"Whoo! That party was totally rad! Now I am totally hyped about my sermon tomorrow! The creative juices will flow out of my mouth!"

"I'm glad... hon..."

Pandreo and you have been married for quite some time now. It would be seven years now since the Divine Dragon saved Elyos. You weren't much of a party person but you still supported your husband's party animal behavior. It was a mystery how the two of you got together. Fire and water, as others put it.

After the final battle, Pandreo proposed to you not a day later. And, you guessed it, your wedding was a party venue. Now you supported your husband in his new religion worshipping all dragons. While you didn't exactly get it, you supported him and his hobbies.

As you were walking back to the church, Pandreo noticed you were quieter than usual. There was a level of quietness he measured with you in the back of his head to know when something was wrong. "Sorry, we should have left earlier. I know you don't like it when they run this late."

"Hmm? Oh, that's not what I was thinking about."

"Then what is it?"

You weren't sure how to put it into words. How did you two fall in love with each other? For you, it was a slow type of burn compared to Pandreo who burned with passion. "I was just wondering... why did you fall for me? I mean, I'm not a party person like you are and quiet compared to you. People whisper about us... I hear them... how they think you made a mistake marrying me."

Pandreo was genuinely surprised by what you just said. Were people whispering about them? Then again, he was always too into the moment to really pay attention to what other people were talking about. He let out a bark of laughter as he pulled you closer to him.

"So what if you're not a party person? I've known that from the beginning. I'm already a loud person and you help keep me grounded. Besides, who cares what other people think?"

"I-I know... but still..."

He stopped walking and pulled you into his arms, wrapping them around your waist as he looked down. "You wanna know why I fell for you? It's because you listen to me. I've met many people in my lifetime who claim they know what I am talking about but then forget afterwards about my ramblings. But you listened to me and even asked questions. After talking and getting to know you more, it was then I knew I needed you in my life. When I proposed to you that day, it wasn't me being spontaneous, it was me seeing a future with you." He moved his face closer to yours, noses touching together. "Everyday I thank the Divine Dragon for bringing us together. You and our children are all I need in this life to be happy."

The cold desert wind blew past as you felt your body shiver. Pandreo noticed your shiver and took off his cloak and put it around your shoulders. This was the first time you heard him talk about his feelings on why he married you. Your doubts and worries disappeared in that instance.

"I... I guess I never told you why I accepted your proposal..."

"Oh? You don't have to share, but I'm not discouraging you either!"

You shook your head. He deserved to know after seven years of marriage. "I will admit, at first, I thought you were annoying to be around. But then after some time together I began to genuinely become interested in what you were talking about over time. It gave me a sense of peace amidst the middle of the war we both fought in. Then... when you proposed to me that day... I will be honest, I had my doubts about marrying you. The Divine Dragon... they told me how much you worried about if your proposal would be too much for someone like me. It was then that I knew right then and there that you would be an amazing husband. And you are an amazing husband and father to our children."

A faint red color spread across his cheeks as he was embarrassed for the first time in ages. It was a rare sight to see as Pandreo usually never got embarrassed over anything. "T-The Divine Dragon told you about that... huh?"

A small chuckle escaped your lips. "They did. But I'm glad, because it helped me realize just how much you cared about me."

"Of course I care about you..." Pandreo mumbled as he rubbed the back of his neck and you quietly giggled to yourself.

The rest of the walk home was quiet as Pandreo had to cool down. The church came into view as the upper windows were still on with lights. The kids were up this late still? A sigh escaped you as you had hoped they were asleep by now. You and Pandreo lived in the church as your house was on the upper level.

Pandreo opened the door, his face beaming with excitement as he knew he was living his best life. "Panette! We're back!"

The sound of footsteps came down from upstairs as out came Panette. You tensed at the sight of her as she was still scary to you after all these years later. After seeing her break the spine of a rather powerful enemy, that was then you knew never to piss her off.

"Brother, you're finally back. How was the party?"

"It was great! Thanks for watching over the kids. I know they can be a bit much."

"I did try to have them go to sleep, but they wanted to have you put them to bed instead."

Little footsteps came down the stairs as your son and daughter came running down with bright smiles on their faces. "Mommy! Daddy!"

Pandreo picked them both up into his arms, laughing and smiling wide as you watched with a warmth in your heart. He was the perfect father as he always was involved with the children. "How was hanging out with Aunt Panette?"

"Aunty Panette is always fun! She taught us how to make clothes!"

"Did she now? It's always fun to learn new things, but it's time for bed. Let us howl for the moon!"

The kids and Pandreo howled out loud as it was the kids' bedtime routine to howl as loud as they could. You thought it was a cute act that brought Pandreo and the kids closer together. As Pandreo brought the kids back upstairs, you were left with Panette.

She came closer as you tensed, making her let out a small chuckle. "You don't have to worry about me. As long as you don't break my brother's heart I won't hurt you... for now."

"Haha... yeah. Thank you for watching over the kids."

"It is my pleasure. See you tomorrow for the sermon."

You saw Panette out the door as you were glad she left. Maybe one day you wouldn't be scared of her anymore. You went upstairs and got ready for bed as Pandreo put the kids to bed.

He entered inside your bedroom, giving you a look. "So, ready for our own 'party' in bed?"

"Hmm... I guess I can 'party' longer."

Life with Pandreo was the dream as you never wanted to change it for anything else. The two of you might be polar opposites, but that didn't stop either of you from loving and supporting one another in both of your times of need.
