Do bugs bleed?

Fish do… and horses…

And dogs…

Like us, they rip

And scab

Like us, they wear their

Battle scars…

Do bugs?

Does the butterfly carry evidence of attack?

Does it's body show sign of bee sting,

Or a wing pattern healed from slash?

Skunks can grow a new tail…

So can lizards.

Can spiders grow new legs?

When the wasp,

Wrapped in web… still alive…

Attacks the hungry spider,

Does the spider detach a leg?

Does it stagger off to heal...

To weave another web,

Stung but not stilled?

Or…

Tenacity seals the wound.

The blood, the clot, the scar…

All strong first aid…

Crimson triage searches for

Everlast'n hope…

Expresses it's mojo

In the issue of proof.

The desire to continue -

The belief  in tomorrow -

Compels us to

Hit the reset button.

Do bugs know tomorrow?  

Cause if they do…

They probably bleed.
