Chapter 32

Feather After // Chapter 32 // Bolt

Aria' POV

Don't ask me, how I found myself standing at the door, waiting for the guy who I would soon address as my fiancé. The most cliché part was that today was our first day, while I stood on the pavement of my house, wearing a pair of black jeans, a white coloured top which had floral designs made up of net on the front side and it was so transparent from the back that I had to wear a white camisole on the inside. With my phone stuffed in my pocket and some money in the other, I waited and waited with my painted eyelids.

Soon I saw a car pull over, I smiled and walked towards the car, well aware that Nanna, father, and mother where all peaking through different Windows and panels in the house while trying not to make it that obvious that they were. White my nude pencil heals that I had borrowed from my mother, I carefully walked so that I wouldn't make a fool out of myself. The last thing I wanted was, blood pouring down my face and I was more scared for my moms heals, she said that they were her favorite piece from Prada.

"You look nice," Zachariah said while he scrambled out of the driver's seat to open my door, I could literally feel my mother gushing because she thought he was a gentleman.

"Someone is in the talking mode today, thank-you," I said and slipped inside the car while trying to not sit on my hair. My long hair was tied in a ponytail but they still reached my butt.

"Aren't you funny?" He started the car and it roared to life. He rolled his eyes. And he turned his head back to steer while trying to get the car out of my driveway.

"I get that a lot," I looked at my house, for the last time before Leaving. I then turned to look at Zachariah who was way too handsome for my own good. With his black tie, white shirt and black tailored dress suit he looked heavenly. I would have had a total crush on him off I hadn't fallen for Ignatius.

Ignatius and Zachariah were two very different persons with personalities like north and south poles. Zachariah was a gentleman he thought something else and said something else. And on the other hand, Ignatius had no god damn filter in his mouth, he said whatever he felt and sometimes he didn't think what he was saying. To be honest, one could say that Ignatius was a piece of shit who had loads of tattoos but he was real.

If he wanted to get into your pants he made sure you knew his intention before he took any actions, like I knew Zachariah was forced to take me out on a date but he behaved as if he was genuinely interested in me, but he clearly wasn't. I huffed and tried my best to not think about it.

"I never thought, you're into fights," he explained and the thrill in his voice didn't go unnoticed by me. His eyes twinkled and I could feel the excitement radiating through his body.

Wait, what fight?

I raised my eyebrow at him and thought of things that I could say to make it look like I knew what he was saying. Maybe he was talking about some movie which had fights. You never know what these boys think these days, they could boast about call of duty the whole day and then watch Barney like it was no big deal.

"You know, I thought you're a boring person, you know? I mean the typical rich girl but after today, wow my opinion on you has totally changed," he looked at me and smiled. I smiled back at him, just the way my mother smiled when she got to know that I had called a girl, 'daughter of a pig' when I was in kindergarten.

What the fuck was happening?

"So can you tell me exactly where are we going? Nanna kept saying that it was a surprise," I looked at him because I wanted answers. If he couldn't tell where were going, I guess I could use his facial expressions to fund some answers.

"So there is a fight in the downtown, it's totally illegal, and the fun part is you could bet on a fighter, the fighters are not that old, so it's great to watch!" He smiled and continued driving.

Fuck!

What should I do now? I asked myself. Should I tell him that I had told father option two before he had said anything? I didn't want to spend his money to lavish stuff but clearly, I wasn't interested in seeing a guy getting his ass beaten by another not so in a good mental health guy. Oh my god, what had I gotten my self into? The best thing that I could do what to close my eyes when the fight began and open it when the fight got over or I could just toughen up and watch the fight and sleep with Nanna my whole life.

"Will there be a lot of drink and mad guys?" I asked him and turned to look at him. He smiled when he heard me say that.

"Well, we'll have a booth to ourselves so I'm pretty sure no drunk guy will be there. The place where we are going to sit in the best place for the viewers? We are lucky we got it!" He chirped.

