Sloane Hastings wasn't one to stress over in panning out the entirety of her future. Times were different to even compare when you're supposed to get married, have kids, or the two-story house with the white picketed fence. She was fortunate to have mothers who never installed so much pressure upon her shoulders growing up. 

When she started at Briar University, she least expected to entangle herself with John Logan. Overtime their friendship evolved into a relationship. Everything felt in place like pieces of a puzzle connected together. Sloane found herself content in picturing a future with him. Logan felt the same way with Sloane. 

However, it can all change within a day after Logan broke up with her. She was caught off guard. More specifically, when he said he couldn't have anymore distractions. She was defined as a distraction to his future. Deep down she knew that he didn't mean it. She searched in his eyes merely pleading to say that wasn't what his heart wanted. 

At the end of the day, she accepted that he needed to focus in getting drafted in the NHL. 

Grieving over the relationship the first two months was rough for Sloane. Of course, being dragged out to a themed masked party at the hockey house deemed the greatest idea. Between the pregaming and drinking at the party itself. Sloane really believed that she'd be able to avoid him. Considering they were out of each other's sight since that day. 

That night they found each other again due to the newfound confidence courtesy of the alcohol. They took advantage in that moment to which led them in his bedroom. 

A small itch to scratch off. 

Perhaps, closure. 

Except Sloane finds herself startled by two lines appearing on a pregnancy test.
