Homecoming dance Part 2

*Eugene's POV*
I was talking with my friends. Apparently, Merida and Hiccup are officially dating now. The boys and I decided to go sit down while the girls continued to dance.

"So Flynn, how does it feel to be king?" Jack asked.

"I could get used to it. Yupp, I'm used to it. Guys, I want a castle." I said leaning back into chair.

"Maybe if Rapunzel was a princess you could be a king." Kristoff teased.

"Naw that's okay, we'll just buy our own castle." I joked.

"But seriously, what if Rapunzel was a princess?" Hiccup asked.

"Ya, I mean, Elsa, Anna, and Merida are princesses. What if Rapunzel is too?" Kristoff added.

"Guys, Rapunzel doesn't have to be royalty for me to like her." I said.

"We aren't saying that, but what if she was princess?" Jack asked.

"I don't know? What if she is?" I asked shrugging my shoulders.

"You're hiding something." Jack accused.

"Okay, okay, listen." I whispered.

"What?" Hiccup asked as we leaned in.

"Back home, we have a lost princess. She was stolen in the middle of the night and we've never seen her since. She's been gone for about 17 years. Rapunzel is 17 and her mother has hidden her in a tower her whole life. Coincidence?" I whispered.

"That's definitely her!" Jack yelled.

"Calm down, I'm bringing her home next break. I'm going to show her around and see if she really is the lost princess." I said.

"Do you know how awesome it would be if she was the lost princess? Pretty awesome!" Kristoff exclaimed.

"But imagine how much different her life would be. She would be in line for future queen." Hiccup said. We all sat and thought about this. Eventually, we all got hungry and went to the snack table and ate. Soon I lost the boys and hoped to find Rapunzel so we could dance more. I couldn't find anyone but Tiffany. Maybe she'll help me this one time.

"Hey Tiffany, have you seen Rapunzel anywhere!?" I yelled over the music.

"No, I haven't seen her! Sorry Flynn!" Tiffany yelled. I continued to walk around until I found her by the snack table.

"Rapunzel, there you are. Let's go dance!" I said taking her arm.

"Whee!" She yelled as I pulled her on the floor.

"Having fun?" I asked.

"Totally, this is way better than back in my tower! There's so many more people here!" She yelled. Soon another slow song came on and we danced. "I'm having sooo much fun tonight." She giggled.

"Good." I replied. She's acting a little bit different. Soon the song ended and she left to go get a drink. I found Jack and those guys and hung around them. I looked around and couldn't see Rapunzel. "Have you guys seen Rapunzel lately?" I asked.

"No why?" Jack asked.

"Because when I was dancing with her she was acting a little strange and I want to check on her, but I don't see her anywhere." I said worriedly.

"Let's go find her." Kristoff said getting up from his chair.

*Elsa's POV*
We were all dancing until the boys left to go sit down. I was going to follow them until Anna grabbed my arm.

"Let's keep dancing!" Anna yelled. We danced for a few more songs until I was thirsty. We all went to the refreshment table to get a drink of punch.

"Hey, where's Punzie?" Merida asked.

"Maybe she went to the bathroom." Anna replied.

"She'll find us eventually." I said as I shrugged my shoulders. I looked around for a little bit and saw Flynn find Rapunzel at the snack table. He pulled her out onto the dance floor and I decided to do the same. I walked over to the boys' table and grabbed Jack's hand. "Come dance with me!" I pleaded as I pulled him out of his chair.

"Why! Hiccup doesn't have to!" Jack whined.

"Come on, it'll be fun!" I said pulling him in the dance floor. We danced for a while until Jack said his feet hurt and he went and sat down. I decided to go get something to drink. I walked over to the refreshment table and someone called my name.

"Hey Elsa." Rapunzel hiccuped. She tumbled over to me and I barely caught her.

"Rapunzel what happened to you?" I asked looking her up and down.

"I really, really *hiccup* need your help." Rapunzel said playing with my hair.

"What is it?" I asked. What is wrong with her?

"I really, really need to *hiccup* find pretty boy." She giggled.

"Who's pretty boy?" I asked.

"Oh come on *hiccup* Elsa *hiccup* you know who *hiccup* pretty boy is." Rapunzel said wobbling back and forth.

"Rapunzel, we need to get you a seat." I said pulling her to a table.

"No no no, I need to find pretty boy!" She pleaded almost falling over.

"Who is pretty boy Rapunzel?" I asked getting annoyed.

"You have to guess!" Rapunzel giggled. She could barely hold her head up.

"Jack?" I guessed. I knew it wasn't him but I wanted her to tell me.

"No, his name begins with an E!" She lightly sang.

"Rapunzel, I don't know anyone who's name begins with E except mine!" I yelled.

"Yes you do! *hiccup* Eugene!" Rapunzel said smiling big.

