With tenterhooks and poppycock, the young

Whippersnappers played with the whatsit-

Thingamajig-whatnot, on the coffee table,

When mother came in the room, and was all

Persnickety—the kids all skedaddled, leaving

The doohickey on the floor. Mother was heard

To say, "Well, I'll be gobsmacked! I've been

Bamboozled, they've discombobulated my

Whatchamacallit;" it was all codswallop,

And youthful shenanigans.
