Tomorrow Will Be Kinder
~Merida and Hiccup~
"And this time, I'll be the princess and you can be the evil bear," Melissa explained as she handed Hiccup her stuffed bear. He took in his hands resting it on his lap as she grabbed her doll. "Ahh! It's Mordue!" She screamed, making her doll run in circles.
Merida laughed from the opposite side of the room, rocking Henry. His blue eyes were staring into hers, watching her every movement. She brushed her thumb against his plump cheeks, making him smile.
Life was back to the way it was supposed to be.
Their children were healthy and happy.
And Hiccup was home again. For good.
Sure, he would never remember the last the five years of his life, but that was okay. Merida had come to accept it and so had Hiccup. He was thankful for the crash most days. He got to fall in love with the redhead all over again.
"Dad! Are you listening?" Melissa exclaimed, her tiny hands cupping his face and twisting his head to look into her matching green eyes.
"Yes. I'm listening." He laughed. She groaned, and rolled her eyes.
"Then why didn't you eat me?" She exclaimed. Hiccup laughed, tossing back his head.
"Melissa, will you go grab the box off of my dresser?" He asked, his green eyes twinkling at her. She sighed and slid off the couch, rushing back to their bedroom. She snatched the box and ran back, handing it to him.
He stumbled over to Merida, slightly tripping over his prosthetic leg. "Merida," he spoke, gaining her attention. She glanced up, seeing him down on one knee. "Will you marry me one more time?" He grinned.
"Oh, Hic," she gasped, tears filling in her blue eyes. She nodded her head as he slipped the ring on her shaking hand. She laughed, wrapping her arms around his neck. "I love you so much." She breathed.
"Hey, don't go crying on me, tough gal." He chuckled as he felt her tears on his shoulder. She laughed, wiping them away as she let go.
"I'm sorry," She apologized. "I just didn't expect this."
"Well, I want to remember marrying the girl I love with all of my heart." He grinned, making her laugh and cry again. Her Hiccup truly was back. Well, most of him anyways.
"Does this mean I get to be the flower girl?" Melissa asked, butting into their moment. Hiccup laughed, picking her up and tossing her.
"Of course you can be the flower girl." He grinned as she giggled in the air. Henry babbled in Merida's arms. If you would have told her three weeks ago that it seemed like her life never stopped, she never would have believed you. But in this moment, it felt like the past few months hadn't happened.
It was like her Hiccup had never left her side.
"Mum, can we talk the dogs for a walk?" Melissa begged, tugging on her mother's arm. Merida looked down, staring into those grass green eyes.
Who could say no?
"Go get Angus and Toothless on their leashes while I get Henry into his stroller. Then we can go." Merida compromised as Melissa shouted for the dogs.
The whole family was sent into a frenzy, but as soon as they stepped into the fresh, clean air, it was calm. The dogs only barked at three squirrels and the occasional bird. Henry fell asleep almost immediately and Melissa blabbered to them about everything she could possibly think of.
"Someday, I wish to climb up the tallest mountain," She declared, dragging her stick on the ground. She whipped it around, holding it like a walking stick. "I'll be higher than the clouds."
Hiccup snuck his hand into Merida's as she grinned down at her daughter. "First, you need to conquer Fire Falls. Then you can take on Mount. Everest." She chuckled.
"Okay. Fire Falls, then Mount. Everest here I come!" Melissa shouted as she rushed ahead of the couple, jumping up on benches then back down.
"Thank goodness we took her outside, otherwise she would be filled with this energy all night." Hiccup smiled before he placed a kiss on Merida's cheek.
"Please, she my daughter. We'll be lucky if she gets to bed before nine tonight." Merida replied, making Hiccup laugh and wrap his arm around her shoulders.
"This is why I love you, Merida."
She turned, her blue eyes meeting his emerald green ones. "I love you too, Hic."
Their soft kiss answered what the other was feeling inside their heart.
~Rapunzel and Eugene~
"Welcome home!" Eugene declared, opening the front door. The two boys rushed into the house, opening every single door in sight. Rapunzel took a deep breath, smelling the new air.
Rosie babbled in her arms, pulling on Rapunzel's necklace. "This is our home now." She breathed. Eugene turned around, seeing the tears threatening to spill in her green eyes.
