Repulsion

'Though the trace is faint... I can still tell a demon's been here' were shinobu's thoughts as she was doing her checkups on Rengoku's recovery. "So how is it?" He asked with gritted teeth, squeezing his eyes shut as Shinobu slowly removed the bandages from his stomach.

There was still a large concave dent in his abdomen, but you could see that his skin was beginning to slowly stitch itself together and heal. "Keep on doing what your doing right now and you'll be healed in no time, just try not to strain yourself"

she squeezed some disinfect cream on her delicate fingers and began applying it to the scarred skin around the wound; making Rengoku grunt in pain as she replaced the bandages.

"Thank you Kocho" Rengoku let out a strained breath and leant against his bed frame with a slight pant. Shinobu stood up and eyed the room "Say... Rengoku you haven't seen any demon's recently have you?" Her voice was calm yet curious.

Kyojuro stiffened. He knew he should've reported to the master what happened with the upper moon three, however he just felt like it was the wrong decision... and he couldn't figure out why. Rengoku decided to hold onto this secret for at least a little longer.

"I don't believe so? What is your worry Kocho?!" He shouted with a bit of hesitance, a singular bead of sweat travelling down his forehead. Shinobu shook her head and let out a light chuckle, walking to the door with a smile "oh nothing~ do rest well today Kyojuro I'll be on a mission so Aoi will hand you your meds"

"Perfect! Thank you for your help!" With that she waved and exited the room, leaving Kyojuro to his own devices.

"Akaza-dono! Have this arm! Why haven't you eaten? I can tell just by looking at you!" Douma exclaimed, holding a severed limb up to the upper moon's drooling mouth. The demon in question growled and slapped it away, making Douma fake gasp in offence.

"Fuck off. I'm not hungry" he hissed while wiping away the drool, gripping his fists tightly as to restrain his hunger "I'm leaving. Muzan-sama is done with us" he forced out while turning away from Douma who was still trying to get his attention.

The upper moon's had just been summoned for a meeting, well rather it was more of a scolding from the terrifying demon king about how they needed to up their search for the blue spider Lilly. They were only left on a small warning, nothing too severe since Muzan treated his highest moon's with at least a little respect.

"Bye bye Akaza-dono! Make sure you eat or you'll never get stronger~" Douma sang before they all left the infinity fortress by the sound of Nakime's biwa.

Akaza was sat in the shadows of the woods, staring at a small village full with working people in the gentle sunshine; their children giggling and playing as the sun was slowly setting.

The demon liked to do this.

He would stalk a village for a while, pick out the male's who were around mid-age and wait till the sun set to attack his specific targets. Every demon had a specific taste; Kokushibo enjoyed the specific taste of children, Muzan only ate the finest human meat available... and Douma was a glutton.

That's why everyone hated him. Douma ate everyone and everything. Women, men, children, elderly, disabled. That's probably why he managed to grow stronger in such a short amount of time.

In Akaza's case he only ate men. Never in his demon life had Akaza killed a woman; he didn't really know why. It just felt wrong to him.

However these late months Akaza had lost his appetite. He had forced himself to eat the odd human, but nothing like he used to eat. It was as if every human's flesh he tasted was repulsing.

Akaza wanted to eat. Of corse he did.

He was starving after all. It was like his stomach was slowly eating itself.

So he did what any normal normal demon would do and wanted for the sun to go down, choosing his targets and sneaking into the now quiet village hidden in the darkness of nighttime.

His routine was easy enough. Akaza snuck into one of the small hut's where a family of four lived, the demon had his eyes on the father who looked to be a healthy man around the perfect age for his taste.

Maybe this human would be different? Perhaps Akaza wouldn't be repulsed from his taste for once.

Almost as soon as he had entered the small hut, the family went into panic. The children and wife had ran into the corner whilst the husband bravely took his axe and attempted to pitifully protect his family.

It was an obvious outcome. You couldn't even call it a fight to be honest, it could be more classed as bullying to be fair.

The man was dead. And he tasted just as horrible to Akaza. The demon turned to the horrified family who watched their father and husband get eaten alive. His mouth was painted with red, with a repulsed expression Akaza wiped the blood away and spat it out in disgust.

"I hate weaklings... you'll be happier without him. He was weak anyways" he told the woman before leaving into the darkness again with an unsatisfied appetite.

Akaza left the village swiftly, his mind set on another thing apart from food...

Kyojuro.

