Ishaani's POV

It's been five years that my life has changed for the better. To say my life has been blissful would be an understatement. In these Five years I have gone through major transformation. I have learned a lot especially distancing my self from the negativity and toxicity.

Most importantly I learned treasuring my own self. These past few years were extremely hard for me, as I had to move on from Shivam and focus on my life. Though Shivam's presence didn't matter to me after what happened at the party five years back, But there was one person who was always at my mind.

'Aan' was always present in my mind and in my heart. I never heard anything from him after his last text which was five years back. His sudden absence was quite suspicious but what hurt me more was that he never tried to contact me. He was the only one who made me realise how much essential it is to grow and nurture on your terms, he was the one who made me realise that compromises shouldn't be made with your own self, he was the one who made me realise that it's not always the outer beauty that matters.

I wish I could know the reason behind his actions. With passage of time I started healing and focused more on my education and on my growth. As of now I am working as a lecturer in a reputed university of our city, which was always my dream.

The path of being a lecturer was never easy, a lot of hardwork, determination, focus was required but slowly and gradually things started falling in place for me. From past two years I am working as a lecturer and I am extremely happy with how my life has turned.

It was few months back when my father raised his concern for my marriage and proposed the idea of marrying the son of his friend in front of me.

Though initially I was taken aback by his idea because even after so many years the thought of 'Aan' never leaved me, especially when the proposal of marriage came for me. I wish he would have never left me and we could have stayed in contact. Probably we were never fated.

From past five years I never focused on being in some relationship, because for me at that time my healing, my growth, my career, my success, my happiness was important but now when I had everything, and I was quite satisfied, I thought to take the next step in my life.

So when my father proposed the idea of marriage, I accepted his proposal and gave my acceptance to meet the 'Guy' and his family first. Though I didn't got the chance to meet him but only his family.

Currently I was still going through the texts which I received from Ak. He is the one whose marriage proposal came for me. I denied looking at his photo as I wanted him to meet personally and have a proper conversation with him.

I have only heard from my parents that he is 'Ak' the famous businessman.

I hope him to be a nice person.

Third Person POV

Ishaani and her family was going  towards their destination which was a renowned restaurant of their town to meet Ak and his family.

Ishaani was excited yet nervous at the same time. Her heart was thudding rapidly, surprisingly there was a tingling sensation passing through her body. Soon the restaurant came into their vision and after getting down from the vehicle Ishaani and her parents started ambling towards the entrance of the restaurant.

They made their way towards left corner as that area was specifically reserved for them. Ishaani continued taking slow steps but she was stunned the moment she noticed a guy sitting on the leather couch tapping his legs in a slow manner. His eyes were directed towards Ishaani making her heart pound wildly.

The Guy rose from his place and whispered "Nice to meet you Ishaani".

The moment Ishaani heard her name from the stranger's lips, oddly she didn't felt strange, rather she felt so comfortable and giddy. Her desire to hear him more kept on increasing.

"Hi Mr AK, nice to meet you too." Ishaani mumbled.

On the other hand both the families left silently leaving both of them in each other's presence.

Ishaani was so lost in the dreamy eyes of the figure standing in front of her that she didn't register that her parents were not around her.  She felt like she had seen those shiny doe eyes somewhere. But the question was where? After registering the current scenario in her mind, she started fidgeting.

"Please don't be nervous Ishaani please Calm down and have a seat." Ak said.

Ishaani and Ak both were sitting in silence after placing their order's. One of them was nervous yet excited while the other was hesitant to reveal the past. One was lost in fascinating thoughts while the other was lost in guilt.

Finally after gaining a lot of courage  Ak decided to start a conversation but before he could open his mouth Ishaani's question caught him off guard.

"So what's your name, I mean I am only aware that people call you as Mr Ak in the business field but I want to know more about you as the real you not as some business tycoon." Ishaani whispered feeling shy all of a sudden however unknowingly she was making Ak fall over her again just like she did five years back. 

"You are still the same shy, cute, innocent and fiesty but I am proud to witness that now you have changed for your own betterment. I am proud to see that you have achieved your dreams and ambitions, I am so proud of the woman you have turned into. You might have thought that I was away from you in these past 5 years but the truth is that since the very start I was always aware of your whereabouts and wellbeing. I know I have hurt you so much Ishaani but trust me when I say my intention was not to leave you alone 5 years back.

The truth is that the day when you left your house and you were crying in an alley  the person who saw you and dropped you at your house was none other than me. I took you at your place and had a conversation with your father. I wanted to speak to you and to comfort you in your hard times but your father wanted me to leave you and go on my own separate way. Please don't misunderstand him it was not his fault that he doubted me as a wrong person who probably would again hurt his daughter, he was just trying to protect you from people like Shivam. Hey wanted me to stay away from you because he wanted you to focus on your own life and dreams as you required a proper healing from the baggage of your past which you were carrying. I decided to stay away from you not to leave you forever but to let you heal and to be a better version of myself for you.

I was always attracted to you but how could I confess my feelings when you were at your breaking point. Me and your father both wanted you to focus on yourself instead, that's why I decided to move away from you instead of engaging you in a relation with me. That time it was important for us to focus on different things but now I wanted to confess everything in front of you. I know everything might be confusing to you but now it's your decision if you accept me---Your Aan or should I say Ahaan kumar Nayak."

The entire time Ahaan was confessing his true feelings, Ishaani remained silent. She was baffled, overwhelmed and astonished at the moment. Her mind was rebuking her heart. She wanted to speak something but her mind wasn't allowing her to.

Ahaan silently sat opposite Ishaani and waited for her response but was quite stunned and dejected when Ishaani left the restaurant without uttering any word.

•Finally the truth is out. So Ahaan separated his ways (temporarily) with Ishaani on request of Ishaani's father. As he thought that Ishaani required a healing time and instead of jumping in some other sort of relationship (whether love or attraction) she should focus on herself. What do you Guys think about it?
