《26》
Shit hits the fan [Bro- Sanemi- DO IT]
~·~·~·~
The hall was filled with gasps as the humans bowed at the presence of the (demi)god. Even Muzan had to bow his head in his presence, despite him being a demi-god himself, he has already cut ties with his divine power and title for the throne. [hE's a wHAT?]
Sanemi, however, stood proudly, along with the demons with him. Sanemi himself is the goddess's descendant, so he had no need to bow his head. Well, it's not like he would bow his head to anyone either way.
Giyuu looked around the room, his white and blue, almost water-like robes flowed behind him, looking for someone, Sanemi flinched slightly as he moved behind the people. Giyuu frowned, not happy that he couldn't spot his target.
"Master Giyuu, what a surprise to see you." Muzan greeted politely as he walked to the blue haired man. "It is an honor."
"Yes," Giyuu replied without much emotion. "Muzan, I'm looking for-"
"Master Giyuu!" A deep and loud voice called, everyone turned to face who it was and saw two figures running to the hall, one a Guardian and the other was the student of the demigod. "Ah- Your majesty, forgive us for bargaining so suddenly, but Master Giyuu had run off from the Temple and, of course, I wouldn't just leave him alone."
"Ah, you two cougth up," Giyuu muttered disappointedly as he looked over his Guardian and his student. "Sabito, Tanjiro." Tanjiro chuckled awkwardly as he caught his breath, giving Giyuu a little apology. "I wanted to stay here..."
"It's quite alright," Muzan said, giving him a smile. "You are always welcome in the palace, and my brother is here as well, along with Himejima. You two are welcome as well, Sabito, Tanjiro."
"Really? Thanks." Giyuu replied with a slight, tiny, itsy bitsy, little smile.
'Oh great, he's here...' Sanemi clicked his tongue, avoiding the man's eyes. 'And where are they...?' He looked around, looking for Koichi and the twins, hoping that they didn't get caught.
"Now then, dear guests," Muzan began, gaining everyone's attention as he spoke, Giyuu, Sabito and Tanjito right besides him, waiting patiently. "Let our dinner commence."

Sanemi sat in his place on the chair, at the top, near to where the host was and it was also where the highest ranked people were. Sanemi did not bother to strike up a conversation and avoided the burning gaze of a certain someone.
But his focus was not on Giyuu, it was the conversation Muzan was having with Longwan.
"So, where's this queen of yours?" Longwan asked, silently glancing over to Sanemi, knowing full well he was curious as to who the future queen was. "I travelled all the way here to see who was the beauty that caught the attention of someone such as you."
"Mind your manners, Longwan." Arkaan al-Amara, the king of Ghaniu spoke up, giving the emperor a side glance, knowing that he was starting something. He was quite old, and he was alone as he didn't bring his queen or any of his other wives with him.
(I praise those who make thawb with those hand sewn beads and patterns. Making those pattern on this man's shirt was agonizing!) [why does he low-key look h̶o̶t̶ tho]
"Hm, as playful as usual," Muzan scoffed, already used to the emperor's playful tone. "But if you wish to know, the queen is not feeling well, so she's still resting."
"Is she sick?" Ahlaama asked curiously, her head on her palm as she waited for their food. She's bored already, if this was back home, she would have food in front of her already. This is why she didn't want to come in the first place. "If so, I hope that she recovers quickly, I really want to meet her again."
"You've met her?" Sanemi asked, joining in the conversation, making Muzan silently smirk. Ahlaama nodded, telling him that it was long ago. "Long ago...?" He muttered, trying to figure out who this queen might be. 'Who the hell is this woman that the crown princess of Geheim knows but is from this place?'
"Speaking of queens, Sanemi and Alexeis are the only ones here who don't seem to have an official partner." Longwan stated, glancing to the side where the young king of Rodina sat shyly. Sanemi gave the emperor a glare, but Longwan ignored it, only smirking at his anger. "I can understand Alexis as he's only 19 and recently claimed the throne, but for the king of demons to not have a queen after 15 years of reign with twins..."
(oh god the proportions are all wrong--)[Who hurt him. We just need to talk👁👁]
"Now that you mentioned it...." Muzan muttered, glancing to where the demon twins sat, glaring right back at him. "Who is... the mother?"
"I have no obligation to answer." Sanemi spat, turning his head to the side, not wanting the others to see the anger rising in his face. He might just return to his true form and destroy this palace. It would be a shame since this place was relatively nice.
"Oh well, we really can't force you." Longwan shrugged, taking a piece of grape and feeding it to Wangshan. "Anyway, the grand duke, your brother Genya, looks like he has a son."
"What of it?" Sanemi grumbled, already wanting to get out of this conversation.
"I have a daughter whose-"
"I refuse." Sanemi cut Longwan off. "If you're talking about an arranged marriage for political reasons, then you can kiss your dreams away, Longwan." He glared at the man, his eyes glowing red, scaring Wangshan slightly. "Don't get me mad."
"Hmm... what got you so worked up?" Longwan asked, his eyes holding a much more deeper meaning than his question. Longwan can tell something was off. Fifteen years ago, when the previous king died, he was there. And he knew that Genya was not with anyone. "It's almost like... that boy, your brother's son... is-"
"Enough of this." Arkaan cut them off, placing his cup with a slight force, making the table shake due to his power, the others backing off slightly, but Arkaan shot the old king a glare. "We are here to celebrate, not start wars."
