Chapter 3
A month had passed since the revelation. The hidden city was quieter now in the mornings, as the Omegas adjusted to the strange new rhythms of their lives. Each of them woke to bodies that felt unfamiliar, instincts whispering, subtle aches reminding them that life had already changed in ways they hadn't yet fully understood.
Ciel Phantomhive shuffled toward the dining hall one morning, still half-asleep, only to freeze at the smell of cinnamon and roasted apples. "I... I want pancakes," he whispered to no one in particular. The craving had hit him hard, insistent. His hand instinctively rested on his stomach. Sebastian, who had been reviewing the day's training schedule, glanced up from his clipboard, eyes narrowing with concern. "Pancakes, at this hour?" he asked. His tone was calm, but Ciel could hear the underlying alpha instinct kicking in, sharp and protective.
"I... yes," Ciel admitted, cheeks flushed. "And... maybe maple syrup... a lot of it."
Sebastian's lips twitched with the faintest smile, one that Ciel hadn't seen in weeks. "Very well. I will ensure you are properly nourished." He stood, towering over the Omega with reassuring warmth, and together they walked toward the kitchen, the morning light catching in Sebastian's hair. Ciel felt strangely comforted, the pangs of nausea settling into a rhythm he could tolerate with Sebastian's presence nearby.
Across the city, Ichigo Kurosaki leaned against the wall of the common courtyard, stomach rolling as he tried to hide a sudden wave of nausea. Byakuya approached silently, his steps measured and precise, as always. "Ichigo," he said calmly, voice carrying both authority and a quiet care, "are you feeling ill?"
"I... I think so," Ichigo admitted, pressing his hand to his stomach. "And... and I'm craving oranges. Only oranges."
Byakuya raised an eyebrow, clearly unconcerned by the specificity of the craving, though his alpha instincts surged internally. "Very well. I shall procure them immediately." He bent to brush a gentle hand over Ichigo's shoulder, grounding him. "You are safe. We will ensure your health is monitored."
Meanwhile, Kakarot Son stumbled into the training grounds, waving a hand in front of his face as a queasy wave passed over him. "Vegeta... I... I feel weird, and craving crab," he muttered, voice trembling slightly.
Vegeta's arms crossed over his chest, eyes narrowing with an unreadable expression. Then, with a sigh, he approached, hands landing lightly on Kakarot's shoulders. "It's natural," Vegeta said, voice low. "Your body is changing. You are... carrying life, you're supposed to want that."
Kakarot's mouth fell open. "Oh yeah?" His voice was a mixture of shock, awe, and fear.
Vegeta smirked, the corner of his lips quirking upward. "Yes. And we will face it together."
Tanjiro Kamado's day had begun with a craving for sweet red bean paste and green tea. His hand hovered over his stomach as he tried to steady himself, swaying slightly. Rengoku Kyōjurō appeared in a flash of light, golden hair catching the sun.
"Tanjiro!" he exclaimed, noticing the slight tremor in his mate. "What is it?"
"I... I can't... I need... something sweet," Tanjiro admitted, cheeks red with embarrassment. "And... I feel... weak."
Rengoku's smile softened immediately. "Then you shall have it. And you shall rest, always with me by your side." He guided Tanjiro to the kitchen, the warmth of his aura calming the Omega's nausea.
Lucy Heartfilia clutched a mug of hot cocoa, her twin brothers unaware of the sudden wave of dizziness that made her slump into Natsu Dragneel's arms.
"Lucy?" Natsu asked, steadying her immediately. "You okay?"
"I... I feel... strange. And I... I want strawberries. And chocolate," she admitted, voice trembling with both embarrassment and awe at the intensity of her cravings.
Natsu grinned, brushing a stray hair behind her ear. "Then strawberries and chocolate you shall have. You're safe with me."
Gon Freecss and Killua Zoldyck had been sparring when Gon suddenly dropped his practice sword, feeling a wave of nausea that left him dizzy. Killua immediately caught him, steadying the young Omega.
"You okay?" Killua asked, frowning.
"I... I need... I don't know... ice cream... and peaches," Gon muttered.
Killua smirked, shaking his head. "Figures." He guided Gon toward the kitchen, instincts flaring as he assessed his mate's condition. "We'll get you through this. Together."
Danny Phantom felt strange as he floated through the halls, half of him flickering and shifting unnaturally. Elias Nocturne appeared beside him instantly, hands resting on his shoulders.
"Danny," Elias said, voice calm and commanding, "you're trembling. Talk to me."
"I... I think... I want apple pie with fudge ice cream." Danny whispered.
Elias's amber eyes widened slightly, then softened. "Hm? That's all? I will get them for you."
