This is the role of the secondary protagonist. They are on the outside looking in, trying to figure out just what exactly are the experiments are going on the facility. They're also investigating the continuous disappearances of children around neighborhoods close to the lab.

Camera Men manage the live filming
Voice Men manage the live audio.
Investigators work behind the scenes, gathering facts and reports and taking photos of certain scenes.
Editors and Special Effects work behind the scenes, editing the live footage to have certain aspects in it. They also watch camera feed.
