2 Chapter
She shook her head, unable to say a word. They let the people pass and leaned against the wall, and she felt a surge of excitement.
"It's getting weird between us," he said, his voice alive with anticipation.
She shook her head in confirmation.
- Aren't you talking? Do you just shake your head?
After taking a deep breath, she said.
"Yes, you're right, we have to stop this."
-No, that's not what I mean at all! My name's Oscar, and what's your name?
- My name isn't Oscar. And she smiled. She wanted to clear the air for herself.
- Susana.
He smiled.
- Well, the name matches the person. We'll absolutely have to arrange to meet up soon so we can chat more! Please give me your mobile number.
She was a little embarrassed but eventually gave it to him.
- As we live nearby, maybe we'll have a coffee there this weekend! What do you say?
- Yes, of course!
She was still stunned, but she had to answer without shaking her head.
Without further ado, they said goodbye, but not before he told her he would call her to arrange the meeting.
There they were, sitting across from each other in the café. It was spring and the weather was mild.
- You know, I could be your mother.
She threw the first stone. He looked at her with a mixture of surprise and shock.
- I don't think so. You've never met my father and believe me, you're nothing like my mother.
She smiled.
-You know what I meant...
- If it was the other way round, age wouldn't be mentioned. That sounds like a very sexist comment, which I'm sure you're not.
He replied firmly and quite seriously.
She remained silent.
- Can we talk about something interesting?
