The one who used to laugh and talk so much her eyes used to shine is not the same anymore. She's like a broken glass doll, her strength is gone to fight anymore. All she yearns for is happiness and peace as well as being united with her spouse. She doesn't care about eating, she sleeps late the tears stinging her eyes as she stares at the walls and ceiling. Silence has zipped her lips tight, dry and chapped they are. No one understands her apart from her creator. Despite her aching body and heart she still tries to hold on. She reminds herself she will gain ease after hardship. Taunted about going down late whilst others sleep later than her, but nothing is said to them. Sometimes the darkness engulfs her, crushing her as the tightness in her chest doesn't let her breathe. Everyone is looking forward to the new year, but the thoughts that whir like machinery in her mind don't let her hope instead she just thinks I don't know what this year will bring.
