Subject P has asked me to refer to him as “Patton,” his real name. I suppose this means he is beginning to trust me, I haven’t the faintest idea as to why. I would assume it’s because I provide the food he eats and the bed he sleeps in, though I believe that to be a foolish reason. Subject R-O and Subject R-E are deathly afraid of me. I see them shift closer to each other whenever I enter the room. Subject R-O has also stopped arguing with Subject V, which I can tell concerns the latter immensely. He tries not to show how much he cares, however, which is incredibly perplexing to me. Subject V has also been opening up the book I gave him a bit, however when I ask him about simple details about the book, he stares at me blankly. This leads me to believe that he isn’t reading it at all. This is highly confusing to me. Why would he open the book, only to stare blankly at it for hours?
