Karma looked at Nagisa in utter shock. "A place...to stay?" He choked out as Nagisa nodded shyly.
"You're joking."
"Nope."
"Nagisa, you suck at making me laugh."
Nagisa huffed. "Karma I'm being serious! I got kicked out of my old place 'cuz of this loud damn neighbor making a lie of me being 'too loud.'" Karma looked at him with unsure written all over his face. Nagisa's a great friend, and all, but his Nagisa wouldn't just get kicked out. He would've fought back, and he can tell he's lying.
But....his face is as stoic as Todoroki. Yes I did that- He can't tell if he's lying or not. "Karma? Is there something on my face or...?" Karma blinked as he shook his head in denial. If I let him in my place, I'll get to know what really happened with him. For Nagi... "Yeah sure. I have a guest room anyway, so you can sleep there if you want." Karma explained with a smirk. Nagisa smiled widely as he pounced on Karma, giving him a nice, nice tight hug. Nice 😏 "Thank you so much Karma!! You won't regret it!" The blunette cheered as he ran off, probably getting his stuff.
Karma sighed as he shook his head, biting his lower lip and feeling frustrated. "Dammit...what have I done?" "What was that all about Karma?" He turned his head to Nakamura, who was smiling in a mischievous way. "Nakamura, don't pull an Okajima and stay out of it." Karma snapped in frustration as the blonde threw her hands up in defense, still smiling as she rose a brow. "Whoah! Calm down there Satan, you look frustrated. I just want to know what happened. As a friend, an old classmate." She explained as she crossed her arms, looking generally concerned at Karma.
The red head sighed as he rubbed his temples. "Sorry, just that Nagi asked me a place to stay at." He explained as Nakamura pulled a spit take, making Karma confused of where she get a cup from. Anywho, she started coughing as she punched her chest a bit, having Karma patting her back. Once she calmed down, she finally gasped for air as she looked at him in utter shock. "Really?!" "Yeah, just as surprised as you are." "Nagi, the same blue headed no gender guy that's SO responsible, needs a place to stay?!" She yelled as Karma hushed her.
He saw a few eyes and maybe an angry Irina, but she sighed once Nakamura calmed down. "He really did changed, you or someone else corrupted his soul." She joked, sighing and leaning against the wall. "Well, whatever, just keep an eye on him. It sounds childish, I know believe me, but it's best to see what's his life actually like behind closed doors." She said as she faced Karma, placing her hand on his shoulder and gave a sad smile. "We may not be the best help, but it'll be any help for you and Nagi." She said as the others gathered around her, smiling and nodding their head.
Karma looked surprised yet he blinked and gave a smirk. "This is why you guys are my favorite class throughout Kunigaoka Jr. High. Thanks, I'll tell you when I need help." He said as the others cheered and yelled in happiness, giving one another's high fives and smiles.
In the further distance, Lovro was still taking with Irina, who she is still angry. "Sir, he's just a child-" "Well, he's a grown up now Irina, and he can take care of himself." Irina looked at him, even more mad before she calmed down a bit. "I know that, it's just, he made a promised with the octopus." Lovro raised a brow as he waited, edging Irina to go on. "Kurasama told me that he needs to keep it as well. And, that, he promises to never become an assassin. Even under Kurasama's watch, I still can't believe he went for the kill, literally." Irina mumbled as Lovro's eyes widened in shock, realization dawning on him as he groaned.
"The child lied to me! Nagisa is the type of guy who deceived many people, but I didn't think he'll do that to me." Lovro grounded out as Irina sighed once again. "Of course he would, he'll do anything just to survive in this world." Irina pointed out as Lovro hummed in agreement. "I'm going to have a word with him sooner or later. But now, he's on a mission. I can't just stop him." Lovro explained causing Irina to look at him with angry sharp eyes and a loud screech.
Damn, the beast woke. "WHAT?!" She screeched yet again as Lovro's ear began to ware out. "It has to do with that blonde-strawberry haired fello. Gakushuu Asano." He quickly explained, causing the blonde lady to stop in her tracks. "Seriously...?" "Yes, is there a problem?" Lovro asked, making Irina change her position from angry to worried.