"Who's Eugene?" I asked. Suddenly, she ran away and jumped onto Flynn.

"Pretty boy!" She yelled hugging him tightly.

"Pretty boy?" He asked looking at her clinging onto him.

"Yes, you gave me the nickname Blondie so I gave you the nickname pretty boy. See, I have blonde hair and you have a pretty face so it's perfect!" She said cupping Flynn's cheeks in her hands.

"Rapunzel, I thought you said his name began with the letter E." I said annoyed.

"It does silly goose! Eugene and pretty boy are the same person!" Rapunzel giggled.

"That's Flynn Rapunzel." Jack said.

"Oops. Sorry Eugene, I just *hiccup* told them your little secret." She whispered not so quietly. His name is Eugene?!

*Eugene's POV*

I thought we would never find Rapunzel until she jumped on me. I could smell the alcohol on her breath. It was so strong that I was surprised Elsa didn't notice. Rapunzel was talking complete nonsense until she brought up my name.

"Oops. Sorry Eugene, I just *hiccup* told them your little secret." Rapunzel said trying to whisper.

"Flynn, what is she taking about?" Merida asked.

"I'll tell you later." I said holding onto Rapunzel.

"Or I could tell you now!" Rapunzel slurred.

"Why is she so goofy?" Elsa asked.

"I'm guessing someone gave her some alcohol because I can smell it all over her." I said pushing her to arm length so they could smell her. Everyone took a deep breath and backed away.

"Who did this Rapunzel?" Merida asked.

"Did someone put it in our drinks too?" Anna asked.

"I got it from *hiccup* Tiffany. She told me that she felt sorry and *hiccup* she gave me this drink. She also told me *hiccup* to come to her for more *hiccup* punch because the punch here *hiccup* is made from dishwater." Rapunzel said nodding her head up and down, holding a plastic cup.

"Are you serious!?" Merida yelled.

"Wow the world looks funny like this!" Rapunzel said twisting her head back and forth.

"Are you going to tell us about this Eugene business?" Jack asked.

"Long story short, I was an orphan, real name is Eugene Fitzherbert, and I named myself after a book." I said quickly noticing Rapunzel was starting to squirm away.

"Okay? Tell us more." Hiccup said.

"I can't exactly right now! I'm kind of dealing with a distractive two-year old." I yelled trying to pull her back from following some people outside.

"I want to go outside!" She yelled as she kicked me. She grabbed on tight to the doorway.

"Rapunzel!" I yelled as I pulled her back. She flew back as she let go. She landed on top of me and laughed.

"That was fun *hiccup* lets do it again!" She hiccuped.

"No Rapunzel, we need to get you back to your bed!" I said as I pulled her back up.

"No!" She said as she stomped her.

"Please Rapunzel!" I begged.

"I'm having *hiccup* so much fun! Look at all of my new friends!" She said as she pointed to everyone dancing. She left me with no choice. I picked her up bridal style and started to walk out the door. Then she started to cry.

"Come on Rapunzel, don't cry." I said sympathetically.

"It's just that *sniff* I was having so much fun here and..." She cried into her hands.

"We'll have more fun tomorrow!" I said as Merida and Hiccup grabbed our belongings.

"But *sniff* I was having fun here!" She said as tears rolled down her face.

"See look, all of our friends are leaving!" I said.

"Okay, but *sniff* my tummy hurts!" She whined.

"We'll get you some medicine to make you feel better okay?" I said. She probably had lots of alcohol, so I was preparing myself in case she had to throw up.

"Okay, but *sniff* is it my fault everyone else has to *hiccup* leave?" She asked with big eyes. I looked at Jack for help.

"No, we were getting tired." Jack said.

"Really?" She asked.

"Really." Jack said. Her eyes and cheeks were still red, but she smiled. As we walked to our dorms, she keep talking about nonsense. Most of the time we didn't understand what she said so we laughed.

"Some days, I just wish that I could have normal hair." She said.

"Why?" Elsa asked.

"Because this pile of hair gets in the way of everything and it weighs like *hiccup* ten thousand pounds!" She laughed.

"Well I think your hair is perfect." Anna said.

"Thanks Anna! You know, I never told you this but..." She giggled.

"What?" Anna asked.

"Instead of breaking my brush in Merida's hair, I broke yours!" She laughed.

"Are you serious?" Anna questioned.

"Yes ma'am, I couldn't find mine at first *hiccup* so I just grabbed yours." Rapunzel giggled.

"You broke a brush in my hair!" Merida asked holding her hair.

"Sorry!" Rapunzel giggled.

"Rapunzel!" Anna whined. We all laughed at how Anna couldn't yell at her. "Ooooh and sometimes I just look at the stars and *hiccup* pretend that they're the lanterns." Rapunzel sighed. She laid her head against my chest and looked up.

"Why do you like the lanterns so much?" Hiccup asked.

