Chapter 15
The entire Divine Vanguard stepped through the U.A. gates as if they had returned from war—because they had.
Students whispered behind their hands. Teachers paused mid-step. The news of the Nabu Island attack had already circulated, though the details remained classified.
Ashura walked beside Paul, their hands interlaced. Lucy carried sleepy Tera and Kashi on her hips. Kakarot had Vegeta leaning against him, exhausted but still proud. Gon pushed Killua's hair back from his eyes when it fell over his face.
Aizawa met them at the door.
"You all did well," he said quietly. His voice was tired but proud. "You protected people. You made me proud. And..." He looked toward Eri, who clung to Izuku's pant leg. "...I've finalized the paperwork."
Eri blinked up. "Wh-What paperwork...?"
Aizawa knelt in front of her. For a moment, his scarf fluttered like a warm embrace.
"I'm adopting you," he said softly.
Eri's eyes filled instantly. "R-Really...?"
He nodded once.
"And Shinsou as well."
Shinsou—standing stiffly at the back of the group—froze. "Y... you're serious?"
Aizawa placed a hand on his shoulder.
"You're my son now. I don't say things I don't mean."
"I am his son, and he is not kidding," Izuku said.
Eri launched herself into Aizawa's arms, sobbing into his chest. Shinsou looked away, jaw trembling as he blinked hard. Aizawa pulled both his sons into a hug without hesitation.
It was the first time Shinsou allowed himself to cry in public.
The Divine Vanguard smiled quietly.
Home.
This... felt like home.
Winter melted into early spring. Snow gave way to pale sunbeams through the classroom windows.
But inside their dorm...
Vegeta thrashed awake with a strangled cry.
"KAKA—Kakarot...!"
His chest heaved. Sweat drenched his shirt. His tail curled tight around his thigh as his nails dug into his palms.
Kakarot sat up instantly, instinctive as breathing. "Again?" he whispered, pulling Vegeta toward him.
Vegeta shook, trembling harder when Kakarot wrapped his arms around him.
"It was Frieza—again—" Vegeta's voice cracked. "His laugh—Father's death—Raditz—Bardock—my planet—"
"Shhhh." Kakarot held him against his bare chest, stroking his hair slowly. "You're safe. I've got you."
Vegeta hid his face against his mate's neck, clinging with a desperation he rarely showed.
Kakarot murmured,
"We're free now... you're free. Nothing is going to take you from me."
Vegeta swallowed, voice breaking.
"...Don't let go. Not tonight."
"I won't," Kakarot whispered. "Never."
The nightmares continued for six months.
But Kakarot remained every single night.
Class 1-A sat in their seats one warm morning as Present Mic chattered about the upcoming training schedule.
Then—
A ripple.
A vibration.
A pressure that dropped the entire room's temperature instantly.
Ashura sat up straighter.
Killua's pupils narrowed, instincts roaring.
Vegeta froze completely.
No.
Not now.
NOT HIM.
The classroom light bent—twisted—then exploded outward as space itself split like glass.
Two figures stepped through.
A tall, slim purple humanoid cat with gold eyes, long ears, and an aura that twisted reality just by existing.
And behind him, a calm, smiling angelic being with pale-blue skin and a staff.
Lord Beerus.
And Whis.
The God of Destruction scanned the room lazily.
"So this is Earth's hero academy? Hmph."
More than half the class was calm.
The other half fainted.
But before anyone could speak—
Iida marched forward with his arm chopping motions. "EXCUSE ME! It is HIGHLY DISRESPECTFUL to barge into a classroom unannounced—"
Vegeta's head snapped toward him.
"Shut. Up."
Iida froze mid-motion.
Momo stood next. "W-Who exactly are you—"
Vegeta snarled, "DO NOT speak to him like that."
Uraraka frowned. "But we don't know who he is—"
"QUIET!" Vegeta barked.
The class jumped.
Kirishima stepped forward uncertainly. "Bro... It's not manly to yell—"
"IF YOU VALUE THIS PLANET YOU WILL SHUT YOUR MOUTHS IMMEDIATELY."
The entire room fell silent.
Whis hid a soft chuckle behind his hand. "My, my. Prince Vegeta is as fierce as ever."
Beerus raised a brow. "Hmph. At least one mortal here remembers how to show proper respect."
Vegeta bowed deeply—so deeply the class gasped.
Kakarot followed.
Ashura, Izuku, Killua, Inuyasha, Gon, Lucy, Natsu, Sonic, Shadow, Danny, and Ichigo followed suit without hesitation.
Aizawa stepped forward from the corner, voice calm but tight.
"We know who you are, Lord Beerus. Bardock told us... everything... during Vegeta's episodes."
Vegeta tensed.