"Hey, we made the right choice. Don't beat yourself up for the next few years wondering if this was the right thing to do." He comforted, slinging his arm over her shoulder, pulling her close.
"How are you so sure?" She whispered as he placed a kiss on her forehead.
"I'm not. I've just learned to roll with the punches. I guess that's what happens when you grow old." He teased as she leaned into his chest.
"Well, let's show the boys their new rooms." She softly smiled, walking down the hallway. Eugene followed behind her, spotting the boys jumping up and down with excitement.
"Dad! Dad! Look at this room!" Bastian cheered, spreading his arms out wide.
"It's even bigger than last time!" Zach joined him, his giggling voice echoing off the bare walls.
"You bet it is," Eugene grinned, leaning against the doorframe. "And just think, you two get to share this room."
The boys stopped and dropped their jaws. "This is ours?" Bastian asked, his brown eyes widening. Eugene hummed and nodded his head. Both of the boys cheered, quickly running up to their parents and tightly hugging them.
"Thank you! Thank you!" They shouted. Rapunzel and Eugene couldn't help but laugh as they watched their children and listened to Rosie try to say thank you.
"Come here, I wanna show you something really cool." Eugene grinned, grabbing onto Rapunzel's hand. She followed, taking quick glances into each room. It seemed like so much room compared to their last house.
"Tada." Eugene softly whispered as she opened the door to a large sunroom. Her jaw dropped as she spun in circles, admiring the space. The hardwood floors were hot from the sun and the white walls were screaming at her to be painted on.
"Oh, Eugene," she gasped, tears spilling over. This was better than she could have imagine. "This is perfect." She croaked.
"I knew you would like it. That's why I set it aside as your painting room." He explained, gently smiling at her. He pulled her into a hug, resting her head on his shoulder. Rosie cooed, kissing his nose.
"How did you even find this house in the countryside of Corona, anyways?" She asked, letting go. She wiped underneath her eyes, studying his face.
"I may or may not have gotten a little help from my brother." He shrugged, a small smirk on his face.
"Elijah?" She scoffed. "I thought he wanted nothing to do with us." She lightly chuckled, surprised at Elijah's sudden change of heart.
"Yeah, well, I guess it's just a Fitzherbert thing. Once we met the right girl, we turn around for the better." He replied, sticking his hands into his pockets.
"Yeah, I just had to dig it outta ya." She teased, pushing on his chest.
"Hey, now. Don't be teasing me, Miss Emotional Wreck," he laughed, swatting away her hand. "I'm not the one who's been crying this past month."
"And I'm not the one who cried like a baby when Rosie was born." She fired back, grinning at him.
"Every father cries when their baby girl is born. It's a right of passage!" He defended, pulling her close to him.
"Is it now?" She smirked, her face inches away from his. "Because I bet if you ask my father, he would say he didn't shed a tear." She teased, walking her fingers up his chest and resting them on his chin.
"Frederic doesn't count. He has a heart of steel." Eugene fired back. She laughed placing her lips to his. He smiled, leaning in for more. His lips tasted sweet and their kiss became more heated.
"Mom! Your phone is ringing!" Zach yelled, running into the sunroom. They let go, turning around just in time to watch him slip on the hardwood floor.
Eugene laughed, picking him up and handing the phone to Rapunzel. "I bet that hurt, huh?" Eugene grinned, poking Zach's stomach. Zach nodded his head, his green eyes wide.
"It hurt a lot, actually." He replied, rubbing his backside. Eugene tossed back his head, carrying Zach out of the room. He was nearly radiating with joy. It seemed like everything in his life was perfect.
"Let's get you some ice." He chuckled as Bastian chased them down from his room. His feet loudly stomped behind them, slowly catching up.
"Dad." Bastian stated, his little legs quickly running to keep up.
"Ya, sport?" He replied, watching Bastian's face contort in confusion.
"I'm not a sport." He scoffed.
"Sorry," Eugene apologized, lightly laughing. "Yes, champ?"
"Are we going to live here forever?" He asked as they stopped at the fridge. Eugene nodded his head, setting Zach on the counter.
