•Ch. 1• {Daylight}

Life is quite exciting at times, it brings many joys and may tears. Though it may also bring along the chilling nightmares that one hides.

In this world where you may reach the oceans, the golden desserts, mountains that freeze the souls for whoever tries, and the echoes of the woods is one of those things that people grow interested in. Yet also myths may be told as well. Explorers find their tracks to come to an end while other may not even see the broad of daylight ever again. It's a lively yet chilling experience if not careful or even informed.

Yet even so, today was something much more different. The time of harvest was upon the peaceful yet lively town of Alteria, the home of unity.

Decorations were hung as the townspeople would simply take a stroll to see the many familiar things that other would do. This would include those who worked in jobs such as the woodcutters who chopped down as many trees to help out the fellow carpenters who created elegant architectures for this season.

The miners would bring in the shimmering gems and ores while the blacksmiths would put all their heart and soul into their work. Everything was seemingly going to plan because everyone had a role.

Every injured person would get healed, and shopkeepers would happily accept the items from the tailors and archers alike. The protection of the town was quite amazing as well, considering that both paladins and mercenaries would team up once and a while to fend of any harmful creatures.

Though not everyone gets jobs like these that were mentioned, in fact. It takes skill and immense amount of effort to reach these goals. Everyone who achieves this will grow greatful for their hard work.

Which leads us to the ordinary male who was on his bed, sleeping in as he would snuggle onto the green bedsheets. The birds chirping at the side of his window while the wind would gently blow as the sweet scent of freshly baked cookies could be noticed from afar.

Yet even so, this was until a knock could be heard from the door.

"Excuse me? Sir, I have a letter from the King himself."

No anwser.

"Sir?"

The mailman could just only sigh before knocking once more. Yet to only see that there was still no response, so he had decided slide the mail through the door before heading off to his next destination. He couldn't simply waste his time like this after all.

Minutes had passed and the once sleeping albino had then been awaken from the calling of his name, but not in a gentler manner. More like a yelling one from a visible male from below the window.

"Mafu-kun! Mafu-kun!" They called, continuing the clap his hands, trying his best to wake the other up.

Yet not wanting to hear it anymore, the sleepy male could slowly get up from his bed as he walked over towards the window. "Y-Yes...? Good morning-?" He said before letting out a little yawn before seeing who it was.

"Oh... Ohayou, Sou-kun."

The male could simply let out a sigh before facing his friend once more, "Morning Mafu-kun, I came by to tell you about the mailman that passed by. Besides, isn't today the day you finally become a mage?" He asked, smiling before Mafumafu had his panicked expression.

"I-I'm surely going to be late...!" He cried, closing the window quickly before looking through his closet as he began to get dressed. One must not look bad near the kind himself after all.

Though Mafumafu didin't really have much aside from the regular plain shirts and blouses that he had. Along with a few normal looking pants. Yet even so, he wanted to look his best either way.

Once he did find something, he went towards the mirror as he began to view his appearance, "Ah... This should do, right?" He asked, knowing that it was himself but he did admit. This was the nicest that he's dressed. Usually he'd wear a simple long white shirt and a pair of blue pants.

Though this time he was now wearing a white blouse underneath the red burgundy straps of his suspenders outfit. He had also hung the small black chain on the side of his belt, holding to what seemed to be a ruby colored like gem. He then smiled at his appearance, clearly satisfied from his look.

Now knowing that he was ready to meet the King himself, Mafumafu had then made his way out the door. Seeing his two friends who were waiting go him to come out.

It was two males, both of which were blonde yet one of them had its shade a little darker than the other. The also held their pare of blue eyes.

Yet they were still recognizable for their outfits and their occupation.

"Ready to go?" The mushroom haired male asked, fixing his collar of the medium sized jacket he was wearing. His white ruffled cuffs that had stuck out from the sleeves of his jacket as the bow around the collar of the white blouse was shown. Yet the fashion of the friend was quite classy of its own manner. Giving out the vibe of uniqueness of his appearance well.

"Mhm! I'm ready now!" Mafumafu replied, waking towards them before the other beside him with the black vest would smile, "You know... You could've asked me if you needed something more fancy Mafu-kun. I could always make you an outfit if you'd like." Sou said, eyeing the albino's outfit.

"I know... but Sou-kun, don't you already have enough work? I mean, you're already creating costumes for Eve-kun."

"It's fine, it's fine! Besides, I'm always open to help you and Eve-san." The blonde replied, proudly fixing his vest as he walked. Though unlike Eve, the blue-eyed male had his sleeves rolled up yet not too high. He also had the small pocket watch on the side of his pants and as well as having a noticble band that held the needles attached. The pencil on his left ear was quite noticeable as well, showing that Sou was ready for anything really.

