(The person/voice is called "it" because she doesn't know if the voice was a boy or girl cause she never had contact.)

Forever stuck. Never allowed to come out. Anxiety. Despair. All these things loom in my head. Never allowed to talk. Never allowed to see anyone. I start to feel pain, loneliness, and something that's tearing my soul day by day.
Sometime ago though, I hear a voice,"Hello?" It said. I didn't reply, afraid to talk. "Is somebody there?" It asked. I thought for a moment. It's a once in a lifetime chance to talk to someone. So I reply,"Hello?" The voice paused for a moment then said,"Oh great! I thought I was talking to myself for a moment there."
We talked about things like the outside. It told me it's great if I ever asked what's it like. But every time I asked for details it never replied, changing the subject.
One day it asked,"Why don't you come out? It's not like it's dangerous out here." I paused for a moment, thinking if should I tell it. After a few seconds, I decided to tell it. It told me it would stop them and save me, then left because it didn't want to be branded as suspicious. But as I was happy it said it was going to save me, I was also afraid. The thought that the voice might die lingered in my head until I fainted.
We talked for weeks and weeks until it got caught.
It was put in a jail cell but managed to get out. Then it came to my jail cell, or room, they told me to call it. It told me it was going to be ok over and over, while trying to get me out. But too much noise caused the guards to run to my cell.
It was caught. My eyes widened as I heard the guards screaming kill him.
A few days later, it was happening. My unavoidable fate. I was a sacrifice, I shouldn't have forgotten. I was a sacrifice, for him. The survival of one person. The goddamn king.
