Nine.

I'm sorry, but I'm still having writer's block. I've heard it's good to take a small break from the book when this happens.

I know what I want to happen in the book, I just don't know when. Anyway, here's the chapter.
---------------------------

You got out of bed and took a shower, washing your hair. After you dried yourself off, you put on a (favorite band) shirt. You also put on a pair of black jeans.

You blow dried your hair while brushing it. You grabbed your favorite book and sat down, opening it. "Let's see. . . Chapter One."

--

You heard the doorbell ring. Sighing, you put your bookmark in the book and walked over to the door. You opened it, "I'm not expecting anyone."

"Oh, I was hoping we could hang out. You know, go to the carnival?" Jean looked at you, hopeful. You looked over his shoulder to see Marco and Eren wave at you from the car.

"Uh, sure. Yeah." You nodded. "Hang on, I'll be right back." Before Jean could reply, you ran to your room and put on your pair of black vans.

You walked out the door and closed it before entering the car. You quickly sent a text to your Mom, saying you were going to the carnival with friends.

"(y/n)!" Connie cheered.
The
"Hey." You smiled. "Wait, when did you get here?"

Jean shrugged before putting on his seat belt. "I was wondering the same thing."

"What? I asked Eren if I could tag along."

"You did?" Eren blinked, surprised and confused.

"Yeah. I just got into the back of the car. But. . ." He jumped over and into one of the back seats. "This works out better."

"Er, Con, I don't think there are enough seats." You sighed. He was in-between you and Eren. It wasn't comfortable.

"Don't worry, it's fine." He smiled.

"Okay." You glanced towards the window. "Are you and Sasha a thing?"

"Hm? No. Everyone thinks so, but it's not true. At least, I don't think it is. We don't know what will happen in the future, you know?" Connie replied.

"I guess that's true. We don't really know, do we?" You looked down at your phone. "But, hopefully it's something good."

"I think it will be. I doubt we'd get to suffer from changes." Eren said.

"Maybe. Or maybe it's something bad that will turn into something good, in the end." You shrugged.

"I guess we don't have a clue. We just have to be okay with what will happen. It depends on how you deal with it." Jean added, turning the steering wheel to the left.

"Yeah. You have a point." You nodded. You looked out the window. "Hey, there's the carnival, right?"

"Yep. We're going to have a tough time finding a parking spot." Jean sighed. "This is a popular carnival."

"Don't worry, we just have to deal with it in a positive way." You gave him a small smile.

He chuckled. "Yeah."

Marco put his phone away. "Sorry, my mom texted me."

"It's fine." You said.

"(y/n), did you check-in with your mom?" Eren asked.

"Mhm. But, I didn't have to. I just chose to."

"You don't have to? That would be amazing. I could go wherever and my mom would always let me!" Jean exclaimed.

"Yeah. But, how do you know they really love you? Mothers are supposed to care because they care, right?" You continued staring out the window.

"Yeah."

An awkward silence followed that conversation.

"So. . ."

"So. . ."

"I spy with my little eye something. . . Green." Eren said.

"The trees?" You asked.

"Yep. How did you know?"

"That's the only green object around us and out there." You shrugged.

"Oh." Eren blinked. You both started laughing.

-------------------

I think I'm getting my inspiration back. I know what I want to happen in the next chapter. So, updates shouldn't be this slow. I really am sorry.

I love you and thanks for not giving up on the story.
