"Come on guys, we gotta do something besides laying in the grass and talking." William stated boredly while picking at the grass.

"As I said before, we should play Dare again!" Kayla angrily screamed.

"There is no way I'm playing that with you again." Kyle monotonously stated.

"I have to agree with Kyle for once, your dares are always too intense." Max quietly muttered to himself.

"You guys are just pussies." William nonchalantly stated.

"No you're both just competitive dicks." Kyle quietly grumbled.

"At least I have a dick." William quickly replied.

"I HAVE A FUCKING DICK AND IT'S BIGGER THAN THAT LIMP SHRIMP BETWEEN YOUR LEGS!!" Kyle angrily snapped back.

"Guys we all know who has the biggest dick here..." Kayla interjected with a sly grin plastered to her face.

We all looked at her, our faces full of confusion. Kyle looked irritated as always.

"Wh-who?" Max timidly asked

She looked at Max dead in the eyes with a deadpan look across her face.

She leaned in closer to Max softly uttering,"Do you really want to know?"

"Uhhh....y-yeah I guess..." He had a look of pure terror on his face.

She then got really close to his ear and screamed,"IT'S ME BITCH!"

Kyle then collapsed onto the floor laughing while Max crumbled to the floor clutching his ear in pain.

"AAAAAAAAAAUUUUGHHHHH!! YOU BITCH! YOU FUCKING CUCKBAG!! DO YOU REALIZE HOW LOUD YOU CAN BE!!" Max was lying on the ground on the verge of tears,"DID YOU FUCKING FORGET ABOUT MY FUCKING HEARING AID YOU DUMB CUNTSACK!!"

Kyle coldly stated, "Max get up. You're clearly faking it."

Max only responded by looking at us with a look of pure pain and agony on his face.

"DUDE! He's not faking it!" I angrily and frantically replied.

Kayla and I ran over to him to help him up.

"Dude what the hell! How could you forget about his bad ear!"

Kayla reached her arm to help Max up but he just coldly slapped it away.

"Don't touch me!" He coldly snarled at her,"You HAD to scream in my ear didn't you? You couldn't just tell in anyone else's ear could ya?"

"I'm sorry alright? I just got caught up in the joke..." Kayla guiltily replied

I whispered to Kayla," Just give him some time dude, he'll forgive you eventually. I think it would be best if you went home though, it's getting kinda late."

She nodded in agreement before turning around to walk home.

"I don't think she meant to do that on purpose. She seemed to regret her decision.

Max softly whimpered out,"Yeah I know. I was just overreacting. Could you do me a solid and carry me to make it seem like it hurt more than it did?"

I let out an exasperated sigh before tiredly whispering,"Fine. But you owe me a solid."

I lifted his left arm over my shoulder and started to walk him home.

William quickly hissed, "Kyle, could you stop being a dense sack of lard for one second and see that he's actually in pain?!" Before walking over to where Max and I were slowly limping away.

"Come on, he's obviously faking it." Kyle protested as he started to stand up,"Right Kay?"

She just gave Kyle an aggresive stare before she quickened her pace.William glared at Kyle before picking Max up bridal style.

"Hey guys hold on a sec."

"Fine but hurry up. This bitch is heavy."

"Well fuck you too."

I quickly walked over to Kyle and put my hand on his shoulder.

"Dude, it might be in your best interest to get home. It's getting kinda late and I'd hate to find you with a knife in your back just because you stayed here much later than the rest of us."

Kyle quietly croaked,"Thanks dude..."

"I'm sorry, what?" I asked with my voice full of concern.

"I said thank you. You're the only person in our friend group who seems to actually care about me."

"Dude, stop acting like this. We all care about yo-"

"You're the only person in our group who shows that he cares. Everyone else sees me as the grumpy douche of the group."

"I think everyone just thinks you're stressed about finals right now. Don't worry too much about it. They'll eventually show you that they care. I think they're just afraid that you'll snap at them right now. You'll see, once finals are over, they'll be more willing to talk to you."

"Thanks again Jeremy, you always know what to say to get me to feel slightly better."

A faint line of tears shone against his face as a faint smile creeped it's way onto his face.

"You're welcome. I know you've been going through a lot of shit. Just know I'm always a phone call away if you need someone to talk to."

"I know man."

He quickly checked his watch

April 26 8:43PM

"Shit. I've gotta go. Don't wanna be found with a knife in my back right?" He jokingly asked.

"Totally."

He started walking off toward his house and I started walking back to Max and William; who looked like he was starting to struggle with keeping Max off of the ground.

"Hey Will?"

"Yeah, Jeremy?"

"You know he's faking this right?"

William then dropped Max onto the sidewalk.

"GAH!" Max quickly yelped,"Why did you drop me?!"

"You're really asking that?" William questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes. Yes I am." Max slowly replied.

"He said you're faking it. That means you can walk on your own." William matter-of-factly stated.

"That doesn't mean I want to." Max jokingly whined.

"Get up dude." I chucked out before reaching a hand out to help him up.

He firmly grasped my hand, looked me in the eyes, and evilly muttered,"Omae Wa Mou Shindeiru."

"NANI!!!!"

I was quickly pulled to the ground by the force of a dude who's been alone for too long.

"Aeeei!" I quickly yelped as I was pulled down.

We both looked at each other before bursting into a fit of giggles. William just looked at us with a small smile while he held his hands out to help us up. We gladly accepted his hands and continued our walk to Max's house.

"So why were you talking to Kyle for so long?" Max questioned.

"He's a great guy when you get past his tough shell." I replied in a spaced out way.

"Okay, what are you thinking about?" William asked me as we got close to Max's and William's apartment building.

"I just fell back into the mental hole of mortality and the afterlife again."

"Okay. Well we've gotta get inside." William tiredly responded.

"Yeah, see you at school tomorrow

They both entered the building leaving me to walk home alone with my thoughts being my only company. As I walked, I couldn't help but feel like someone or something was watching me, but I always feel like that whenever I'm left alone. I think it's because I spend too much time around my paranoid grandpa. He does give great advice though, and it has really helped me in school. For example, he said that it's better to do the math by hand than to have a calculator do it for you, because you get to see how it's done and you get to see your mistakes. This little piece of advice actually helped me show the teachers that I did my own work instead of copying off of someone else, which in turn helped me get on their good side. And let me tell you, there is nothing better tha-

'Thud'

"Shit, I guess we're here."

I reached my hand into my pocket only to feel the egg from before.

"Why did you pick up a raw egg? That shit's probably bad by now."

I gently placed the egg in the trash bin outside, so that I couldn't accidentally confirm my suspicions to the neighbors. I walked back to my door, quickly unlocking it and rushing inside. I latched the door, hung my jacket on the rack, and firefly stumbled towards my room.

"MEEEAAHHH!!"

"C'mere Puff." I tiredly slurred as I scooped him up into my arms to continue my long journey to salvation.

I managed to get to the goal of my long journey quickly. I had managed to make to my bed without a stubbed toe. I slowly placed Puff on the bed before passing out due to tiredness. The last thought that went through my mind before sleep pulled me down once again was,'i hope past me didn't turn off my alarm.'

Holy hell that took longer than it should have. I'm sorry for the long wait, I'm kind of focusing on finals right now and have had little time to write, therefore making me take super long to finish this. It's probably gonna be awhile before the next chapter because I'm fresh out of ideas right now. Well, time to bid thee aideu for now, I'll see you guys in the next chapter.
