2. Getting Changed

Deska wondered if this was what vivid hallucinations were like as she wandered the halls of the bustling college campus. Every last detail of the college surrounding her matched what she had written in her fanfiction, right down to the curve of the autumnal orange and yellow letters in the handwritten 'Festival of the Harvest Moon' signs that were dangling in the hallway.

'You need to wake up,' she internally commanded herself, nearly running headlong into a student as they walked by.

"Sorry," Deska muttered quickly, ducking her head as she tried to find somewhere to hide. Bang Chan had let her wear his clothes until she got back to a nonexistent dorm, but she didn't need to create a scandal. She knew that she would have to figure out clothing as soon as possible, which would be easier said than done considering she had no money.

Rounding a corner, this time she did run headlong into someone. A flurry of papers went all over the floor as Deska kept her head down and immediately started to try to help gather them up.

"I'm sorry," she said. "I wasn't paying attention."

"It's fine," a deep male's voice said. "Are you okay?"

Lifting her head, her eyes widened as she looked right into the eyes of Felix. His blonde hair was framing his face, the tips of some strands brushing the underside of his chin despite him attempting to have tied it back. He had on a burgundy sweater with dark blue jeans. He cocked a brow when he just saw that Deska was staring back at him.

"I repeat...are you okay?"

"Fine. I'm fine."

"K," he said with a chuckle, shifting his stuff into one arm so he could offer her a hand to help her back to her feet. "As long as you're sure. I'm Felix, by the way."

Deska nodded, her brain thinking back on how she had written Felix in this story. He had all the charm and kindness she imagined that he would have in person, being easy friends with whoever he came into contact with. He was also written as Bang Chan's best friend. Sensing that there was an uncomfortable pause left between them due to her lack of an introduction she said, "I'm Deska."

"Nice to meet you, Deska," he said. "Ummm...why are you wearing Chan's clothes?"

"I umm...he's letting me borrow them. It's a long story I don't want to get into. I need to change before someone else recognizes them."

"They are really ordinary looking so no one might, except Bells that is. Alright...where's your dorm? I'll help you get there without being spotted."

"I don't live here."

"So you live off campus?"

"You could say that," Deska said as she watched Felix nod.

"You can come back to my dorm then. I'm sure I have something you can wear so we can give Chan his clothes back. Unlike Chan, I'm unattached so no one will really bat an eye if you're wearing my clothes."

"Unless they bat an eye because they think I'm your girlfriend," Deska said, immediately wishing she hadn't said those words as Felix just laughed.

"Well let them gossip then," Felix said. "It could be entertaining."

Felix's laugh was infectious, causing Deska to smile and laugh along with him as she followed him down the hallway and outside into the bright sunshine. The crispness of fall hung in the air as the breeze stirred up some leaves nearby into a mini whirlwind. The courtyard of the campus lay stretched out before Deska in the same way she envisioned it while writing. The campus courtyard was laid out in a circle, several stone pathways branching off to the different academic buildings and dormitories. In the center of the courtyard laid a fountain where a statue of a stone woman pouring a pitcher of water stood. The pitcher was tipped so the water filling the fountain came from it. Deska slowed in her following of Felix when she reached the fountain, looking at the reflection in the clear water of the sunny sky above.

"Hey, you coming?" Deska heard Felix ask as she lifted her head from the fountain to where Felix stood with a small grin on his face.

Nodding, Deska turned her head to look at him before walking away from the fountain. The event in the fanfiction associated with the fountain was set to happen during the night of the Harvest Moon festival. It had been the one part she had been able to write before getting writer's block and was now the part she was hating that she had.

It was the part where Felix would meet his death.

"Welcome to my temporary humble abode," Felix said as he opened the door. "Excuse the mess. That would be Changbin's fault."

Deska stood behind him, peering into the interior of the dorm as Felix led the charge inside past small piles of laundry lying about. She entered, shutting the door behind her as he went to a dresser that was at the foot of one of the identical twin beds, yanking a drawer open to begin looking through the clothes there for something to wear. He soon dug out a t-shirt that was an apricot orange color with yellow leaves on it.

"This okay?" he asked as Deska nodded, reaching out a hand as he chucked it her way. He then kept digging until he found some black jogger pants with white stripes down either leg. He walked those over to her.

"I'll turn so you can change," he said, "and keep a hand on the door incase Changbin tries to charge in like a bull in a china shop."

"Thanks," she said as she started getting dressed. Her mind kept thinking back on the fountain and about what was going to happen later that night.

'Is there anything I can do to stop it since I'm now stuck inside the story?' she thought.

"I'm all done," she said as she finished changing, picking up Bang Chan's discarded clothes.

"Awesome. I'll go give these back to Chan so there's no rumors," Felix replied as he let go of the door to turn back around and take Bang Chan's clothes from Deska's hands.

"Thank you for helping me out."

"Don't mention it," Felix said. "I'm sure you would have done the same thing. I just have a feeling about you. Now come on. Lets go get some food before finals start, yeah?"

"Channie! Which top do you think I should wear tonight?"

Bang Chan was standing in the cafeteria, trying to focus on the menu board of choices for the day while his girlfriend Bells stood beside him. She had been trying to show Bang Chan potential outfits on her phone for the festival later that evening, but his mind was elsewhere. Lee Know stood nearby, looking from a slightly annoyed Bells to Bang Chan who was zoning out staring at the menu.

"Channie, are you even listening to me?" Bells asked.

"Sorry Bells. I think he has his mind elsewhere after what happened this morning," Lee Know said.

"This morning?" Bells asked confused, looking from him to Bang Chan again. "What happened this morning?"

Bang Chan turned his gaze to look at Lee Know beside him, fixing him with a semi-glare before turning to look at Bells.

"Nothing Bells. I just overslept and now I'm all freaked out about finals," Bang Chan said, glossing over the fact that he had woken up to some strange woman in his room.

"There's no need to worry, Channie. After all, my boyfriend is a genius!" Bells said, wrapping her arms about his shoulders and placing a kiss on his cheek.

Releasing him after, she pulled up the pictures of the outfits on her phone again to show him as his attention was diverted towards it. He began to zone out looking at the outfits just as he did the menu board, but tried to pretend he was at least being attentive with a well placed hum or nod of approval.

"Well, whatever you wear, I think you're going to look stunning at the festival tonight, Bells," Bang Chan said as he watched a smile light up her face.

It was then that he noticed Felix entering the cafeteria with a shopping bag draped on one arm, chatting right along with a woman. She was half obscured by Felix at the moment, leaving Bang Chan to wonder who the mysterious woman was.

'Is Felix dating someone?' Bang Chan thought as he watched Felix go over to a nearby table with the woman.

The moment she took a seat, Bang Chan saw who it was and his eyes widened in shock. It was that woman that had been in his room earlier that morning.

"Will you both excuse me for a second?" Bang Chan asked before walking off towards the table where Felix was without waiting for their answer.

"Where's he going?" Bells asked Lee Know as he turned to watch Bang Chan disappear towards Felix's table where a woman sat. A small smirk decorated Lee Know's face that he quickly let disappear before Bells turned to face him.

"Looks like to see Felix," Lee Know said with a shrug before adding, "I dunno. I'm not my roommate's keeper."

Lee Know wandered away from Bells to get some food, leaving her to frown slightly when she saw Bang Chan coming to a stop at the table where Felix and a woman she had never met before sat.