"I think we'll live here for a long time." He answered, grabbing a bag of peas from the freezer. He wrapped them in a towel then handed them to Zach, who winced in pain when he felt the cold bag touch his back.
"Good, because I like it here." Bastian replied, leaning against the fridge, watching Eugene tend to Zach.
"Me too, bud. Me too." Eugene grinned, watching his carbon copy smile and nod. This was the life he was working towards. Rapunzel and him were finally financially stable. They knew what was wrong with Zach. Everything was the way it should be.
~Anna and Kristoff~
Anna moaned, gripping onto the railing. The baby wasn't suppose to come for another week. She breathily breathed, trying to make it through this contraction. She pinched her eyes shut as she heard the door open.
"Ma'am, are you okay?" A woman asked, quickly rushing to Anna's side. Anna groaned, shaking her head.
"No, the baby's coming." She hoarsely replied, one hand holding onto her stomach while the other kept her sturdy.
The woman turned around, slamming the emergency button on the elevator, sending alarms buzzing through the building. "Don't worry, you're safe. We'll get you to the nearest hospital." The woman calmly assured.
Anna groaned, sliding to the floor. She pulled out her phone, giving it to the kind stranger. "Please," she panted, her blue eyes meeting the woman's brown ones. "Call my husband. He needs to be there."
"Of course." She replied, holding onto Anna's hand, giving it a tight squeeze as she called Kristoff. Anna closed her eyes, leaning her head against the wall. She felt tired and dizzy. This didn't feel the same as her pregnancy with Kristen.
The woman placed one hand on Anna's forehead, feeling her burn up. "Hi, sir. This is Claire Stengel. Your wife is currently labor. The paramedics have just arrive to take her to Living Heart Hospital. Would you like me to stay on the line?"
Anna lightly opened her eyes, seeing the paramedics rush in. "Please, stay on the line." She croaked. Claire twisted her head, nodding at Anna.
"I'll be with her until you get there sir. She'll be in good care." The woman promised, giving Anna's hand another squeeze. She watched as men and woman in white rushed to her side. Before she knew it, her world was dark.

"Excuse me! Let me through, please!" Kristoff shouted, running through the hospital. He broke the speed limit coming over here, yet it wasn't fast enough for him. He was called nearly ten minutes ago, but the babysitter for Kristen was taking her sweet time getting to the house.
"Sir, no running." A nurse scolded, tossing her red hair over her shoulder, glaring at him.
But he didn't bother to listen. He had to be here for the baby. He had to be here for Anna.
He rushed to the desk, pounding his large hands on the counter. "Anna Bjorgman." He demanded, his brown eyes franticly searching the woman's face. She immediately knew he was about to have a panic attack.
"Follow me." She replied, placing the clipboard on the desk. She swiftly walked down the hallways, observing the no running rule.
"How is she? Is she alright?" He begged, towering over the small women. She couldn't be taller than 4'11", so Kristoff looked like a giant compared to her.
"We've transported her to have an emergency C-section. If we get you clothed in time, you should be there just in time for the delivery." She summarized. Without hesitating, Kristoff let her do her work, making sure he was as clean as possible and rushed him into the room.
He rushed to Anna's side, grabbing her hand. "You the father?" The doctor asked as he prepared himself for the operation. Kristoff nodded, fear filling in his eyes. He wasn't one for blood and gore. "Your wife is lucky she got here when she did. Otherwise there could have been more complications."
Kristoff gulped. He really didn't want to hear that at the moment. Anna was still passed out, an oxygen mask placed over her mouth. They had to make sure she'd stay under until the baby was born to prevent any complications.
Kristoff closed his eyes for most of the operation, not liking to see his wife being opened up. When his eyes weren't shut, they were trained on his wife's face. She looked so peaceful.
Suddenly, a baby's cries filled the air. Immediately, Kristoff rushed to the doctor's side. He had to see his child. Hold the precious baby in his arms. "It's a girl!" The doctor declared, handing the newborn off to a nurse to be cleaned and tended to.
Soon, Anna was patched back up and moved to a room. She blinked her blue eyes, confused to where she was at. She spotted a familiar blonde sitting in the chair beside her, a smile wide on his face. "Kristoff." She croaked.