So very lucky.

I soon felt him slowing the speed of the car and then in no time Zachariah had parked his car in front of this old beaten up building. It was black white and get in color and looked like it had been set on fire. There was no music and only silence could be heard.

"Come on this way. This looks very bad in the outside, but wait till you see the inside," I heard him mumble. He started walking in the opposite direction of the building and I followed him. After walking a while, he stopped in front of a drainage cap and tapped on it, two times.

"Password?" I suddenly heard the voice coming from the drainage cap.

Harry Potter much?

"Zachariah with a guest," I heard him say and suddenly the drainage cap flew open. There were stairs on one side of the wall and it was all dark. Imagine, a cylindrical hole filled with darkness and Zachariah wanted me to follow him inside the tunnel? What if people saw us. What would they think of us? Oh god. No way I was going to do that. No way. No fucking way.

"I don't think so-" I started to express my disapproval but then Zachariah interrupted me.

"Trust me," he said and he put the palm of his hand on my shoulder blade, "we will be fine please don't worry." If fine meant dying in a black cylindrical hole then why not?

So with all being said and done, I pushed Zachariah to go in first because he said that he knew this place which existed in a hole. It almost felt as in was going inside the underworld to save my Salvator lover with his brother Damon so thrilling. Zachariah turned around and put his one feet on the first stair while he bent down his hips to put the other leg on the metal bar below it. I would rather push him inside the thing and run for my life but considering that we're going to get married by the end of the year, I couldn't do that.

Zachariah Absalon and Aria Rhett lovers of the past, died eight months before their wedding, in a fucking whole rest in peace.

We are sending prayers to their family and friends.

I took a deep breath and followed him. I lowered my bottom just like he did. When he gave me the signal I followed him. The metal bars were very cold. It was so icy that they were sticking on my hand and I wanted to scream on top of my lungs. I mentally cursed everyone who led me to this. This was all their fault.

I suddenly felt something hard beneath my left feet. Thank-god we were on drowned again, even if the ground was way below our original ground.

"Zachariah I think I found the ground," I explained.

"That's not the ground Aria, that's my head you have your feet on."

Oh.

"I'm so sorry-" I growled and looked up. It seemed like we have descended a lot of stairs because all I saw was darkness. "How much more time will it take?" I inquired because the Next time, I wouldn't hesitate to crush his brainless head with my mother's favorite pair of Prada.

I looked down and I saw the lights. There was a lot of light and I could hear loud music playing on the background. Where the hell were we? I soon felt my feet touch the real ground and I thanked the lord.

"How much do you weight woman?" He said while rubbing his thick head.

"Enough to crush you, if I sit my ass on you," I rolled my eyes at him and continued, "now where are we headed?"

Before I could say anything, the wall in front of us moved back and what was behind it looked like a stadium. He lead me to the place and when I turned to look around, the wall was back in its place, and nobody could think that it would move. There was a square uplifted place at the center and it was big enough for two people to beat themselves in. The square uplifted place was however covered by glass.

"The fight starts there, and the glass is closed. The game makers do not open the glass until one of them had died or given up. As soon as someone gives up, the other fighter can't hit him anymore. These are the two basic rules that you should know before the fight starts." He said and I gulped.

"This way," he held my hand and he started taking me towards the other Side of the stadium. People have started coming in. The people were not dressed the way we're dressed. We looked sophisticated but they, on the other hand, looked comfortable, excited and thrilled. There were no children around there.

"Aria this is Bolt. He is one of the best fighters here," I turned to look at the bolt guy and I froze when I saw him. His face was covered in his hood. He moved his hand and I saw it, there was a flower tattoo on his left Palm right beside his thumb.

Then I remembered something, I have a tattoo of a flower made by my little sister.

He turned his hand and right below the thumb of his left hand there, it was. A delicate flower which looked like a three-year-old drawer would make, the lines were shaken and I could be clearly seen that all the flower tattoo was deliberately made like that.