"You're here again..." Rengoku rubbed his eyes with a balled fist, hair fluffy and uneven from sleeping all day. He was feeling better today after a good amount of sleep to the point he could just walk without being in pain.

Akaza shot him an amused look "miss me Kyojuro? You seemed to hate me when I was last here?" He closed the window behind him and walked up to the pillar, sitting cross legged on the end of Rengoku's bed like a child with an innocent grin.

Kyojuro could hear Akaza's stomach grumble as he moved his legs to make room for the demon who took up most the bed. "I didn't miss you." He mumbled while looking to the side at the flowers Akaza left the other day. Rengoku had put them in a small glass of water to keep them alive for as long as possible.

"Those flowers say otherwise. You could've thrown them away" Akaza mused, watching where Kyojuro was looking. Rengoku glared at him, although his glare contained no malice like before.

"I didn't want to let such beautiful things die..." Rengoku's voice was soft, his eyes glazed with a shiny tint.

Akaza found it rather enticing. He didn't know what to say so their conversation had stopped flowing. "Why aren't you eating? What are you suddenly allergic to eating humans?" Rengoku laughed mockingly, crossing his arms in triumph as he saw Akaza's expression twist a little in annoyance.

"What if I said yes? Would you help me quench my hunger Kyojuro?~ would you let me eat you?" Akaza's tone changed from annoyed to teasing, leaning his chest closer to the pillar's body.

"No of corse not! I don't care if you starve. If anything it would be beneficial for the demon slayers" Rengoku turned the other cheek, ignoring the feeling in his chest.

"Is that so... then why haven't you told anyone about my little visits?~ surely it's against the rules Kyojuro?" Akaza continued to inch closer and closer to the pillar, his smirk growing wider as he felt Rengoku's hot breath on his face.

The pillar tried to keep his platonic smile while panicking internally at their proximity "I haven't been breaking any rules" Rengoku tried his best not to stutter while making eye contact with the demon.

"Oh really? Well I guess it won't be breaking the rules if i have a little taste eh?" Akaza's smiled widened, his fangs on full show as he gently grabbed Kyojuro's wrists and pushed them into the bed frame.

"What do you mean? Let me go." Rengoku protested in his hold, however his strength isn't what it used to be, he was still healing after all. Rengoku was no match for Akaza's strength right now. The pillar wanted to raise his voice, however he was afraid of waking the inhabitants of the butterfly mansion.

"You are in no place to protest Kyojuro~ just relax... I'll only have a little taste alright?" It was strange to Rengoku. Akaza was being forceful yet soft at the same time, not putting to much pressure on his wrists while gently holding him in place enough so he couldn't move.

"Don't..." Rengoku frowned as Akaza's mouth opened a little, a small dribble of saliva travelling down his chin; the loud rumble of the demon's stomach catching Rengoku's ear.

"A demon has to eat Kyojuro... I'm sure you of all people know that best."

Rengoku sucked in his pride, biting his lip as this was his last option "please?..."

Akaza stopped, his face going blank for a second as he immersed himself in thought. Not even a second later he lit up and let go of the pillar's wrists. Rengoku let out a relieved sigh and rubbed his wrists while sending a glare in Akaza's direction.

"I've never heard you say please Kyojuro... I kinda like it. You know what I'll make you a deal" Rengoku raised his forked brow, keeping a safe distance from the demon by shuffling back in his bed a little "and what's this deal?"

"I've killed many people Kyojuro... it's inevitable. I do it for survival, however... I would make an acceptation just for you" a smile trailed Akaza's pale lips. Rengoku's breath hitched in his throat "and?..."

"Let me drink your blood on the daily and I won't kill any more humans. It's a tiresome job to do anyways" the demon shrugged as if it were a normal request.

Rengoku thought... if he will not be out saving lives by slaying demon's since he's still healing, he might as well save lives in a different way? So really it's not a bad deal if you think about it.

"I agree." Akaza's smile widened, he could hardly contain his hunger now. Maybe Kyojuro would taste just as repulsive as all the other humans he tasted in the last month? However for some reason he smelt different.

Well there was only one way to find out.

"Brilliant!" Akaza couldn't hold in his excitement anymore and instantly grabbed onto Rengoku's shoulders, ripping his top swiftly and biting into the male's smooth skin on top of his collar bone. Kyojuro gasped and reflexively grabbed onto Akaza's chest to relinquish the pain.

The demon let Kyojuro's warm blood rest gently on his tastebuds. He didn't feel repulsed. Nor did he feel the need to throw up. In fact it was probably the best Akaza had ever tasted.