"Ah, we should make our way over here. There's less people on the side of town here." Sou explained, leading his two trusted friends together towards the castle. Yet the decorations around them was once again, almost breathtaking since everything so far had looked so amazing. The season of harvesting clearly had the townspeople in a good mood after all.

Yet even so, the more they had walked, the visible elegant structure of the front gates of the castle was in sight. It was time for the albino to finally step inside and get his title as mage.

Looking up, Eve smiled gently before patting the albino's back, "Well... Here we are. We both wish you the best of luck, Mafu-kun."

Though even doing hearing this, Mafumafu could simply hug his two friends tightly. "Thank you, seriously thank you! Thanks to you guys, I was also able to make it this far." He responded, greatful for the support he was given through his years of trying to study the best he could.

Mafumafu had tried studying from many books and even tried analyzing his surroundings and movements of many mages that had passed by town. Those who preformed classes and such would ways make the male smile. He was eager to learn and now here he stood, in front of the castle gates to make his dream become a reality.

He then took the first few steps before looking at his two successful friends, waving them a good-bye. "I'll see you guys later!" He said, having his eyes lit up from excitement. Though of course this pleased the two blondes as they returned the wave. Now leaving the other to finally enter the palace himself.

It was almost as if this were a dream. The palace had seemed so clean from the outside, though when he made it towards the entrance of it. The gates had opened, revealing the gaurds in front it it.

"Are you perhaps Mafumafu by any chance?" The gaurd asked, giving the albino a stern look before the other would simply respond with a nod.

"I am! Here's letter that was sent to me." He said, pulling out the white envelope as he handed it to the gaurd. The man would only nod in understandment before looking back at the other gaurds behind him, "Let him pass."

They did of what they were asked to do, now moving aside as they had allowed the ruby-eyed male to proceed.

Mafumafu began to smile, thanking them before walking in. Because now there was no way to turn back. He was now waking inside the long halls that had white walls and golden linings on a few spots. Complimenting the royal blue colored carpet and other colored items that were around.

Yet even so from just looking at the elegant surroundings, the albino was now reaching the throne room. The room on where he will receive his title.

Slowly taking his steps, he hoped that he looked acceptable to be in front of the king himself. Though once he made it, he soon saw the two royal family members who were waiting, along with a white knight by their side.

"Took you long enough, though I'm sure you're quite nervous. It's your first time as well being inside the castle as well after all, so I shall let it slide." The king said, giving a gentle smile towards the male in front of him.

The king had a blue cape with a white formal outfit with the same familiar golden linings around the cuffs of his formal wear. His eyes were a shade of violet while his strands of hair were a raven tinted color.

As for the queen beside him, she wore the same except with her black hair tied up and with the frills of her dress. She had a pair of sapphire colored eyes as she gave Mafumafu a sweet smile.

The albino could simply bow as he smiled, "Thank you your highness for allowing me to see you today!" He said in a slightly shaky tone. He was excited yet now he was more nervous than ever. He himself honestly couldn't help but simply feel this way.

Yet the king himself could only notice before standing up from his throne. Before he walked over towards the albino though, he turned to his knight as he questioned, "Where's Soraru?" He asked, clearly a little suspicious. Yet even so, his wife could only remind him of their current visitor.

"Ah, of course, of course."

Turning away he sighed before looking back at Mafumafu, "I'm sorry. It's just that it seems my son isn't here to watch another citizen earn their title today." He explained before having his gentle smile once more. He then went over as he held a wooden staff with a blue stone engraved into it.

"On this day, we have a new talented soul upon us. Someone who's worked hard to get where they are now. Mafumafu, today you are forever chosen to become a former beginning mage. We wish you the best of luck in this life of yours."

"Please make yourself proud."

Hello everyone! It's me Mellow and I think I might have a bit to explain here ww

First off, if anyone had read Visiting Repentance, I had unpublished it for several reasons due to the fact that it was unplanned and was just out there published. I really felt bad that the story felt more neglected than ever, and so I decided to unpublish it.

I'm sorry for doing so but maybe in the future I can improve it and make it more interesting and actually planned out.

As for this story on the other hand, if you noticed the Chapter's title, it says Daylight. This is just a song from the producer Tatsh. I decided to organize chapters by using songs due to what I've came up with while planning the story for the past and almost two months.

The world of Alteria is simply just a world that I created ever since I listened to more instrumental music and songs from producers such as M2U, Sakuzyo, and Nicode. There will be perhaps more but as far from this, there's more.

I decided to create some little drawings of moments that will happen in each song section. Meaning I actually had to design the outfits that I have for the Utaites in the story. Thanks to the help of my dear older brother who has better fashion sense than I do www

Anyways, that's it for now! I will be continuing normally now. Especially since school work had finally calmed down for me. I recharged and planned out a few chapters earlier for the stories. (Though there's one that needs more fixing ww)

Like always though, please stay safe and I'll see you on the following new chapters to come!