"Yes, you are correct." Muzan nodded, calming his guests down. "Let us enjoy dinner for now. And maybe later, the queen might be able to join us."

Sanemi stood to the side, staring at the night sky, counting the stars to ignore the humans inside the castle. With him was Genya and Obanai, also done with the humans inside. The children were inside, on a little corner with four Èxi with them, while the others were hidden.
"Hm?" Shiro's eyes turned to the goddess's child as he walked across the room, the guardian named Sabito following close behind. From where he stood, he could see Tanjiro and Zenitsu talking. He wanted to join in, but his curiosity was towards the blue haired man. "I'm gonna be right back."
The three children turned to him and watched as he walked off, Tengen following behind him. Shiro followed Giyuu as he went over to the balcony, he stood to the side, casually listening in to whom it was that he was looking for.
"Good evening, Sanemi." Giyuu greeted the demon king with a small smile. Sanemi turned to look at his distant relative with an awkward smile, Genya and Obanai standing to the side with a teasing smirk. "Good evening to you too, Obanai, Genya."
"Hello, nice to see you again, Giyuu." Genya returned the greeting while Obanai just nodded slightly. "I haven't seen you since two months ago at the island."
'Island? Are they talking about that place?' Shiro asked himself, wondering if it was the island that was given by one of their ancestor's siblings. It would make sense that they were close, since their own ancestors were close.
"Why are you here?" Sanemi asked, not wanting to waste another minute standing here doing nothing. He still hasn't heard anything from Koichi and the twins, he's starting to get worried.
"I wanted to see you and the kids." Giyuu answered, looking around before casting a spell, rending their words deaf to the human ears. "Shiro's a lot bigger than I remembered."
Sanemi did not answer as he knew that pain he felt would be hard in his voice. And this was not the time for pain and weakness. The queen still has not made her appearance, and Sanemi was getting worried. Shiro, on the other hand, was confused at to what Giyuu had said. Did he know him? If so, from where?
'Oh yeah. I entered the Divine land once, but I suffered injuries doing so...' Shiro remembered. Maybe it was at that time when he followed Yorrichi inside.
"Did you find what we were looking for?" Sanemi asked, changing the subject.
"....Sanemi..." Giyuu muttered, his brows furrowing in worry. Obanai and Genya raised a brow, wondering what it was that bothered him. Giyuu barely showed any emotion. "You know that we on the Divine Lands can't interfere nor can we have any bias on the people..."
"And?" Sanemi asked.
"I... couldn't find (Y/N)'s dead body..." Giyuu answered truthfully. Sanemi groaned as he ran his hand through his hair, now he had to go back to square one. "...But... there's something you should-" [technically he really didn't find (Y/N)'s dead body]
"SANEMI!" The familiar voice of Koichi caught the attention of the four and they immediately turned their gaze below the balcony where Koichi and the twins stood, panting and tired from running.
Their eyes were shaking in both fear and confusion, Muichiro was tearing up as he was held by his brother. They jumped up, ignoring that they were still on their true form. They had no time for this. They had no time to change appearances. They had no time to stand around after...
After finding her...
"Sanemi..." Koichi's voice cracked as he called for the king. "She's... She's... here..."
"(Y/N)?!" Sanemi gasped, Shiro heard the name and he showed himself, surprising them. "What the-?"
Tengen had heard it as well and he immediately told Tamayo and get the children to them, as they had discussed if they were to find (Y/N).
"Where's my mother?" Shiro asked, placing his hand on his uncle's shoulder. But Koichi could not answer as he looked at the ground, his eyes still wide in shock. "Uncle. Where did you see my mother?"
Shiro's heart pounded in his chest, the desire to see his mother once again rushing through him. He wanted to see her again. Even if it meant seeing her in her eternal rest. He just wanted to say one final goodbye and tell her what he had found out in these past few months.
Back inside the ballroom were the twins, Tamayo approached them with a worried look. She stood next to Kohana and whispered something to her. The moment Kohana heard the news, she took hold of both her brother and Aiko and began to drag them to where Tengen was standing. His build was impossible to spot.
But just as they made it in the middle of the dance floor, the twins stopped as they suddenly felt something strange inside them react. Something strange yet so familiar... so warm... and such a lovely feeling. It was like being held in the arms of someone...
Koichi sobbed as he tried his best to tell what he learned. His breathing was uneven as he opened his mouth. His voice was low and silent, but to Sanemi and Shiro, it sounded as clear as day.
As clear at the announcement of the man...
"The king and the saintess, Muzan and (Y/N)!"
Sanemi and the others marched back inside, he didn't believe what he had just heard. He didn't want to believe what he heard. There was no way. (Y/N) was alive and well. And...
In the distance he could see her, smiling lovingly. A smile that he hasn't seen in ages. The smile that made him fall in love and stand up to his father. The person that encouraged him to take the throne to change the lives of those who deserved better.
Such a caring and fond smile.
But it wasn't for him.
It was for the man that held her hand, guiding her with a smile. The man that Sanemi had seen as his enemy for as long as he can remember, Muzan.
'I'm going to kill that bastard.' There was nothing else but anger in Sanemi's mind. He didn't care anymore. Just everything in him snapped. Seeing the one he truly loved with the one he hated the most was the last straw Muzan was going to pull.
Death was near, and it was for Muzan.
This wedding was going to turn into a funeral real soon. [DO IT!! KILL HIM SWEETIE!!]