Gozu, quietly observing the city from a balcony, felt a pang of nausea and an unusual craving for roasted chestnuts. Evelogia, ever watchful, appeared beside him.
"Gozu," she asked, voice soft, "you seem... uneasy."
"I... I feel strange... and... I want chestnuts," he admitted.
Evelogia smiled faintly, brushing his hand over his own. "Then chestnuts you shall have. You are safe. And together we will protect what is inside you."
Inuyasha sat quietly with Sesshomaru, hand resting lightly on his own stomach as a wave of dizziness passed. Sesshomaru's expression softened as he assessed his mate.
"You are... uneasy," Sesshomaru said, voice low.
"Yes... I feel... full of something I don't understand," Inuyasha admitted.
Sesshomaru's hand brushed over his mate's, grounding him. "Then let me be your strength. Together we face all."
Izuku clutched Katsuki's arm, trembling from both nausea and the surge of hormones overwhelming his body.
"I... I feel... wrong," he whispered.
"Wrong?" Katsuki's voice softened, a rare gentleness in his tone. "You're not wrong. You're carrying life. And I've got you. Every step of the way."
Ashura leaned against Paul, unable to focus as a craving for blueberries overtook him.
"You okay?" Paul asked, steadying his mate.
"I... I feel... weird," Ashura admitted. "And... I want blueberries."
Paul chuckled, brushing his hand along his mate's back. "Then blueberries. And me. Always me. You're safe."
Yugi Mutou clutched Atem's hand, trying to suppress the nausea overtaking him.
"It's... overwhelming," he whispered.
"Then lean on me," Atem said, tightening their fingers together.
Sonic felt a sudden wave of dizziness as Shadow approached.
"You okay, Sonic?" Shadow asked.
"I... weird... and... need chili dogs," Sonic muttered.
Shadow smirked faintly. "Then chili dogs it is."
At two months, the children were taken for their first thorough check-ups. The clinic, part of the hidden city, was modern, calm, and staffed by specialists who understood the nuances of their unique physiology.
Doctor Shinohara, a tall man with glasses, looked gravely at the monitors. "You're all carrying twins," he said, eyes scanning the readings. "This is rare, but your physiology... is remarkable. Each pregnancy is healthy."
Gasps and murmurs rippled through the room. Kakarot's eyes went wide. "Twins?" he breathed.
"Yes," Vegeta replied softly, resting a hand on his mate's shoulder. "Twins."
Ciel's hand clenched instinctively. "Two?"
Sebastian nodded, lips pressing together. "Yes. Two. And we will ensure your safety, always."
The room buzzed with quiet awe, Alphas and Omegas alike absorbing the weight of the news.
The news could not be contained. Parents arrived within days, summoned by the commissioner. Each approached their child, absorbing the news with a mixture of pride, concern, and wonder.
"I... twins?" Lucy's mother asked softly, eyes wide.
"Yes," Natsu replied. "Twins."
Byakuya's calm presence allowed Ichigo to relax, while Sebastian guided Ciel gently as his parents smiled through tears.
Shota knelt beside Izuku, comforting both him and Katsuki. "You're safe, and we're here. Always."
The families began discussing names, preparations, and celebrations. Humor and warmth filled the city as the reality sank in.
The courtyard shimmered under the afternoon sun, lanterns swaying gently in the breeze, casting playful patterns on the polished stones. Their entire hidden city of Ecliptara had gathered for the celebration, the scent of flowers and sweet pastries mingling in the air. Alphas, Omegas, families, and friends alike formed a wide circle around the central stage where each pair would step forward to reveal the gender of their twins.
Ciel and Sebastian were first. Ciel's hands trembled slightly as Sebastian gently rested his hand on the small curve of his mate's stomach, grounding him. Sebastian's voice carried quietly but firmly over the murmuring crowd.
"Ciel... shall we?" he asked, leaning close.
Ciel nodded, swallowing hard. "Yes... let's."
Sebastian lifted the silken cloth covering the display tray, and the balloons inside—two in delicate pink and two in soft blue—tumbled into the air. Gasps and cheers erupted instantly. One blue and one pink balloon floated upward for each twin, confirming that Ciel and Sebastian would welcome one boy and one girl. Ciel's cheeks burned, a mixture of relief and awe, while Sebastian's amber eyes glimmered with pride.
Byakuya and Ichigo followed next. Ichigo gripped Byakuya's hand tightly, nerves fluttering in his chest. Byakuya's calm presence steadied him, their intertwined fingers a silent promise. With a subtle nod, Byakuya lifted the cloth to reveal two pink balloons and two blue—a boy and a boy. The crowd erupted with a mixture of applause and laughter, while Ichigo's smile, shy and small, couldn't hide the joy in his eyes.