"Hey, baby," He greeted, brushing her red locks out of her eyes. She tried to sit up, but felt immediate pain in her stomach region. "Don't move, you just had surgery. Don't worry, the baby is healthy and screaming her head off." He chuckled.
"It's a girl?" She asked, a soft smile on her face. She felt weak and exhausted. This didn't happen when she had Kristen.
"I'll go get her." Kristoff nodded, quickly rushing to grab the newborn. Anna laid her head back and closed her eyes. Her head was pounding, but she blamed it on the delivery.
Suddenly, loud screams filled the air as Kristoff brought back the newborn. Anna awed, sitting up just enough to hold her new baby girl. "She hasn't bonded with you yet, so she's been a little frantic." He explained.
Almost as soon as she was cradled into Anna's arms, the baby had calmed down. "Aw, that's my little pumpkin." Anna grinned. A soft smile began to play on the baby's face. Anna giggled, happy that the baby recognized her voice.
"I've been thinking of names for this little gal," Kristoff said, gently brushing his thumb against the baby's soft hair. Anna hummed, her eyes studying the little bundle. "What do you feel about the name Amelia?"
Anna looked up, her blue eyes meeting Kristoff's brown ones. "You came up with that on your own?" She asked.
A blush rushed over Kristoff's cheeks as he began to stutter. "Well, I just figured since we have a little girl that is similar to my name, I figured we should do that same for this one so Amelia came to mind and-"
Anna's lips pressed against his, shutting up him. "It's perfect," She smiled. She looked down at her baby and gave a slight giggle. "Miss Amelia Grace Bjorgman."
"Glad you thought of a middle name. Because I had no clue." Kristoff chuckled, folding his hands on his chest and laying back in his chair.
"Really? I'm sure you thought of something."
"I guess we could use Sven."
"No."
~Elsa~
"Are you ready to see your new baby sister?" Elsa asked, glancing back in her rear view mirror. The blonde haired girl arched her eyebrow, looking like her mother. "I take that as a no." Elsa chuckled.
"Her name is Amelia. Amelia Grace." Kristen stated, looking back outside.
"Really? Your mommy forget to tell me the baby's name." Elsa smiled, hoping to get some conversation out of the now three year old.
It didn't work.
They pulled into the hospital parking lot, neither one speaking. Elsa helped her down and held the child's small hand. She couldn't help but feel a little bad for her. After all, she knew what it felt like to suddenly became the oldest child.
They wandered the hallways, admiring the pretty murals on the walls. Kristen liked the big butterflies the best. She said they reminded her of summer and her grand pappie's farm.
"Do you think my sister will like me?" Kristen finally asked, her big blue eyes staring into Elsa's. Elsa took a deep breath, a smile growing on her face.
"Of she will. She'll love you," Elsa replied, pinching the little girl's cheek. "Did you know I'm a big sister too?"
"Really?" Kristen awed, her jaw dropping and a small smile beginning to play on her face.
Elsa hummed, nodding her head. "And your mommy is my baby sister."
"But she's not a baby." Kristen replied, turning but her nose in confusion. Elsa giggled, picking up the three year old and rubbing her nose against hers.
"She'll always be my baby sister." Elsa laughed, making Kristen join in.
They entered the room, quickly greeted by Kristoff and Anna. Elsa gently placed Kristen on the bed beside Anna. "Here, hold out your arms." Anna instructed as she put a pillow under Kristen's arms.
Softly, Anna placed Amelia into the big sister's arms. A quiet awe filled the room as Kristen giggled in joy. She loved her baby sister. And she always would.
"So, where's Jack?" Kristoff asked as he and Elsa left to go grab some food for lunch. Elsa shrugged her shoulder, slightly biting her lower lip.
"Jack and I both agreed that we should just end it," she explained. "We agreed to stay friends, of course, but I don't think anything farther than that is possible."
"I'm sorry." Kristoff replied, his brown eyes studying her face.
"It's fine. We tried our hardest, but we just couldn't click. It was like when you try to slam two puzzle pieces together. They match and fit perfectly, but when they're together, but picture doesn't make any sense. All of our preferences and personalities were a perfect match, but we didn't have a clear future." She rambled, trying to think of the best metaphor possible.