"We've sent spies to see what goes down in Asano's school, only to find them missing. Three weeks later, Asano mentioned them that he fired them, and they should be alive, but we couldn't find them. Nothing was left behind, traces of blood, traces of fingerprints, nothing. Karasuma is still on about the case, but the boss ushered us to let a professional handle this. Then, about a month later, the other dude resigned, saying that his daughter went missing when he was solving a case, poor girl is probably scared out of her mind. She's an excellent bounty hunter too, but she isn't a trained one, and that's what got her kidnapped. Me and Karasuma calls this case 'The Python Case.'" Irina explained, worrying more as she but her lip in fear. "If Nagisa gets caught, I don't know what I'll do, probably find that Asano kid and beat the crap out of him, but he's hella tricky! I've seen agents turn down this case whenever one of us goes missing. And last time, a dude I was with named Kirito Oshinarí quit immediately, and he was the closest one to actually confront Asano." She looked at him straight in the eyes. "He did something to Kirito, that he...he..." She stopped, chewing on her lip as Lovro got the hint.
"He....?" Irina got the courage to speak up and nodded.
"Yeah, shot himself right in front of me and Asano. Asano just looked at him, and he...just wiped himself out! I blamed Asano for doing it, but...gosh I actually thought I was gonna die." Irina mumbled, looking at Lovro. "Please, if Nagisa goes missing, do bring hell to find him. He's still a young adult." Lovro nodded, patting her back.
"Didn't knew Gakushuu was that tricky."
"He is tricky, and I don't think anyone will find him guilty, anyone."
~•~
"Achoo!" Nagisa sneezed as he took out a napkin, blew his nose, and grumbled. "Dammit! Why did I forget my warm suit?!" He cried out in annoyance, suit in hand as he was ready to move in. His phone then rang, quirking an eyebrow as he looked at the ID
Scar and Gore
He smiled with glee, knowing them very well. They, were too, assassins from his workplace, and they were both twins. Both 25, they were Koi Ryozáki and Kai Ryozáki, the twin killers. They both would go together on missions, every skill they know equipped and ready to strike at any moment. The male twin isn't as scary, what's scary is the sister, Koi (aka Gore). She'll make any mission bloody like you woke up to your own pool of blood on that time of the month. She's a master with torture while the other twin will just give you a warning with a scar.
Nagisa smiled and clicked on the green button. "Hey Nagi! What's up?" Koi's sweet and energetic voice piped up, hearing the other Ryozáki twin groan.
"Koi, you headass. You called him during a party, remember? Might as well give our names away too." Kai scolded, making the girl smack his head.
"Shut it!"
"No you!"
"I said it first!"
"Guys, I'm not even at the party anymore," Nagisa reassure, before quickly adding in. "at least, not near anyone." The two twins sighed in relief. They both know that Nagisa went to Kunigaoka, so when they heard about the party, Koi was happy for him and Kai was worried.
"That's fine, I guess. But Nagi, guess what? You know the file of you assassinating Gakuku-"
"Gakushuu."
"Yeah, whatever his name is, we've been assigned to be with you as well! Apparently Lovro said that he'll be hard to kill." Nagisa scoffed in annoyance, leaning against a tree as he looked out to the school. It stayed the same, only that there were some new buildings there.
"I'm not weak."
"Yeah, we know, but Lovro made us, so if ya find a place to stay, tell us- OW!" Koi yelped, Nagisa hearing a smack with a (=_=') face.
"We're staying with our grandparents condo, and they ran out of room Nagisa, sorry." Kai explained, hearing Koi's whimpers of pain and rants. Nagisa chuckled.
"It's fine guys, I already found a place to stay, y'all good."
"Seriously, Nagi? Who is it?"
"Karma Akabane."
