Boromir
Your POV:
The next morning, I change back into my fighting clothes that I always wear and quickly go back to the Fellowship that is ready to leave. I get into a boat with Legolas and Gimli, we are all silent as we leave. I think back to what happened earlier.
-Flashback-
Galadriel- Farewell, Frodo Baggins. I give you the light of Earendil, our most beloved star. May it be a light for you in dark places when all other lights go out.
-End of flashback-
I look at the water as I suddenly feel kind of sad, remembering the last time I was on a boat. Bard was a great friend. I suddenly get out my sword, a bad feeling in the back of my mind. It seems that my reaction only worries the others more as they also feel that something is wrong. That's when I remember.
(Y/N)- Boromir.
Legolas and Gimli look at me slightly confused but I don't say anything, only shaking my head with a sigh before putting my sword back.
(Y/N)- Stupid orcs.
A while later, we are still in boats as we glide down the river. I look up and finally see the statues that I have dreamt of seeing in real life when I was watching the movies.
(Y/N)/Aragorn- The Argonath.
My eyes are shining brightly as I look at the majestic statues. We all stare in awe at their beauty as we pass them. We reach the ground and I jump out of the boat, stretching with a yawn. I suddenly get uncomfortable as I remember what will happen. I have to save him, I can't let him die too.
Aragorn- We cross the lake at nightfall. Hide the boats and continue on foot.
I do not listen to the rest as I climb into a tree, which confuses the hobbits, and jump from tree to tree, looking for Frodo and Boromir.
Boromir- None of us should wander alone. You, least of all.
There they are. I jump on the ground without any sound, sneaking closer to them so I can react in time.
Boromir- So much depends on you. Frodo?
I have to say that the hobbit is not good at hiding his dislike of the human. Even Bilbo is better than him. What an idjit.
Boromir- I know why you seek solitude. You suffer. I see it day by day. You sure you do not suffer needlessly? There are other ways, Frodo. Other paths that we might take.
Should I act now or no? I don't know what to do. Should I even do anything at all? Of course, I should. I cannot let him die. It is only the Ring that makes him act this way.
Frodo- I know what you would say. It would seem like wisdom but for the warning in my heart.
Boromir- Warning? Against what? We're all afraid, Frodo. But to let that fear drive us to destroy what hope we have, don't you see that is madness?
Frodo- There is no other way.
Okay, I can't take this anymore. I run in between them and raise my arms to keep them from walking closer.
(Y/N)- Both of you, stop. Don't you see that this is what it wants? It is dividing us, making us weak to its temptations. You must resist.
Boromir seems to turn back into himself and I sigh in relief. Frodo seems scared while Boromir looks at me with worry and fear. I do not think about it and hug him, trying to calm him down. As a human, it is logical that it got to him first, but I cannot let this make me think of him as a lesser being. It's not his fault. I feel him hug me back as he tries not to cry and I smile softly. I nod at Frodo for him to leave and he does so.
Boromir- What have I done?
His voice is shaking and I realize at that moment how much he must have suffered. How could I even think of not saving him? I am worrying too much, it is getting to my head.
(Y/N)- You'll be alright, Boromir. I promise.
He seems to calm down after a while so I let go of the hug and smile at him softly. He opens his mouth to say something but I sense that the orcs are close.
(Y/N)- They're here...
Boromir- Who?
(Y/N)- The orcs. Stay close, we have to go back to the others.
He nods and we both get out our swords before running to find our friends. As we run, we see orcs and nod at each other before jumping into the fight, stabbing orcs.
(Y/N)- They're everywhere!
I then spot Merry and Pippin. I look at Boromir who also spotted them and we both give each other a look before running to where they are. Richt as they are being surrounded, we run in and start stabbing orcs. Then, Boromir uses the horn of Gondor and we continue to fight.
(Y/N)- I have to save him...
As I spot the orc with the bow, I know what I have to do. Ignoring the hobbits' screams for me to come back, I run into the horde of orcs while transforming into my wolf form. I jump around killing orcs but there is one thing on my mind. I need to kill that orc. Right as it is about to let go of the arrow, I jump on it, making the arrow go into Boromir's shoulder instead. I go in a blind rage.
Orc- Arrrgh!
We fight for I don't know how long. I can feel my blood on my fur and we both hurt each other. I growl darkly as we fight while it screams. Others come and start to attack me, I am outnumbered. There are so many, I can't even count them. They hold me down while I growl. The one that shot Boromir walks towards me and prepares to stab me in the neck when, suddenly, Aragorn comes in and jumps on it. They start fighting and I try to get the other orcs off me but they keep their hold. Then, as I am about to give up, I feel them being thrown off me. I finally get up, still in my wolf form, and see Legolas and Gimli. The last thing I hear is someone screaming my name before everything goes black.
