Kara POV:

It was 6 of the afternoon and I was laid on my bed speaking to Al on my phone just talking about random things

" and then he was like 'I wouldn't mind taste a black woman it had always been in my wish list' ... I mean can you believe this ?? what the fuck is wrong with guys nowadays?! " she said through the phone

"I don't know they are all a bunch of assholes " I replied

" TRUE!!! "

"Mufkin come here" my dad screamed from downstairs, weird he is never at home by this time

"Hey Ali, my Dad's calling me I'll text u later bye "

"Alright bye K !"

After saying my goodbyes to my best friend I put my slippers on and walked to my dad's office hoping he'd be there. Luckily when I open the door I saw my father moving really fast, from one side of the office to another.

"Did you called me ?" I said while he was putting something on a bag ... it actually seemed like he was packing "Are you leaving?... Again?"

"That's exactly what I want to talk with you" he said then he looked at me with a guilty face "I'm going on a work trip for 2 months "

"What?"

"Look I know it's all of a sudden but this can really change my all career " he explained trying to give me good reasons to just let me here and my brother alone. See my father is a journeyman he is always in these trips doing god knows what I've already accustomed to it but still hurts you know he is my dad and mom, my mom ran away a few years ago so he is the only parent figure me and my brother have and he is constantly leaving so it's getting hard to not break our bonds ...

"Don't worry you won't be alone this time " he reassured me smiling, like if that smile would make everything alright

"You hired a babysitter please I'm 19, and Martin 13 he knows how to take care of himself, Dad !"

"It's not a babysitter it's a friend of mine"

"The same thing" I said rolling my eyes ready to leave the room

"Look Derek will be here, you know him! He used to come here in the holidays !"

Derek? Who the fuck is Derek?

"Language"

"Was I talking out loud ?" I said a little embarrassed for cursing in front of my dad

"Yup" he said smiling " Look no worries, he's in town because he needs inspiration for his work so I gave him a place to stay and while he is here he can always keep an eye on you and your brother"

"What about Cora?"

"Cora will be here like everyday"Cora was like my brother's babysitter she was always with him she takes him to school she tells him to eat she makes him do his homework... she's like a hired mom I think my dad stopped to have time for us so as Martin needed someone and I couldn't always be there my dad paid someone to be his mom ... Sad I know

"Well, then I don't need a babysitter! I have Johanna ..." I said looking at my maid who was helping my dad packing, she smiled at me and I gave her a hug " Johanna is like our second mom can't she been taking care of us ?!"

"Johanna will just appear some days, I would like to give her some good vacation"

"Oh okay and to Hulk and Thor ?"

"Their names is Ullya and Trace, they are securities, of course, they are not getting vacation"

"I don't need bodyguards"

"They protect the house and the family they ain't bodyguards Kara"

"That's actually the concept of bodyguards they protect thing's " I said in an obvious tone

"Don't discuss I've already decided this. Derek will ride you to school and see if you behave"

"Behave? oh my god ...whatever when are you leaving?"

"Tomorrow"

"Ok, safe flight " I said and I walked out of the room. I know it was a little bit rush but my dad deserves it ok? He only cares about work it's not about the money because of the money we have! It just since my mother ran away he got attached to work trying to occupy his mind with other stuff besides mum...at least it's what everyone says but I know that these trips are only to find mom he tries to follow her track he wants explanations so once in a while he does these crazy trips . I get him he loves her but it's getting out of hand, I'm here and Martin is too it would be nice to spend some quality time with our Dad. It's not that I miss mom, I actually do miss her but what kind of mom just ran away from her child's.

I decided to get back to my room but before I needed ice cream to help me finish my series. So I went to the kitchen and searched for my delicious caramel and cream ice cream

" he's going away again ain't he ?" A voice spoke from the counter I grabbed my ice cream and turned around

" yes he is Martin" I said looking at my brother with a sad face and searching for a spoon

"It's like he's not dad anymore"

"I know"

"Wish mom was here " he said with a cracky voice

"Hell no!" I said " don't wish that ! Mom ran away ok she doesn't deserve our tears cmon smile you little man " I said giving him a slight punch on his arm

"Ain't little !!!" He said

"Oh you are" I said messing with him so he would forget that subject

"I AM A MAN !! "

"Sure Jan" I assured giving a kiss in his hair marking the height difference

"I hate you" he said hiding a smile getting up and going away. I did too, I walked to my room and FaceTime Ali and Bella while watching 'The Vampire Diaries' for the fourth time

THE NEXT DAY

*rinnnnnnnggggggg*

"Ahhh no" I tried to say still sleepy

"GET UP GET UP EVERYONE C'MON" I heard Johanna say in the hallway. After a lot of effort, I got up and dressed myself to school, I didn't need any dramas for outfits due to my university have uniforms. It is unusual to a university but it's actually cool I don't need to worry about what to wear every day.

I walked to my cute closet and did a simple makeup with one of my favorite lipsticks and put cute earrings on.

"Ready" I smiled to myself liking my final look. I got downstairs and gave kissing to Johanna greeting her " hi Jo"

"Hello dear! Your pancakes with chocolate are ready your latte is here too you just need to put sugar on it" Johanna said smiling and giving me a kiss back

"Hi monster," I said to my brother

"Sup Krokodile " he said messing with me

"Look that joke is getting old" i respond rolling my eyes

"It never gets old "

"Whatever just eat or you'll be late" I got closer to my delicious pancakes and took a bit to taste . IT WAS MARVELOUS! Love pancakes with chocolate !!! Has I was eating I noticed something was different today " Johawwa " I called with my mouth full of food which quickly my maid looked at me with angry eyes scolding my full mouth then I swallowed my food and talked properly"sorry, whose plate is this ?" I said pointing to the plate next to me ...it couldn't be my dad's he only drinks a milkshake in the morning or a coffee...so... for who was this

"Oh that's for Mr.Connor"

"Who's Mr Connor? "

"You'll see! Now hurry up or you going to be late ! C'mon!!"

I shrugged my shoulders and forgot about the Mysterious Mr. Connor I didn't needed to occupy my head with others things ...

I got to my bedroom and brushed my teeth put perfume and grabbed my bag as I was ready to leave and pass through the door a muscled body collapsed into mine. I looked up to see who the hell collided with me and suddenly our eyes locked, my heart forgot to pound and my legs got weak.

"See were you going next time, princess"
