INT. PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE

Flicker is slouched in a chair in front of the principal's desk. Behind the desk, the PRINCIPAL, a young woman dressed immaculately, is typing on a state-of-the-art computer that is projecting data and messages in the air around her head. Flicker is staring at the floor, idly swinging her feet back and forth.

The door swings open and Flicker's mother rushes in. Both Flicker and the principal look up, and Flicker manages a weak smile as her mother hugs her daughter's head to her stomach.

Flicker's mom takes a seat next to her daughter and looks beseechingly at the principal.