He hated that they were talking about it.
But Beerus didn't seem offended.
He smirked.
"So... my dream was correct. A Super Saiyan God is on this planet."
Kakarot muttered, "Uh... what's a Super Saiyan God?"
Vegeta elbowed him sharply. "IDIOT—NOT NOW."
Beerus leaned his chin on his hand.
"Let's find out, shall we?"
The class gulped collectively.
Another storm was about to begin.
The air inside Gym Gamma felt thick—an almost electric pressure humming just above the skin. Even Aizawa had stepped back, scarf shifting as if reacting to a gathering storm. Beerus' golden eyes narrowed as he studied Kakarot and Vegeta, his tail flicking behind him with mild impatience.
"Whis," Beerus sighed. "If these two mortals are supposed to entertain me, they'll need a substantial power-up."
Vegeta scoffed. "Watch your tone, Destroyer. You're the one who interrupted class."
Kakarot elbowed him. "Vegeta, he's literally a God of Destruction—maybe dial it down?"
Beerus smirked. "Actually, I enjoy the attitude. It's refreshing. Continue."
Aizawa covered his face. Killua whispered to Gon, "This is the worst possible combination of egos."
Gon smiled nervously. "But also kinda cool..."
Whis lifted his staff. "If you desire the power of a Super Saiyan God, six righteous Saiyans must come together. However... you're lacking the proper number."
The staff flashed.
A tear opened in the air—golden and crimson swirling like cosmic flame.
Izuku gasped. "I–Is that a dimensional rift?!"
Sonic's quills sparked. "Dude, that's normal for us."
From the rift stepped:
Bardock. Gine. Raditz. Kakarot and Vegeta's son, Vegeta.
Whis instructed them, and the six Saiyans formed a circle:
Kakarot, Vegeta, Bardock, Gine, Raditz, and Vegeta V
The smaller Vegeta's aura flickered with nervous emerald light.
"Don't worry," Kakarot said, ruffling their hair. "Just breathe. You belong with us."
Little Veghie nodded, taking his Tama's hand.
The Divine Vanguard watched in awe. Natsu's flames lowered instinctively; Killua's lightning danced along his arms. Paul held Ashura while Yugi whispered ancient prayers.
The ritual began.
A red glow ignited at their feet. It spiraled upward, swirling around Vegeta and Kakarot as their energy pulled together, becoming something ancient—something divine.
Their hair lifted. Their eyes burned ruby.
A thunderclap shook the room.
And then—
BOOM.
Kakarot's aura erupted into a blazing, red inferno.
He became Super Saiyan God.
Vegeta dropped to his knees, chest heaving, gripping the floor as raw emotion flooded him—not jealousy this time, but overwhelming love and relief.
"You did it..." he whispered.
Beerus grinned like a predator.
"Excellent. Now—let's begin our warm-up."
They moved outside into the training arena. Kakarot was still stabilizing his godly form when Beerus, bored, flicked a finger at him.
It blasted Kakarot backward in a streak of red light.
Vegeta saw Kakarot skid across the ground—body limp for one terrifying second.
Something snapped.
A sound tore from Vegeta's throat—raw, animalistic, furious.
"YOU DARE LAY A HAND ON MY KAKAROT?!"
Bakugou blinked. "Oh hell. He's doing the thing."
Vegeta exploded into blue flame—Blue Evolved, sparking violently, almost unstable.
He launched himself at Beerus with a roar so loud the ground cracked.
Beerus' eyes widened in pleasant surprise. "Ah. There it is. The royal temper."
Vegeta slammed a fist against Beerus' cheek, actually pushing the god back several feet.
The class gasped.
Whis clapped politely.
Kakarot, finally recovering, whispered, "Vegeta... you're amazing."
Vegeta didn't hear him. He was too busy trying to obliterate a god.
Ashura suddenly grabbed their head, falling to their knees.
"I— I see something... cold... hateful..."
Izuku and Gon sprinted to them.
"Ashura?! What's wrong?" Izuku asked.
Paul appeared instantly, Alpha energy shimmering, placing a grounding hand on their back.
Ashura's eyes glowed purple.
"Something terrible is coming... a monster... his aura feels like poison..."
A soft cry echoed from above.
Mew descended—translucent, trembling, power dimmed.
Mew spoke directly into their minds:
"Frieza... has come."
"And he is coming... for the Saiyans."
Every Saiyan froze.
Vegeta's pupils shrank.
Bardock clenched his fists.
Kakarot swallowed hard. "So... it's finally happening."
Ashura whispered, "He wants... all of you dead."
The Divine Vanguard formed a circle around their Saiyan members—ready to defend.
Even Beerus paused. "Frieza? Tch. How tiresome."
