Eight.
"Hey, I think I'll go to the carnival." You said, drawing.
"Really? Great!" Eren smiled.
"Yeah." You replied.
"You could get a ride from us." Marco offered.
You nodded. "Sure, yeah. Thank you."
"No problem." The freckled boy said.
"This is going to be great. We'll all be at the carnival and we can hang out!" Eren exclaimed.
You nodded. "But, please try not to argue with Jean that much."
"What?! He's the one who starts it--"
"Listen to yourself. You're arguing."
"Sorry."
"It's fine." You said. "What time does the carnival start?"
"Uh. . . Six thirty." Eren replied. "I'm going to get a ride with Marco and Jean."
"Fine." Jean sighed.
The bell rang. You got up and grabbed your backpack, putting it on. "See you later, guys."
"Bye." Eren did the same. So did Jean and Marco.
"Bye." Marco said.
"Bye." You smiled. Jean and you had the same class to go to. "Jean,"
"Yes?" He asked.
"Well, I was wondering if you, you know, wanted to get my number. As friends."
"Sure." He smiled.
You grabbed a worksheet you got back and turned it over, writing your number on it. You handed it to him. "That's it."
"Thanks."
"No problem." You both walked to History.
The teacher went over the Revolutionary war and assigned partners. You were paired up with Jean.
"Want to hear a George Washington joke?" Jean whispered to you.
"What?" You whispered back.
"Why did George Washington's dad not get mad at him after he cut down the tree?"
"I don't know. Why?"
"He still had the axe in his hand."
You stared at him. "Yeah, and that's why you never hear about his Dad."
"What?" Jean asked. "Actually. . . Huh. . ." He looked in thought.
You laughed. "I'm kidding."
"It might be true. You never know." Jean said.
"Unless I do know."
"Pfft, you don't."
"Augustine Washington was his dad. He was born in 1694 at Westmoreland County, Virginia. He died at Stafford County, Virginia in 1743." You stated.
"How do you remember that?!" Jean exclaimed.
"I guess I have a good memory, I don't know." You shrugged.
"You never fail to amaze me, (l/n)." Jean muttered, shaking his head slowly.
"Good to know, Kirstein. You do great in school." You complimented him.
"Thanks."

I'm going to get started on the next chapter.
While you're waiting for updates on this book, we can do a Q&A. Just comment a question on the most recent chapter and I'll reply.
I love you. Stay awesome.
