*One month later* (This is one month after the prologue scene.What happened in the past month will be shown as flashbacks.Enjoy!)

Maya sat at the edge of the bed as tears fell from her eyes.She looked at herself in the mirror she had on her "wedding dress".There was vermilion,sandoor, on her forehead and a mangalsutra  on her neck.She was supposed to be happy she got married wasn't she? but she wasn't happy at all.

*A few moments before*

The door opened and in came Ankita.

"Maya, jo bhi Jai ne kiya , woh bahut galat tha.Mein uski taraf se maafi mang ti hu." Ankita said putting her hand on Maya's shoulder. Ankita continued,"Maya,ab tum ja sakti ho par Jai ko tumhari zarrorat hai."

"He needs you." Ankita said a little lowly.

"He needs someone to bring him out of the darkness,please.Just for a few months,just stay here.I promise, after that if you want to leave you can go.Just for Asmita(Jai's mom) ma's sake act like husband and wife.She is so happy that he got married, she doesn't know the truth and her heart will break when she finds out.She can only live for a few more months as she is diagnosed with a deadly disease.Please do this for her.Please. "

A few minutes later Maya nodded her head in approval and  Ankita left the room leaving her alone once again.

*Back to present time*

Maya was sitting by the window thinking about how her parents took the news.They thought she had ran away and got married to Jai,but that was not the case at all.Her father and brother were angry at her but her mom understood.She had wanted to tell them the truth tomorrow but for now she had to keep it to herself a little while longer.

Her head was leaned up against the cold window cooling down her wet cheeks.She finally got up and put on the clothes Ankita had left her.She laid down on the bed feeling weird as she turned and tossed.

Just then she heard the door open and then close. The heavy footsteps grew closer to her and she closed her eyes pretending to sleep, she wasn't ready to face Jai just yet.

"Maya" she heard Jai's voice but lay still until she felt his arm on her shoulder shaking her. She finally opened her eyes and looked at him, he was still in a sherwani. His eyes were red and swollen, he looked tired and angry.

"What?" she asked him. 

"I'm sleeping here on my bed!" he responded.

"No, I'm  sleeping here." She argued. "You are not sleeping here, Go on the floor!" he pointed to the floor and grabbed her arm ready to pull her from the bed.

"What? NO!" she yelled loudly, "No way am I sleeping down there."

"Well, now you are." he said and pushed her off the bed.She got up and pushed him to the floor getting on the bed.

He angrily got up and then went to the bathroom. She smiled victoriously and laid down once again snuggling in to sleep.

Maya woke up to the sun shining on her face. She opened her eyes and turned to see that she was on the floor and looked up to see Jai on the bed.

"Jai!" she yelled moving towards him angrily but instead slipped falling on him. Meanwhile Jai woke up to find Maya on him her hair stuck in his necklace."What the hell are you doing on top of me?" he whispered and she froze and looked up at him.

"Why was I on the floor?" she asked not answering his question while trying to get up but instead yelled when her hair was pulled by Jai's necklace.

He said nothing but instead lay still letting her try to get her hair out but instead she moved away suddenly breaking his necklace.

She realized what she had done and gasped.

*Flashback*

"Why do you always have that necklace on?" Maya asked and saw his eyes glisten.

"Hmm...my father was in the army. He left for a mission when I was 15 and gave me this", Jai said sadly.

"Where is he now?" she asked lightly."He never came back from the mission" he whispered.

*End*

"I'm sorry, Jai.I..I" she trailed off afraid to look up at him.

He just grabbed the necklace from her and got up leaving her there.
