A/N: Thanks to this cute fella @explainblyme for this cover above. I love you more than Winnie the Pooh loves honey my Fireflakers! Kisses and hugs, lots of nutella.
Quesoftheday: What do you do when you're too sad?
Liam, Zayn and I finally finish our lunch. I love to be accompanied by these two boys. Though Liam is not in my class but we understand each other pretty well. And Zayn is the most understanding person I've ever seen. We can go through everything really well because of the similarities in our way of thinking.
Paying the bill, we all return to our dormitory and I leave a satisfactory breathe not seeing Harry in the room. I grab a white lace full sleeve top and a high waist white skirt which's hem ends an inch above my knees. A red ribbon is hung around the skirts waistline so it's not so simple for a party. Confirming my dress and shoes, I curl my hair before putting on some mascara only.
I decide to call Harry and ask him if he wants to join the party anyway. I call him on his number several times but he doesn't pick up. I know so well that none of us is going to say sorry to each other as always. So it's better to move on with normal conversation like we always do.
Starting our conversation normally after quarrelling is a sorry for us.
I walk to my phone and open the message box as it blinks, thinking maybe it's a text from Harry.
*I'm downstairs, waiting for you. - Zayn*
Shoving my cell phone inside my red clutch, I slid in my red heels and walk fast downstairs.
"Hey." I smile as I see Zayn already smiling. I really love the way he always plasters a smile on his face, it's really heartwarming and comforting at the same time. If someone has a bad mood, he can fix that person's mood only by a smile.
"You're looking pretty. I mean you always do but you look different pretty tonight." He tells looking down at his moving feet. I blush looking at a shy Zayn.
"Thanks, you're looking hotter than everyday." He's wearing a black full sleeve t-shirt and a black jeans but he's rocking it anyway, as always. His cute and shy smile is the best dress he never forgets to wear.
"Let's go, Liam is already in the car." He smiles and we both walk to the car.
"Hi Liam." I smile and he smiles back widely, the little crinkles beside his eyes ornamenting his whole face.
Gossiping on the whole way, Liam finally parks the car in front of an apartment and we walk to the lift lobby silently. Climbing to 21st floor the lift's doors open and we discover that we're on the rooftop.
The large smokey place is full of girls and boys, dancing in the timid pinkish light. It reminds me of my first party at Sarah's. The way Louis misbehaved with me, the sudden appearance of Harry to save me- all of those memories.
Isn't Harry the one who is always there when I need someone to help me?
Always? Always.
"Cool!" Liam smiles looking around, rubbing his one palm with another.
"Not bad to be honest, right Snow?" Zayn asks interlacing our fingers, caressing my knuckles gently.
"Yes, way better than my first party ever!" I smile looking at him and he nods, smiling.
"Hey guys! See, you two are at the party now! My parties are not that bad. Welcome." Ashley comes towards us and smiles.
She surprises me by a warm hug. She has worn pink as always, her blonde hair perfectly curled up and I notice she has colored few strands of her hair in pink in the middle. Two of her friends, who always stays with her, comes to us and give us a welcoming smile.
"Thanks." I smile and Ashley passes me a glass of something.
"I don't drink Ashley." I shrug my shoulders and ignore scrunching my nose.
It isn't like I don't like the taste or something. I've seen a lot of expensive glass bottles in my father's bar in his mancave, I've smelt it so close in Michael's breath every night when he'd kiss my cheeks before going to bed. But whenever I tried to drink those hypnotizing liquors, I was afraid it'd refresh my past, my horrible past which includes my missing brother and his drunk state. All the quarreling, broken glasses scattered all over the floor, I just don't wanna recall those moments.
"Come on, your boyfriend won't mind. Right?" She winks looking at Zayn and Zayn looks at her being shocked, unlocking our fingers with a jerk.
"Oh he's not my boyfriend, we're friends." I look at Zayn and watch him blushing like a girl.
"Sorry....I thought you two are.....never mind. Just drink this, believe me it'll not effect that much." She coos and finally I and Zayn both agree to try it.
"Ugh....not bad. What's this called?" Zayn smiles jerking his head.
"It's vodka, it's famous in B queen's party." One of the friend's of Ashley tells and passes Zayn another. I keep watching as he drinks it.
"Woah man, slow down." Liam laughs grabbing a small cup.
Ashley, her best friend Linda, Zayn, Liam and I gossip standing in a corner. Meanwhile, a boy serves us more drinks and I stop drinking when I feel my head is spinning.
"Liam can you drive me at my dorm r....room? I'm not feeling good." I tell Liam blinking twice.
"Okay. Zayn stay here, I'm coming back in minutes." Liam tells and walks towards the elevator as I follow him.
I jerk my head and blink several times to get a better view but it's getting worse with time. I shouldn't have drunk this much. Maybe a few rounds and I'm feeling like a headless zombie now.
"Why are there so many wheels in your car Lee-yum? Wow! Your name sounds so yummy Lee-yummm!" I chuckle when Liam makes me sit in the car and starts driving.
"Why your name is Liam? Lima Bean is better!" I giggle placing my legs on the dashboard.
"Are you sure you're gonna make it to your room?" Liam asks and opens the car door on my side after we reach the dormitory.