"I'm glad you two didn't end on hard feelings," Kristoff said. "That would be the worst thing possible, I think."
"Yeah," Elsa agreed. But something still tugged at her. No, it wasn't about Jack. She knew how she felt about him. She was at peace with it. "So Anna went into labor while at Hans' company, right?"
Kristoff nodded. "What was she doing there?" She asked.
"Well, she found out why I was fired a few weeks back," he began. "She went over there to try to clear out our problems but it didn't work and she happened to go into labor."
"Wait, he's still bothering you guys?"
"No," he shook. "I made him a deal. I wouldn't sue him for endangering Anna as long as he left us alone for good."
Elsa paused, furrowing her eyebrows. "You do know he can go back on that promise, right?"
"Trust me, he won't," Kristoff argued. "We agreed that it was childish to be acting this way. Plus, Hans hardly misses an opportunity for money so the idea of being sued really pushed him to agree." He chuckled.
"I'm glad everything working out for you two, well, four now." Elsa grinned.
"Five," Kristoff clarified. "You're a part of our family too, Elsa. We're glad you're doing okay with Jack and want be involved in your life."
Elsa smiled, feeling pressure build in her eyes. "Thank you," she croaked. "That means a lot, Kristoff." She grinned as he pulled her into a hug. This was one of the few moments Elsa allowed herself to show her emotions.
~Jack~
"I'm coming. I'm coming. Cool your jets," Jack groaned as he rolled off of the couch. He walked toward the door, peering out the peephole before quickly opening it. "Taylor, what's happened?"
She sniffed, wiping her nose with the back of her hand. "Jack, I need to talk to you." She declared. He opened the door wide, motioning her to come in.
He helped her to the couch then ran to grab a box of tissues. Her face was red and puffy. It was obvious she had been cry for hours now. "What's on your mind? Are you okay?" He quickly questioned.
She was quiet, except for the occasional hiccup. Her blue eyes darted around the room. Jack wanted to end this silence and find out who hurt her and why, but he knew better. Taylor needed to know she was safe. She needed think to think through her answers.
"Do you promise not to hate me?" She croaked, her horse voice filling the room.
Jack turned and looked into her eyes. They were red, giving a bluer look to them, if that was even possible. Her checks were tainted a little black from the mascara and other eye makeup she had on. "Taylor, I could never hate you."
She looked down, her face contorting. "You will after this."
Jack let out a huff. That wasn't a fair accusation. Never in his life has he ever hated her. Not after she threw up on him. Not after she left him alone at work. And not after she came it as bisexual to him. "Just tell me and you'll see." He replied.
She swallowed hard then licked her lips. "I'm pregnant."
"That's great-"
"No, you don't understand," She interrupted. Her glare was hard, never leaving his eyes. "It's not my boyfriend's. It's yours."
That hit Jack like a ton of bricks. "Are you sure? That was almost two months ago already."
"I'm sure," she replied, her eyes darting down. "You're the only one I've ever had sex with."
Jack's eyes widened, hearing this new information. But something inside of him changed. He reached over, grabbing Taylor's hand, causing her eyes to dart to his. "I love you, Taylor. And I want to help you take care of our baby."
"Please, you don't love me. You love Elsa. And it was one drunken night. I shouldn't let this baby get in the way of what you have with Elsa." Taylor argued, rubbing her fingers through her brunette hair.
"Elsa and I agreed to end it. It was for the best," he explained. He shook his head, trying to get back on subject. "I love you, but I'll admit, I'm not sure in what way yet. I just know I can't picture my life without you in it in some way, shape, or form."
"Jack, you're just saying that to calm me down," she frowned. "But I don't want your lies. I just had to tell you that you were going to be a father though."
"I'm not lying," he said. In that instant, she knew he wasn't. "I want to help with this baby. I'll do everything I can."
"Okay," she agreed, a smile playing onto her lips. "I'm so glad that you want to be apart of our baby's life." She giggled, her nerves turning into excitement.
"We're having a baby," Jack laughed, a smile growing on his face. "I'm gunna be a dad!" He cheered, running his hair through his hair.
He stood up, pacing around the room, talking to himself about what to do he was going to do with his son or daughter. All of the sports they would play. All of the fun they would have. But most importantly, all of the love they would have.
