Lucky for me, the door opened. I hoped that this would be the first of many things happening in my favor. I sent in the first wave of droids, then the second. The clones couldn't hold them back.
When I entered the room, every clone was either dead, or injured. I smiled at the success.
"Keep these clones on lock down until I say so. We can-" I started but my eyelids had turned res. I felt the need to look to my right. I saw a clone raise his blaster at me and my immediate reaction was to manipulate the force to grab the blaster from his hand into mine. I pointed the blaster at him.
"Is there a problem, my dear?" I smiled at him, although of course he couldn't see my smile. All he could see are my black painted eyes gleaming at him. I loved that. I loved the mystery that came with this. He hadn't a single clue as to who I was. None of them did.
The clone stayed silent. I leaned my head to the side. "Darling, this'll never work if you don't communicate with me." I crouched down beside him. I threw the blaster down, took off his helmet gently, then I held my saber to his neck, "It's okay, I think there's a way you can make it up to me. And I won't have to kill you and the rest of your friends. If you won't talk to me, maybe you'll talk to your General?"
"I will never betray my General." The clone said, "My brothers and I are always willing to die for the Republic."
"That's really a shame, pumpkin." I turned off my lightsaber then held my hand in front of his face. I searched his mind, I tried to find if Anakin said where he was going. But I wasn't strong enough in the Force to find it. So I held him stiff against the wall.
"You're going to call Anakin and ask him where he is." I told him, "And if you won't, I'm sure one of your friends will oblige."
"O-Ok-k-ay" the clone stuttered. I smiled and let him go to make his call.
"You will contact Skywalker now." I kindly waved my hand in front of his face. These Clones were so easy to manipulate.
"I will contact Skywalker now." The Clone said.
"Good." I said, standing. I watched as he lifted his arm to his face.
"Come in, Anakin." The Clone said, "We've held off the droids, sir. What is your location?"
I yelled as soon as he ended. I should've told him what to say! Now he's said Anakin that's a dead give away, all these Clones would only call him General or sir. He must've thought of it when I said Anakin. I wanted to kill him. But I thought, what's a better punishment than letting him live?
"Keep all the Clones here, I want them captured and sent to my Master. He'll have fun with them." I demanded, after Anakin didn't respond, "I want Destroyers sent with me. I'm sure they've already called in reinforcements, if that's the case hold them off as long as possible."
"If they have Jedi reinforcements we don't have enough troops to hold them off." One of the droids said.
"Then call in Grievous." I told him. Grievous can handle battles, I wanted to handle Anakin and the Huttlet.
I danced around the prison. Trying to track him. With me I brought a life form detector. I hopped from building to building until I found them. The back entrance.
I stood on the roof of the entrance and waited until they had just left the door. I dropped down in the entrance. My Destroyers then followed and rolled in through the hall. We had them cornered, the only place they had to go was off the cliff.
I ignited my saber and twirled it in my hand.
"Dooku's assassin?" Ahsoka looked at me, she squinted her eyes then looked up at her Master.
"Ahsoka take care of the Destroyers. I've got this." Anakin said, standing straighter.
"Master, but the Hutt-" She started but wouldn't have a conversation with her now.
"Ahsoka!" Anakin scolded her and she was on her way.
I on the other hand stayed right in place, staring at him. He looks so much older, much more rugged. I swallowed these feelings in my throat. I wanted to push forward my need to make sure this mission goes well. If it doesn't, there's no telling what might happen to me.
I stepped forward outside the door, and I looked over at the controls, I used the force to shut the large metal door, locking his padawan inside.
"Leta, stop!" Anakin yelled, holding his hand out to me, "Leta, I don't want to fight you!"
"You said that last time." I told him, "But you will. You have to. I'm the enemy now, aren't I?"
"Is this what you want? You want to be a Separatist? You want millions of people to be oppressed?" Anakin asked, he was confusing me. The things that were wired into my head began getting jumbled.
"I don't know what you're talking about." I muttered. I ignited my wrist sabers.
"Leta, stop it! You don't have to do this! I know you! I know who you are!" Anakin yelled.
"You don't know me." I hissed. I shook my head trying to rid myself of these thoughts, "The separatists need me. I like it here. They don't make me feel anything."
"Feel anything? Leta, what are you talking about?" Anakin asked, "They don't need you. They could kill me if they wanted to. Look what they've done to you, they've put things into your body, how do you know if your human? They're testing you, Leta. And you don't want to kill me."
I couldn't help myself, the small part of me that was still a child had to ask: "Why haven't you told anyone that you know it's me?"
"You know why."Anakin kept his face stone, staring down at me.
"I want the Huttlet. That's it." I growled, he began backing up towards the edge. He looked over his shoulder and saw my droids shooting out from beneath him. I hated it but I held my right hand dagger saber to his chest, "Give me the Huttlet."
"Come with me." Anakin demanded.
I just stared at him. I couldn't say yes or no. I wasn't sure which area of myself would respond. He looked into my eyes, his face illuminated by the red color of my hands. For a moment I looked at my hands, the red on then for a moment made me think I had blood on them. I began breathing heavy. I can't fail this mission.
"I can't fail this mission." I felt my body react in a way that was completely foreign to me, "I will not fail my Master."
Anakin looked down, then up at me. "The offer will always be on the table." And then he fell back, over the edge and out of my grasp.
