Date
I hooked the necklace Luffy gave me for our first Christmas together around my neck. I looked back at the picture of me and Luffy at the Valentine's Day Dance from the same year. I smiled at it.
"Man... It feels so long ago..." I said to myself. I smiled at the picture.
"Ai! Ai! Lu!" Kai yelled as he came running in to my room. I smiled at him.
"Yup, I'm gonna go see Luffy." I said. Kai smiled at me and pointed at the picture on my desk.
"Lu!" He said. I smiled and kissed my baby brother's cheek.
"Yup. That's Luffy and I in school together." I said. He giggled and hugged me. Kai was a very huggy baby. I carried Kai back out to Makino.
"Alright, I'm off for my date with Luffy." I said as I handed Kai off to her. She smiled brightly at me.
"Have fun, honey. Remember to use condoms if you two decide to make up for lost time tonight." She said with a wink. I groaned.
"Mom, please!" I said as my cheeks heated up again. Makino giggled and kissed my cheek.
"I'm kidding. But still, be prepared for future reference. You never know when you two decided to-"
"Okay, that's enough." Dad intervened. Makino giggled and walked over to him and kissed his cheek.
"Thanks, Dad." I said.
"Have fun, baby girl. But, like Makino said, be careful." He said. I smiled.
"Come on, I'll be with Luffy. The worst that could happen is he punches another guy for flirting with me." I giggled. I grabbed the keys to my Buick off of the hook and headed for the door.
"See you later!" I called and headed for my silver Buick. I drove up the hill to Luffy's place.
I had often still gone there during the two years to hang out with Sabo and Yue and take care of Chopper when they were out on dates. They had gotten very serious about each other over these past two years.
I walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. When the door opened I couldn't stop my grin. Aoi stood there, holding a two year old boy with sky blue hair, dark brown eyes and freckles in her arms.
"Aisuru! Hi!" She said and hugged me. I happily returned the hug.
"Hi, Aoi! This cute little guy must be your baby!" I said and smiled at him. He gave me a shy smile and hid his face in Aoi's chest.
"Yup! This is my little Rogue! Rogue, this is Aisuru. She's uncle Luffy's girlfriend. Can you say hi?" Aoi cooed to him. He peaked up at me.
"Hi..." He said shyly. I smiled at him.
"Hi, Rogue!" I said. He smiled at me and hid again.
"He's so cute." I said.
"Hey! Aisuru!" I heard Ace call.
"Hi Ace!" I called back as Aoi pulled me inside. Ace immediately scooped me up in a hug.
"Heya, kiddo! Missed your face!" He teased. I rolled my eyes at the tall freckled mess.
"Missed your face, too, Ace." I said with a giggle.
"I'll go grab Luffy for you." Aoi said as Ace finally dropped me from the hug.
"Luffy told me all about your performance last night. I would have loved to be there, but we were finishing unpacking and Rogue was being a bit fussy." Ace said. I smiled at him.
"It's okay, Ace. You can just come to the next one." I said with a giggle. He grinned at me. Rogue came running back in to the room.
"Daddy!" He squealed and Ace scooped him up.
"Hey, buddy. What's up?" Ace asked. Rogue laughed and hugged his dad, falling asleep on Ace's shoulder immediately after.
"Hee-hee, looks like he's a daddy's boy." I said.
"He's just like his dad, too. Narcolepsy and everything." Aoi said, returning to the room.
"Luffy will be down in just a second." She said, taking a seat on the couch, inviting me to sit beside her. I sat beside her and we watched as Ace rubbed Rogue's back as he slept on his dad's shoulder.
"Rogue is kinda like my little brother, Kai. Though Kai likes to hug everyone." I said. Aoi giggled.
"How cute." She said. I felt two arms wrap around me and I grinned.
"Speaking of cute." I giggled as I felt Luffy nuzzle my neck.
"Hi!" He said. I grinned at him.
"Hi! Ready?" I asked. He grinned and nodded. I stood up and took his hand in mine.
"Then let's go!" I said with a smile. He gave me his signature grin. We headed out.
"Have fun you two!" Ace called.
"Keep it clean!" Aoi called.
"Bye-bye!" Rogue called with a wave. After we climbed in to the car, we headed to the Baratie. Yup. A dinner date. Luffy held my hand as I drove.
"So much has changed since I left..." He said.
"Has it?" I asked. He nodded.
"Yeah. Everything just seems so... different." He said. I shrugged.
"Doesn't seem that different to me." I said. He looked at me.
"But then again, this is what I'm used to. Though, I guess now something has changed. But I like this change." I said.
"What change would that be?" He asked.
"You're here now." I said. He squeezed my hand and grinned at me. I giggled as he did.
"Oh, I was talking to everyone the other day. We've all agreed that every other weekend we'll meet up for Lunch. Law and Aka will be able to make it, too."
I said. Luffy cheered.
"I can wait to see Traffie and Aka again!" He said, making me grin brighter.
As we pulled in to the parking lot, I looked over at him. He was grinning his signature grin, making my heart speed up. I swallowed hard.
After we got out of the car and started walking towards the restaurant, he pulled me close and kissed me. I melted in to the kiss happily. I nuzzled his cheek.
"I love you." I whispered to him. He giggled and kissed my cheek.
"I love you, too, Ai-chan." He said and kissed me again.
I am so much in love with this goof ball.