"Yeah, thanks. Take out the extra four wheels off your car, four is enough for one car." I smile foolishly and walk towards the staircase with trembling feet. I take my shoes in my hand and walk to my room.
Failing to search for the keys with my blurry vision, I finally knock on the door and smile stupidly looking at Harry when he opens the door.
"You're......drunk?" Harry asks widening his eyes, standing on the door.
"I guess so." I give him a toothy smile and he walks inside the room rolling his eyes.
"You tell me you're not going to a party and then you're going to the party and drinking and coming back with a 3D vision and 4D smile, wasted!" He almost yells.
"I was gossiping and I thought it'll not affect that much. They were drinking more and more and mooreeee and it tastes so good." I yell putting my hands on my waist and a few teardrops escapes from the corner of my eyes too.
"I thought you................."
He is cut off when I walk fast towards the bathroom putting my hands over my mouth. Lowering my body, I finally throw up. Damn!
Harry passes me a wet towel as I walk out of the bathroom. I wipe my face using the towel and sit on the floor leaning against the edge of my bed.
"I'm sorry." I tell rolling my bottom lips, weeping.
"For what?" Harry asks with a soft tone.
"For drinking this much, I didn't drink like this ever but it tasted good and I was feeling refreshed." I cry and Harry keeps staring at me.
"What?" I utter as he remains motionless.
"Nothing." He jerks his head and sits on the floor beside me.
"I'm feeling so weird............and tired too. I miss everyone; Mom, dad, Mike, Mani, you too." I cry keeping my head on his shoulder.
"I'm here, why are you missing me!" He wraps me with his long arm and pulls me closer. The familiar warmth and scent eases me. This is way more comfortable than those horrible colored drinks.
"Don't drink like this again." He whispers and I nod against his arm.
"What do you do when you feel bad?" I ask raising my head a little so that I can see his face.
"I drive to an empty place and keep staring at the sky lying on my car. When I can't go with this option, I throw whatever is in front of me."
"What if I'll be in front of you? Will you throw me away too?" I giggle and a hiccup skips from my throat.
"Have to think about it." He tells messing up my hair and then stands up. I stand up and sit on my bed crossing my legs.
"Take this." Harry comes with a glass of water and passes it to me.
"Not working." I tell when my hiccups don't stop after drinking it.
"Snow!" Harry yells and I nearly jump sitting, being nervous, still hiccupping.
"Didn't work, I thought you'll stop hiccupping if I scare you." He sighs and I reply by another hiccup, nodding.
"Cockroach!" He yells. I Scream loudly and jump up on his lap.
"Where?" I ask nervously looking at him and he laughs.
"Nowhere, finally it worked." He tells while laughing and I frown.
He rolls his eyes when another hiccup skips my mouth and then another after I cover my mouth with my hands. I look at him with a sorry look and sit back on the bed again.
I look above when I feel Harry coming towards me. Plastering a huge smirk over his face, he pulls his t-shirt over his head and keeps forwarding towards me. I take a few moments to admire his exposed body parts but jerk away my drunken thoughts anyway.
"What are you doing Harry?" I ask him nervously moving backwards but he doesn't answer.
I stop moving when I feel the headboard against my back. My lips apart to keep pace with my abnormal speed of breathing. I swallow the large lump in my throat when he appears so close that I can feel the heat radiating from his inked body.
"See you're not hiccupping! I knew this is gonna work. As a reward I'm sleeping on your bed tonight." He lies down on the bed surprising me. I realize that I'm not hiccupping anymore.
"Phew! Thank you!" I smile leaning closer to him and he smiles. I pretend to be normal when I was actually on the edge of dying a while ago.
I jump off the bed and change my clothes. Putting on a t-shirt and shorts, I go towards my bed.
"We could cuddle." Harry pouts and I agree without thinking. I need a cuddle anyway.
His sweet attitudes never fail to hypnotize me. I lay down beside him keeping a distance but he pulls me to him by grabbing the hem of my shorts.
"Okey okey I'm coming here." I giggle as he pulls me more to him.
"We can be friends and act normal in one condition." He tells hugging my waist from behind.
"And what's the condition?" I ask tilting my head on a side.
"Whatever we do, we'll never be more than friends." He tells in my hair.
"What do you mean whatever we do? Like what you did to me that night? If you're dealing like friends with benefits I'd kick you off the bed." I snap.
"Erm....you're hard to resist but....no, nothing like that." He chuckles.
"Ok, proposal accepted." I pout and he smiles, burying his head in the crook of my shoulder. I ignore the goosebumps on my stomach.
"You're warm and soft." He whispers.
"We both have classes in the morning." I tell.
"I know." He snaps and after a while his soft snores fills the room's atmosphere.
I turn around slowly and tug his curls behind his ears. It's really peaceful to watch him like this. His hand is still wrapped around my waist and the grip hasn't loosened. A smile tucks on my lips when he smiles during his sleep. I've seen babies smiling while sleeping but didn't expect this heavenly gesture from this grown up arrogant boy.
God knows when I'll be able to understand his nature. One time he's sweet and the next moment he's yelling at me, making me cry. I feel my eyelids getting heavy when the moonlight comes through the window beside me, protecting us from the intimate darkness of night.
