " She explained.
Frost suddenly got a rush of memories.
She remembered multiple beings telling her that a greater threat was to come could this be it?
"...alright I'm listening..but since you know my name, tell me yours or this could go cold for you," she stated again.
The figure chuckled and said,"I am known as many names and my name..-
- is Revelic"
(ANDDDDDDDD that concludes her backstory. Hope you enjoyed Frosts story lol.)
(Some facts about the story)
(1. Frost and Firefly were originally meant to be a confirmed ship but after a period of time I started itching more towards the rivalry aspect that the two had)
(2. Both Frost and Firefly are Bi)
(3. Vivtullus is the name of a real demon from I think Christian folklore I wanted smth that sounded like it belonged to a massive being but not an outright evil being)
(4. Azeckle is the abyss you would see in Hell and in between the realms in a physical manifestation thus why he knew so much about everything and that alone says on what kinda powers he will possess and his sheer strength level)
(5. Ngl some parts of this story give me Spawn vibes (he is a marvel character who had his own run in with heaven and Hell if anyone knows him that is))
(6. I do not own Revelic that character goes to my dear friend Mingan_369
(7. Just very recently I creates another third demon for Firefly and Frost but I have yet to give her a name and she does not appear in this story as it was just for fun regardless she is a wind demon who hates the two believing that they instead of saving the balance they cause