"Seriously? Your 'used-to-be' childhood friend?" Kai asked, making Nagisa hum. "Well, as long you don't kill him or he doesn't kill you, we're all good." Kai explained. "See ya Nagisa."
"Bye Nagi!"
"Bye guys." Nagisa said before hanging up, looking up at the sky. He sighed before standing up and heading towards the festive lights. Once he made it back, he noticed Karma and Nakamura talking to each other.
"Hey guys!" Nagisa called out, making the two turn around. Nakamura changed her expression to her devilish smirk.
"Well, well, well. Apparently someone needs to stay with Akabane over here. Such a bad boy.~" Nakamura teased as she laughed, making the bluenette blush from embarrassment.
"I-I didn't plan on being here immediately. Didn't think that the school will hire me!" Nagisa said, rambling on with the excuses as Karma watched them bicker. His expression showed worry and confusion, before sighing. He placed a hand on the smaller man, making the two look at Karma.
"I mean, we've been there before. So, I don't blame him, you're gonna have to sleep near the attic, though. The guest room is connected there with the attic and panic room." Karma explained, waving at the others bye and making Nagisa wave too.
The two then left, seeing the walk was awkward and silent. "Hey, uh, thanks for saving me there." Nagisa started up, smiling weakly and unsure.
"Meh, wasn't a big deal." Karma explained, pulling his car keys out and hearing a beep. The car was black, and new too, looking a bit fancy and whatnot. Nagisa got in the passenger seat and Karma joined in the drivers seat. If Nagisa can explain how the car ride is, he'll say it was awkward.
Karma wouldn't mind him and Nagisa would give him side glances and look out the window. He can't text Koi and Kai, since Karma will just ask who he's texting (and they're infamous code names!) "So, uh, hows life?" Nagisa started up.
"Eh, surviving."
"Oh, same here, being a teacher is tough."
"So is being a bureaucrat."
"Neat."
WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?! Karma do Nagisa both thought, Nagisa sweating nervously and Karma questioning his life decisions.
Gotta apologize! Both of them though as they faced each other, well, Karma tilted his head slightly.
"I'M SORRY!!" Both Nagisa and Karma eyes widened as Karma hurriedly spoke.
"Oh, you can go!"
"No no, you say something first!"
"Nagi, hurry and say what you're gonna say!"
"No you!"
The car was silent, but then turned into laughter. It want an awkward laugh, oh no, it was pure laughter. Nagisa calmed down a bit, snickering as he took a breath. "Oh my god, that was embarrassing!" Karma chuckled as well while he wiped off a tear.
"Hehe, yeah. Look Nagi, sorry if I wasn't so friendly with you," Nagisa looked at him in shock as he fiddled his fingers. "I was just...surprised to see you there when you wouldn't take our calls. And sometimes feel like you really became an assassin." Karma laughed as Nagisa hold in a choked gasp and let out a weak chuckle.
"It's okay Karma, life's just...taking a toll on me, okay? I would've answered your calls right away, but since I'm going through something and helping friends AND teaching, it's just a pain in the ass." Nagisa lied in some, but some parts were the truth. Karma hesitated as he took a deep breath and sighed.
"Is it alright if I ask what is this 'something' that's bothering you?" Nagisa bit his lip and try to think of a way to explain his assassin life and the new mission, but nothing.
"I-It's....personal." Karma sighed and nodded, leaving the car ride quiet once again.
I'm sorry Karma, but I need to protect you, and myself. I don't want to lose another one...
WHOAAAAAAAHHHH!!! PLEASE DO NOT KILL ME GUYS!! Another important note I want to mention, is that I have a crappy memory. And I have a fear that this memory gets worse and worse as I grow older, and I...just don't wanna he Alzheimer's. I know it sounds stupid, but my mom did say she had a great grandma that has the disease (and rn my dad's uncle is suffering from it) Sorry to make this short, but I kinda forgot what I was gonna write, but I remembered it when I re-read my chapters, and your comments!
Thanks so much for the support y'all, and I really appreciate it! So, just please wait so I can write the next chapter. Thank you!