Kakarot's turn came, and he bounced anxiously on the balls of his feet. Vegeta's hand landed firmly on his shoulder, steadying him. With a flourish, Vegeta unveiled the balloons—two boys. Kakarot blinked, then let out a triumphant laugh. Vegeta's smirk softened just slightly as he nodded in approval. "Strong and fierce," he murmured, almost to himself.
Next, Tanjiro and Rengoku stepped forward. Tanjiro's hands shook as he looked up at Rengoku, whose golden eyes shone warmly. Rengoku's confident voice reassured him, "Whatever comes, Tanjiro, we face it together." He lifted the cloth, revealing one blue balloon and one pink—a boy and a girl. Tanjiro exhaled, relief washing over him, and Rengoku pulled him into a tight embrace.
Daniel, still flickering faintly in his half-ghost form, floated nervously beside Elias. Elias's strong presence was grounding, his amber eyes fixed on Daniel. "Ready?" Elias asked, voice steady. Daniel nodded. Elias lifted the veil, and two balloons drifted skyward—one girl, one boy. Daniel's mouth opened, then curled into a small, astonished smile. "We... we did it," he whispered.
Lucy and Natsu were next. Lucy's hand brushed against Natsu's as she stepped forward, cheeks flushed. Natsu's grin was wide and unrestrained. With a dramatic lift of the cloth, two pink balloons sailed upward—two girls. Lucy's eyes widened, and Natsu laughed heartily, tugging her into a quick hug. "Two little fiery girls," he teased, earning a soft, affectionate slap from Lucy.
Gon and Killua approached together. Killua's hand was firm on Gon's back, a steady reassurance. The cloth rose, revealing one pink and one blue balloon—a boy and a girl. Gon's wide grin lit up his face. "We... we get both?" he asked, incredulous. Killua only smirked, ruffling his hair. "Lucky us."
Evelogia and Gozu stepped forward next. Gozu's eyes darted nervously at the crowd, but Evelogia's hand was steady and warm around his. As the cloth lifted, one blue balloon and one pink balloon floated upward—a boy and a girl. Gozu blinked in surprise, then let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding. Evelogia's smile was quiet but proud.
Sesshomaru and Inuyasha's turn was calm but tense, their presence commanding the courtyard's attention. Sesshomaru's hand rested lightly on Inuyasha's back as they lifted the veil together. Two balloons—one boy and one girl—soared upward. Inuyasha's rare, soft smile appeared, and Sesshomaru's stoic expression softened imperceptibly.
Izuku and Katsuki walked up, hands linked tightly. The cloth lifted, revealing two girls. Izuku's eyes filled with wonder, while Katsuki's jaw tightened before he allowed himself a small smile. "Strong little ladies," he muttered, voice low but full of pride.
Ashura and Paul were next. Ashura's cheeks were flushed with excitement and nerves. Paul raised an eyebrow, steady as ever, and lifted the cloth. One blue and one pink balloon rose—a boy and a girl. Ashura blinked, then let out a squeal of excitement. Paul's hand squeezed his shoulder gently.
Yugi and Atem approached, Yugi's hand gripping Atem's tightly. Atem raised the veil with a gentle nod, and two balloons drifted upward—one boy and one girl. Yugi's wide smile lit his face, and Atem's calm gaze softened. "Balanced... just like you," he murmured.
Finally, Sonic and Shadow stepped forward. Sonic's grin was bright, Shadow's expression unreadable but protective. Lifting the cloth, two boys were revealed. Sonic let out a laugh, clapping his hands together. Shadow only nodded once, but the slight upturn of his mouth betrayed his pride.
The courtyard erupted in applause, laughter, and soft cheers. Parents wept quietly, hugging their Omegas and Alphas. Children jumped and squealed with excitement, some trying to chase the balloons that drifted lazily into the sky.
Sebastian wrapped his arm around Ciel, voice low and private. "One boy and one girl... perfect balance," he whispered.
Byakuya placed a gentle hand on Ichigo's shoulder. "Two strong boys. You have nothing to fear."
Vegeta ruffled Kakarot's hair, the smirk finally breaking into something warmer. "Double trouble," he muttered. Kakarot beamed, eyes shining.
The celebrations continued, laughter and quiet conversations flowing through the hidden city. Every Alpha and Omega stood close, hands intertwined, hearts beating in unison as they marveled at the new lives growing within their mates. The day was a mixture of wonder, humor, and love—a promise of families bonded, the city glowing not just from lanterns, but from the warmth of shared joy and anticipation.
