Chapter 4
"(Y/n), wake up." Dave's voice rings in my ears when I feel myself being shaken.
"What?" I groan.
"We're going out," Dave tells me, "you've been cooped up in this dank apartment for a few months, think it's time to let you get some fresh air."
"Alright," I groan again, "just let me get changed."
I get to my feet and drag myself into the bathroom.
I decide on a floral dress that Dave had chosen along with a whole bunch of other clothes. Despite the fact that I had been missing my wings for months, I still wasn't used to getting clothes on and off so quickly and easily. I slip on a pair of flats and walk back out to the lounge.
"Alright, let's go." Dave says.
I sigh as I follow Dave out of the apartment, the sun almost burning my eyes. I didn't say anything as we walked along the path. I wasn't sure what Dave really wanted from me. I had been stuck with him for months, and he hadn't done anything to me. I was expecting torture, or being sold. But nothing had happened. This didn't mean that I trusted him, quite the opposite, actually. I was scared to fall asleep; I didn't trust him at all.
"You're going to have to walk faster than that." Dave snaps me out of my thoughts.
I frown as I speed up my walking space.
"So why did you finally decide to take me out of that dingy apartment?" I ask, "you haven't thought of something like this for the past three months."
Dave just shrugs and continues to walk. I roll my eyes in return and continue to reluctantly follow him.
My eyes widen at the sight before me, everything was so bright and colourful. There were humans walking around everywhere, smiling and playing games.
"I'm guessing you don't get to see anything like this at home." Dave pipes up.
"No, I rarely ever leave the castle." I reply.
Dave grabs me by the wrist and tugs me to a stall. The stall had a bunch of balloons stuck to the backboard.
"Five darts please." Dave tells the man at the stall, pulling out the cash and giving it to him.
"Here," he says, giving me the darts, "just try to pop the balloons."
I nod and look towards the balloons.
Pop!
Pop!
Pop!
Pop!
Fwoop!
I frown as I watch the last dart miss the balloons.
"Five more." Dave says, passing the money over.
Pop!
Pop!
Pop!
Pop!
Pop!
"Wow, the was impressive." I nod.
Dave points to the (f/c) (f/a) plush. The stall owner pulls it down and gives it to Dave.
"Here." He says as he gives you the plush.
"Aww, it's so cute," you smile, "thank you."
"C'mon, let's go do something else." He suggests, and we both walk off.
"Alright, let's get back to the apartment." Dave says.
"Can we just go onto that one first?" I ask, pointing at the giant wheel.
"Fine, but after the Ferris wheel we are going back."
I cheer and run off to the Ferris wheel, Dave walking behind me.
We buy some tickets and get into one of the carriages. I begin to kick my feet back and forth as I sat beside the blond.
"The view is so nice from up here," I sigh happily as I look at the city below us; I give Dave a kiss on the cheek, "thanks for bringing me here."
"It was no problem" he says, looking back out his side.
Once the ride stops we hop off and head home.
Once we get to the apartment I get changed and we both get into bed. Dave didn't trust me to stay by myself so I was forced to share a bed with the blond.
"Goodnight Dave." You say as you close your eyes.
"Goodnight (y/n)."
