He actually did it. Michael actually pushed me into the fountain. This is what I get for letting my brother talk me into going to a casino in a short dress and high heels. I know I asked him to help me get out of my comfort zone, but this isn't what I had in mind. Coming to a supposedly "kid-friendly" casino that offers shots to anyone that looks 16 and can pay for it was not what I had in mind for my first night of being this "New Lori" Michael keeps going on about. Unfortunately, there's no going back now.

Michael just laughs his butt off since not only did he make me fall into the fountain, I managed to also pull in a random guy with me. A head popped up out of the water beside me, huffing like that old wolf from the children's story. "What the heck was that?!" His tone should have frightened me; I have never been one to like being yelled at. Instead, I laughed. Michael helped the guy out of the fountain. The stranger wore a purple dress shirt and black dress pants which were now soaking wet. He turned to me, probably to yell again. His face was roughly the shade of the red 5-dollar chips being passed around the table on the casino floor below us. My laughter only seemed to anger him more. The laughs faded to giggles and then to light breathing as I stood up in the fountain.

"Sorry, I really didn't mean to make you fall." My voice came out a bit weaker than I meant for it to; I blame that on the laughing fit and not the fact that this stranger's toned muscles are showing themselves off under his wet shirt. He huffs and lends me his hand. One of the heels I wore into the casino broke on the fountain's edge, which led to another graceless fall onto the man. This time however, he was ready to keep us from hitting the concrete floor. I looked up at him with an easy smile and another apology for falling onto him. His eyes locked onto mine for a second. His piercing cold grey eyes startled me.

"Your name?" His voice sounded softer, calmer than before.

"Lori... yeah call me Lori."

His dark eyebrows lifted in sync with each other, "Well, Lori, do you think you could try to not fall on me when I let go of you?"

A new wave of confidence flooded my system from who knows where. "Why? Do you not want me to fall for you just yet?" I pulled myself out of his hold to stand in front of him, thinking, "I might as well have some actual fun before we leave."

"Let me make it up to you...?" I smiled.

He met my offer with a curt, "Simon."

"Okay, Simon. Drinks? I'm buying?"

Simon nodded with a smirk, "Okay babe."

Michael spoke up, "Babe?! Drinks?! Delores!"