"Because they always appear on *hiccup* on my birthday." Rapunzel said.

"So why are they important?" Jack asked.

"Because I feel like *hiccup* they're meant for me!" She giggled.

"Okay Rapunzel." Elsa chuckled. We almost got to the dorm when Rapunzel started crying again.

"Rapunzel, what's wrong now?" I asked.

"I don't want to go to bed yet!" Rapunzel sobbed.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"About 1 am, why?" Jack asked. We could still do something.

"Rapunzel, where would you like to go?" I asked looking her in her eyes.

"Maybe she would like the park?" Anna answered.

"Does that sound alright?" I asked Rapunzel.

"Okay. *sniff* But only if you *hiccup* carry me tonight." Rapunzel said as a tear rolled down her face.

"Trust me, I don't want you walking." I said. There was absolutely no way she could walk on her own. Kristoff led the way since he had been there before.

"Did you know that I can *hiccup* can play the guitar?" Rapunzel asked.

"No, how did you learn?" Kristoff asked.

"I taught myself. Eugene *hiccup* when we get to the park, wake me up." Rapunzel said cuddling up into my arms. She shut her eyes and went to sleep.

"So, are you going to tell us about your name now?" Hiccup asked.

"Okay, I was an orphan and my real name is Eugene Fitzherbert. I used to read all of the younger kids a book about a hero named Flynnagin Rider. I wanted to be like him, so I named myself Flynn Rider." I said.

"Why didn't you tell us this before?" Jack asked.

"I don't know, I never told anyone except Rapunzel."

"She must really like that name since she calls you it when she's drunk." Elsa said.

"Yeah, she liked it so much that she calls me it when it's just us."

"That's really cute!" Anna yelled. Suddenly Rapunzel started squirming in my arms.

"Woah Rapunzel, it's okay!" I said calming her down.

"Ow, my stomach *hiccup* it hurts!" She cried out in pain. She curled up into a ball an put her hand to her mouth. I ran her over to a tree for her to throw up. I held her hair back. "Eugene, what are you *hiccup* doing?" She asked leaning against the tree.

"Just throw up and you'll feel better." I said holding her hair with one hand and holding her hand in the other. Eventually, she threw up and Elsa gave her her handkerchief and some water. She rinsed her mouth and wiped her face. "Feel better?" I asked.

"A little, my head *hiccup* is pounding." Rapunzel said climbing into my arms.

"Don't worry, we're almost there." Kristoff said.

"Good." Anna said. I looked around and saw that Merida had her head on Hiccup's shoulder. We got to the park and stayed there for about a half hour. We walked back to the girls dorm so we could drop them off. Elsa unlocked the door so I could put Rapunzel in her bed.

"Goodnight Rapunzel." I whispered laying her down.

"Stay with me." She said looking me in the eyes.

"I can't, I have to go back to my room."

"You can stay with me, no one will find out." Rapunzel whispered in my ear. She kissed me and pulled me onto her bed.

"No Rapunzel, I'm going back to my room." I tried to get up but she wouldn't let go of me.

"Please Eugene, I love you." She whispered.

"I love you too, that's why I'm going to sleep in my bed. Okay?" I asked.

"Okay. Goodnight Eugene." She said shutting her eyes.

"Goodnight!" I called.

"Goodnight Eugene!" Everyone responded. I walked back to my room and saw the guys getting ready for bed. We all fell asleep until someone knocked on our door at 4 am.

"What!" Jack yelled.

"I need Eugene!" Elsa yelled.

"Why?" Kristoff asked.

"Because Rapunzel is crying again and we can't make her stop." Elsa reasoned.

"I'm coming, I'm coming." I yawned getting out of bed. Elsa and I walked to their room and I saw Rapunzel crying. "What wrong?" I asked bringing her chin up so I could see her face.

"My tummy still hurts and my head hurts and *sniff* I can't fall asleep and and.." Rapunzel cried. Tears rolled down her face and landed on her blankets.

"Hey hey hey, don't worry, I'm right here. You'll feel better if you try to sleep." I said looking her in the eyes.

"But, but I can't!" She cried harder. I pulled her out of bed and brought her to the bathroom. I held her hair and told her she probably had to throw up again. After about five minutes, she eventually did and I brought her back to bed. I grabbed her some aspirin from my room and gave her some water. I was about to leave when she asked me a question.

"Eugene, will you stay with me?" She asked, her eyes red from crying.

"Rapunzel, you know I can't.." I started.

"You can sleep on the floor and when I feel sick again, you can help me." She pleaded, interrupting me.

"Okay." I said. She gave me a blanket and hung her hand over the side of the bed. I grabbed it and rubbed my thumb on it. I eventually heard her breathing get quieter and slower. I knew she finally fell asleep.

..............................................................................................................................................Well that was a very, very long chapter. Hope you enjoyed!
